  1. I'm going to assume there are no credible transfer links? The window is officially open, our squad is decimated and we're a few goals outside of the playoffs. We should literally have players queued up at Brockhall right now for medicals.
  2. Poached? I think he'll be applying for jobs.
  3. He'll be exactly like Beck when pushed further forward - he can 'do a job' but he's a FB for a reason. Just sign a pacey winger - it's really not that hard.
  4. That looks like just shifting a team around to accommodate your favourites - and signing a player we don't possibly need.
  5. That question has been asked for years. Sold Gallagher, Ennis, Szmodics, Phillips, Kaminski and Raya for £40m+. We've spent buttons. It was always going to catch up to us. Eustace has just cut his cloth accordingly and made us very, very hard to beat. With the dearth in quality at this level you're always likely to get a chance or two to nick it from a corner / a defensive error.
  6. What about the additional 90 seconds he added on to the 10? The camera caught Eustace having a go at the 4th official on 98 minutes. He said "There's 2 minutes left, not 5". He knew what was going to happen.
  7. A few untimely losses of possession when he was in good positions and a terrible header from a good Brittain cross. He needs a run of games in L1 as the main striker - but sadly I think he'll be kept on the bench here for the rest of the season.
  8. The ref gave them an extra 90 seconds to score a winner at the end. Genuinely ridiculous.
  9. Unbelievable. Why even play the game if you're going to gift them the game like that as a referee? We've been done twice now by refs - this game and Watford where the opposition created nothing and the ref stepped in to gift them 3 points.
  10. Who's this SKY commentator and how has he managed to wrangle a gig commentating on the game from the home end?
  11. LOL they're in court for fraud. I wouldn't believe their accounts.
  12. We spent nothing in the summer - Gallagher, Szmodics, Ennis all being sold far exceeded any incomings (by over £10m if I had to guess).
  13. I think Liverpool still like Morton even though he was shite for us.
  14. It was a fine performance - a good one if we take our chances. He literally doesn't have anyone else to play in CM than Buckley (and JRC). That's on the recruitment team, not the manager. He wanted to rest Baker / Tronstad as we're playing a ridiculous amount of games at the moment.
  15. It'd be a great signing if we were a functional club and it was part of a structured approach to transfers. Alas I can't help but feel like it'll be the only money we spend in January.
  16. 16 different goal scorers and 9 goals from subs. Eustace is doing an incredible job squeezing everything he can from this group of very limited players.
  17. That's a pretty apt description. Guys around me screaming for attacking changes on about 50 minutes and I just thought "who?" Weimann's legs have gone (although he's clearly a very clever player), Hedges is awful, Leonard has been out for 9+ months and has 5 professional goals to his name and Ohashi. You can see now why JDT used to turn to his bench and just shrug his shoulders.
  18. He'd literally be gone in the summer if he was - that's how the football pyramid works now, sadly.
  19. Who's playing LB for you then when Beck picks up an injury? Are you also happy with Buckley being first man off the bench in midfield for the next 6+ games? We need strengthening everywhere.
  20. Sounds peak Rovers to me.
  21. Just watched the SKY highlights: https://www.skysports.com/football/video/36395/13281299/blackburn-0-1-hull-championship-highlights What the actual fuck? Makes it look like Hull were all over us - that was literally every shot they had. Where are the two sitters we missed?
  22. Was it a poor performance or did we just refuse to take gilt edged chances?
  23. Absolutely no chance Hull go down. They've got a better squad than us.
  24. Isn't it about the chance rather than the outcome? i.e. Cantwell side footing wide from 8 yards out is a baaaaaad miss - doesn't matter if it's on target or not as 9 times out of 10 a professional player slots that home so it's a high xG chance.
  25. The most frustrating thing about Gueye is that all of his teammates are stood miles away from him. Cantwell wanders all over the shop and Dolan / ACD are stuck on their wings. He wins the ball and it just gets turned over. One of the three has to gamble that he's going to win it. Speaking of ACD, he'd be a worldie if he had any pace. Too many times today he cut back inside rather than driving at his man 'cos he knew he didn't have the pace to run past him.
