  1. I think he's looked lovely in recent sub appearances. Holtby has been poor of late. It's a like for like change.
  2. I though the looked fine. Holtby has been anonymous for a while now. Buckley needs game time to develop - happy with him getting 20 minutes a game with the odd start.
  3. After a sensational draw against all odds (playing against 12 will do that for you) last Saturday we've followed it up with two brutally unlucky defeats. Same as it ever was for Mowbray.
  4. People need to understand that the 4-3-3 formation is brutal on the midfield 3 and the 2 wide men. You can't play 90 minutes twice a week. Subbing them all at the same time was stupid, but all 3 were looking very tired.
  5. His lack of subs killed us on Wednesday.
  6. I mean he's hit the crossbar and drawn a world class save from their keeper. Other than that though, sure.
  7. They'll be knackered. Can't play two games a week with this system. You'd have to be supremely fit.
  8. Remember Toney's blatant dive for Brentford? Middlesborough's deflected winner at the death? Doesn't seem to even itself out at all.
  9. We might be the unluckiest team on the planet.
  10. Please point out where I was incorrect.
  11. He's just a yard too slow to be sensational on his own at this level. Playing with better players he'll be great at the next level - his range of passing will make up for his lack of pace.
  12. It's not that we're more interested in possession than doing anything with it - it's that the movement upfront is poor. Just watch us next time we have the ball in an advanced position out wide. The movement is almost non-existent.
  13. Lost his mojo and his backroom staff. It's a no from me. Go find a young, hungry manager from the lower leagues. Someone who's ripping up trees, but doesn't have the funds / hasn't been there long enough to kick the team on.
  14. As evidenced by his PL season last year, no he's not. He's a very good Championship player, but nothing more.
  15. At this point the conversation is turning to "imagine dropping Bell".
  16. Gallagher can't protect him from those 40 yard balls in behind Douglas. He's too slow for this level in this formation - every team knows it and exploits it.
  17. Nah, not much in it. We could have had a couple easily if the ball bounces differently.
  18. Unfortunately he's just so slow. Everyone gets behind him.
  19. I saw that Mowbray was our longest serving manager since Souness. Baffling.
  20. Not without Brereton we're not. He provided so much to the team in that AML position. Haven't replaced that at all.
  21. Looks like we're back to our best - Norwich have offered absolutely nothing, but they're somehow 1-0 up.
  22. Reading this thread makes me want to sell / release Pike.
