  1. I think we're comfortably at the point where I put credence in Wilsden confirming what Jackson says, more than Jackson confirming what Wilsden says. He's also missing the third option of going to the appeals board. One thing that doesn't seem to have been discussed here...I'd expect even if Miyoshi's game in the second tier knocks his points down, it shouldn't be too hard to argue to an appeals board that he would have qualified a week ago and isn't any worse a player now. Japan international, experience in the Bundesliga, Championship, Belgian top flight. Prime years. In his recent season at Brum he played 43 Championship games which would have auto qualified him if it had been applied for but obviously he had a release clause so that didn't happen. Seems a no brainer for a panel to me.
  2. I'm not sure he can be considered that much of a threat yet at 17, I'm more surprised because we are trying to persuade him his future lies here. I may not be in favour of starting him just to do that, but he should be making the bench unless he's injured.
  3. Miller's very first throw I think it was, created a chance. Sadly it fell to Mcloughlin, who showed us why he didn't score in 6 years for Hull.
  4. I can't see the logic in this. He wasn't just getting some attention, he was being wrestled. There were that many bodies I didn't see it clearly until the replay which is a bit of a closeup, so I get why the ref missed it. But you can't keep your balance when someone is all over you like that, and if you can't keep your balance you can't clear the ball cleanly. If it had happened at the other end of the pitch, I wouldn't be giving a striker grief for failing to strike the ball cleanly either.
  5. 'A very poor clearance from one of the new boys Alebiosu' Well Kevin, it's pretty hard to do a good clearance when you're being wrestled to the ground.
  6. As I said earlier, I didn't see the first 30 minutes so I can't comment on that. As I also said before, it's irrelevant what Travis did to the goalscorer because Alebiosu was fouled first, and the goal went in anyway. No, it's just his fault he gave a goal that shouldn't have stood and failed to give us a clear penalty.
  7. If the referee had made the right decisions, we would have come away with at least a point.
  8. I didn't notice, but why does that even matter if Alebiosu was blatantly fouled before that though? Plus the guy scored so they would hardly have given a penalty.
  9. God I hope we let him go when his contract is up (or sell him before, 10 quid will do). But I can't help but think we won't want to miss the chance of extending a contract for a player who isn't in demand elsewhere, just to show we can extend senior contracts sometimes. He is gash.
  10. The Ribeiro free kick after the red? Because that was a terrible spot to shoot from unless you're a free kick specialist. We don't have any of those. The cross was the right call.
  11. Fair enough. I've no idea why you read it as that.
  12. Not many teams tend to look good in the first game of the season. Full match sharpness is rarely there yet. I don't think we have been worse (caveat - I did miss the first 30 minutes). Looks like an even game, we just haven't had penetration. Neither have WBA really, they've mostly just launched it from distance while I've been watching. Their goal should have been disallowed (I do get how the ref missed it though) and we should have had a penalty, so could have been 1 nil to us at half time. The Championship referee lottery will continue this year.
  13. Just seen why Mcloughlin didn't score in 6 years for Hull.
  14. Seeing a replay of their goal, is Alebiosu not getting dragged all over the place when trying to clear? Looks like it shouldn't have stood to me.
  15. 'Teasing low ball' our commentator called it. Nah mate it was just shite.
  16. Must be a Dingle working at Google. It seems to be back to normal now.
  17. Seems daft to be discussing Cantwell leaving at such length when there aren't even any rumours about bidders or him wanting out.
  18. Under normal owners that would be lovely. Under this lot it's taking the piss.
  19. I'm sure it won't be long before people are using them passive aggressively like the laughing emoji.
  20. I've been more thinking he looks like Bill Skarsgaard.
  21. As has repeatedly been pointed out though, Gestede has said outgoing sales make no impact on the budget. Whilst I find that hard to believe (surely it at least affects next year's budget), it does mean there's little reason being happy or even content with any sales of decent players. By the same token as 'we've never made the playoffs with him', we've also been on the verge in 3 of the last 4 seasons where he has been playing. The one he played the least games in, where we loaned him out to Ipswich for half the season after sidelining him here, we nearly got relegated.
  22. The 25k every time the case goes to court even if it isn't seen thing can't be real. That's an insane amount of money in India, the figure must be in rupees. If it is real, in pounds, and not just a reflection of the lawyer fees, no wonder the courts put way more cases on their docket than they can possibly see.
  23. Only highlights clip I could find of him, it's from years ago from his time in Japan and Belgium, but perhaps gives a flavour. Apologies if already posted.
