Why is it ok for you to make the same comments repeatedly but not for others? -

Agreed. But I'd take him for about half that. Maybe a smidge more. -
You know why. Starts with inc, ends with tence.

I don't have any confusion, I read it fine the first time. You're getting overly literal with it. And Ipswich invested enough that they would have failed FFP without promotion, as another poster stated. Venkys simply won't do that. Automatic promotion isn't a conversation we should even bother having here, we have neither the funding nor the competence. Sneaking into the playoffs is the best we can hope for under this outfit. -

Then they immediately said a bit of luck would do it and quoted two clubs who did it that way without parachute payments. It clearly wasn't a literal statement but an emphasis on the difficulty. -

That isn't what they said, and they also gave examples of such clubs going up. -

He hasn't been here long. Or, apparently, asked around much before joining. He'll learn. It will break him. He'll leave. They'll find the next naive out of work manager and the joyous cycle will repeat. -
I found myself highly irritated by these comments from Yasir Sufi (who once had a great reputation for doing sterling community work, and shouldn't have moved into this commercial role): “So we can't afford to lose a quarter of a million pounds in season ticket income to be competitive on the football pitch." Yes we fucking can! We probably spent more than that on the pointless Dennis loan. We threw away orders of magnitude more than that by letting the contracts of numerous saleable assets run out over the last few years. We brought in even larger orders of magnitude more by selling Wharton, Szmodics, Gallagher, Raya's sell-on clause, the impending Wharton sell-on clause, etc. The owners are fucking billionaires who are allegedly happy to fund us and only held back by that pesky FFP (or I would say that pesky perpetual court case, but we've been assured that's not an issue even though their funding has now become the minimum). On top of which, the reduced ticket revenue is hardly just down to a lower price. Every year, the fanbase becomes more and more disillusioned with the farcical cancer that presides over the club. Every time we are poised for the playoffs in January and the board and owners sabotage us with incompetence and a vacuum of ambition, more fans finally think 'fuck this I'm off'. But no, fuck all that, lets suck every penny out of this deprived northern town and chase more of our dwindling fanbase away forever because 250k is gonna make any fucking difference to our competitiveness, when sales amounting to tens of millions don't impact our fucking budget!

And not even the 2 years you predicted, not guaranteed anyway....1, with the option of another. Which gives us the opportunity to 'sign' him again next summer and fill a role again. Transfer market genius! -

The entire way the club is ran is a recipe for a power struggle. -

I would guess (top to bottom) chief, lead, senior. But it's all corporate cockwaffle. -

Well that last part is definitively not true. The first part is right though. -

That's abysmal. It's one thing if the story leaks before the player is informed, it's another thing to announce it publicly, in any forum let alone social media, before the very simple task of informing the player. Basic decency. Expect us to follow suit. -

Hope we take the same approach to JRC, who has a similar fitness record. And costs a lot more to keep. -

I don't know what he is, and I'm not sure JRC knows either. He has had spells being good in a few positions, and spells being dogshit in the same positions. The main issue is his fitness, which will never hold up for more than half a season at best, and even when it is 'holding up' for that long he seems to be playing through a niggle and never looks fully fit. It's time to part ways tbh. -
Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25
bluebruce replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I don't agree at all. You can want to play and prove yourself but simultaneously have your confidence eroded. Leading to you giving your all but self doubt being an invisible choke around your neck. You work hard but you second guess yourself, your touch is slightly off, any skewed pass feels like a vindication of the criticism against you, etc. As I said they're things the best can sometimes overcome if they have enough self belief and positivity, but it's by no means easy. And this is all assuming his continued absence is actually even down to poor performance. All I know is his early showings were highly regarded by fans at both clubs, suddenly he was dropped and pretty much stayed in the wilderness. A manager that will drop you when you're playing well probably doesn't care that you're still playing well in cameos later. -
Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25
bluebruce replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
My suspicion is that being dropped in League One for seemingly no reason did a number on his confidence. It sounded a bit like he got dropped in League Two for seemingly little reason too, which won't have helped. When you've seen yourself be a Championship squad player recently and are still young, it won't be easy to keep your head up. Of course, being able to is part of what seperates the successes from the nearlies. However you slice it, a couple of disastrously selected loans for him. -
It's a point worth considering, it's been a very long season for Yuki (albeit with an injury-induced 'rest'). You have to wonder if he might have a better season when he hasn't had to play nearly continuously. The flipside of that being it's very possible his excellent start with us was down to already being essentially midseason in his match fitness whilst others were barely past playing friendlies. Will be interesting to see how he gets on next year. Been a useful signing for the money, but we do need a top scorer on more goals. Lewis Baker has scored only one less goal this season and he's a midfielder.

That will mean very little if a promotion chaser offers him more money. -

An appalling (I was going to say shocking, but these things don't shock anymore) lack of ambition, understanding and vision. I'm also, like most of us, sick of hearing about building things up gradually. We've been allegedly doing that for about 10 fucking years, and we all know full well it ends up requiring practically an entire reset every summer because everything is horrendously mismanaged. How is it that promotion isn't our objective, when we've had three seasons out of the last four where it was very much on the cards if we hadn't dicked it up in January every time? How are we still talking about slowly building step by step? The only next step is to reach the fucking playoffs, we just missed out by one position. This is a frank admission that the objective is NOT to improve on last season. Plus, it's galling to hear about trying to push academy minutes, and have an academy player as third choice in every position, with zero mentions of whether those academy players are actually ready to contribute. But buy more season tickets guys, support the battle for midtable, what's wrong with you ungrateful fans? Get fucked. -
That depends on what we mean by the club. And for that matter, which fans we are talking about too...
-
I'd do the same if I were him, frankly because of fans like the one who posted just above you. Gets far, far more stick than he deserves.

BRFCS Player of the Season - 2024/25 ⚪️🔵
bluebruce replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
No need to apologise. I didn't give my opinion. But personally I'd have Brittain down for 4th. Travis 2nd. Him and Tronstad have been the fulcrum of the team, and when either was out we massively struggled. Same can be said for Batth, without whom the defence became porous. Brittain has been excellent, with great contributions (5 assists and 2 goals from his position in 30 odd games is very good going), but I don't think the team has been quite as reliant on him as the other three. And remember the score is based on match by match scores given by board members rather than just an end of season vote. I certainly see the argument for Brittain being in the top 3 though. I can't imagine he was far behind. -

Nothing wrong, just people having different opinions to yours. He had a great season, so did Tronstad, Travis and Batth.
