It was crazy letting him go out on loan after the window had closed so he couldn't go to a L1 / L2. Him going out and playing senior professional football though is exactly what he needed at this stage of his career. It's sink or swim time for him.

Douglas is much, much better going forward. They're, at best, equal defensively, which is a worry. That said, Bell has looked better with Kaminski organising the defence and Wharton / Ayala alongside him telling him what to do.

Unfortunately you're not allowed to defend in the modern game. If the attacking player throws themselves to the ground at any contact, how do you counter that?

Refs been looking to ruin the game from the first minute. Mission accomplished. Brentford are a shadow of the team they were last season, which brings a smile to my face.
