Even before he turned Chilean, Ben othered something, an outlet if nothing else. Playing Gally is like playing with ten men most of the time. So many times attacks and especially counter attacks break down as soon as he gets the ball.

GET IN!!!! I’m not sure I’ve missed the last ten minutes nerves in the previous 5 games, but damn does it feel good at 90 minutes. Ben Brereton lost his Chilean passport late on and was minus the Diaz…. We nearly Mobrayed it with the Gally Sub, we should stick with what’s got us here, even if the game has gone a little flat. In our system, if only takes Khadra a moment to do something to create a chance. If fact he did just before the substiton, but I think Golden Bollocks Gally had already been told he’d play. Though, I loved the way he KO’d their goalie 😂 We could have saved ourselves all the nerves if we’d put away a few more of the chances first half, their goal was scruffy, but we got through it. Lenihan the last five mins! I think he heard he’d got another watch and won those headers with every bit of his body and soul. I love this set of players! Massive credit to the manager, but he has me anxious, like a Grandparent that is in good health, but you worry she is going to fleeced by a gypsy cold calling with sponges and tea towels for hundreds of pounds. He needs a good assistant, to chill him out and give him a brew and some cake(lemon drizzle?). ☺️

Not been following the chat, but bringing Gallagher on has made it easier for Barnsley, he’s no threat out wide with the way we play as Khadra is. Plus we’re less effective going forward. Even if Khada isn’t playing as well as he can, he still makes the opposition cautious. Should have been Dolan for Khadra. Can’t understand the tactics of bringing Gallagher on?

Difficult not to get carried away and start to think what if… The contracts/January sale thing and the worry of Tony’s Tombola getting dusted off is (just about)keeping my feet on the ground at the minute. Who’d have thought we’d be anywhere near this position when we sold Armstrong! It’s a nice feeling to be looking forward to the football again with a positive vibe.

My thoughts exactly. We’ve quite often in the past not given players a chance after a decent showing. Could prove to be an awesome bit of loan business, when it looked like a waste. I want to give credit to the manager, but it almost feels like somethings seem to turn into positives against his doings. Anyway, let’s just hopefully embrace it and hope it’s not a flash in the pan.

I thought they all brought packed lunches and thermos flasks on the JW upper? 😉 They’ve always been slow serving. I remember seeing a four pint pourer at Stockport County during the Souness years, they even had pints ready poured! Then you’d get back to Ewood and it’d take 15 minutes at half time to get a drink you’d have to down in one! 😂

When I was naughty as a kid I just missed out on my spends or got grounded, this is an entirely different level of punishment! Seriously though, I hope we’re all shocked and they have a great memory of their first match. When it’s going well nothing can beat watching your team at the ground, learning songs, taking in the emotions, surrounded by people with the same love as you. I had a great time growing up with Rovers, I saw us be the best time in the country with the worlds best striker. When that time passed even when we weren’t the best we fought and battled against the best and made sure they had to put in a serious shift to beat us. We had players that wowed us, playing for the shirt, managers we could get behind and respect. That magical match day feeling is long gone for me, but hopefully we’ll see better times at Ewood in the future again.

I wasn’t really surprised, definitely confirms we’ve just started one of our regular death spirals and he’s got his Tombola out again.

I enjoyed the second the most, great to see some nice wing play with a good old fashioned cross. As @chaddyrovers said the fourth was also great, the front three combining well. Nice to see Gallagher using his height well, which he doesn’t always do, with a lovely knock down.

Gallagher surprised me today too. I’m his biggest critic, especially after his shocker in his last match, but he did well today. Hopefully added confidence can push him on like Amigo Díaz!

It’s secured his wine for the season 😉
