Unless it’s a very good fee, we can’t really afford to lose him as we need him for cover. Like others have said it’s best for his long term career that he stays for a little while longer. Another few seasons and he’ll be able to pick where he moves, could even be Citeh or United if he continues to develop as he has.

Would it be more beneficial to his agent for him to leave now or wait until he’s out of contract? Or even January? When’s his baby due? Ben’s turn in form is mainly down to confidence, a move to a premier league club and a bad start and it could all go Pete Tongue. I don’t think he’ll be pushing for a move, but I don’t think we could offer him a contract that he’d sign. I don’t want to sell, as I think we’ll be battle at the wrong end of the table if he leaves. There’s no chance we’ll get replacements in if he goes, there’s only two weeks left and we aren’t the quickest at transfers.

We’d need two Bowlers to replace Ben. We’d have to spend every penny of the transfer money and even then I don’t think it’d be worth it. If he’d scored his recent goals for Norwich or Watford they’d be on Sky Sports news every five minutes. £30 million price tag for me and maybe a defender coming the other way on top. At the rate he’s improving he could be up there with our best.

I clicked a link on the LET site yesterday, saying Bradley and his girlfriend had a new addition to the family and thought he’d quite that quiet. Turns out they’ve got a new dog! Hopefully he won’t pull anything picking all the poop. Maybe he’ll do a goal celebration? Like the Bebeto one? But for a doggy; pretending to a squatting dog by the corner flag probably would go down in history.

Under Mowbray some of the match threads would go very off topic, we needed something to take our minds off the mediocrity and despair! If we stuck to the topic on this thread, it’d be filled with tumbleweed 😂 We’ve built a lovely little community over here, many different kinds of posters with different views. You could liken it to a load of daft drunk blokes in a pub chatting shit about the footy and having a laugh, passing the time. It’s not an official source of info, it’s like social media for Rovers fans. I’m sure we used to have two transfer threads though? One for links and one for chat/discussion.

I’d love to see one of these presentations. It’s a good thing that he wants the players thoughts and views. I Imagine it’s a massive change for the players. In my job some of the best managers I’ve had are ones that engage you and value your input. It’s difficult not to get carried away, it’s early doors, but it feels like we’ve stumbled across a real gem here. I don’t recall him being top of anyones list and most of us wanted Farke or the guy that was at Sheffield United. Massive credit must go to Gregg for pulling this out of his hat! Doesn’t seem that long ago we had Coyle and his doughnuts; I couldn’t bare to ever watch an interview with him and now I’m on Twitter everyday hoping for more interviews with JDT! He radiates positivity, he seems to be having the same affect on the players as us fans too. Shall we crowdfund a statue?? 😂
