  1. Was told 2 months ago by an ex Rovers chairman that he thought Rovers were a stepping stone to a bigger club, hope he’s wrong but I’m not convinced he’ll be here at the start of the season.

On the plus side I think we are in a better position to get someone decent in with GB involved if indeed he does go.Certainly wouldn’t be an Owen Coyle type, think we’ve moved on from those days.

  2. Spoke to a guy who spotted Kaminsky on the train coming back from Millwall, sat in first class, said he was very approachable and gave his lad his gloves and shirt, asked him if he would still be at Rovers next season, and replied only if he was No 1.

Said he needed to be first choice to keep in the Belgian squad, and thought he was the best goalkeeper at the club, without being arrogant. He said Pears has done a decent job since he’s been injured but expected to be back as No 1.

So basically down to the manager, but if he isn’t no 1 he’s definitely off.

Could probably get a few million for him and that might be what the manager is thinking to bolster his transfer kitty for other positions.

Be interesting to see which way it goes…

An eye for an eye - they give us a small allocation they get the same in return. We would have sold the entire Cricket Field stand had they provided it as they have in the past, instead they refused and provided a small allocation. One set of toilets open for the entire away following too which was a disgrace.

For once I fully support this decision, my only 'grievances' are not putting them upstairs and giving them 250 hospitality tickets - I sincerely hope those people won't be behind me in the JW stand jumping up and down or banging on the glass like they have in the past. I am pleased however that those hospitality tickets have effectively come out of their overall allocation, reducing standard tickets to just 2000.

There's too much history with this fixture, too much riding on it from Rovers' point of view with our league position, to hand over a huge allocation to them. Nobody else provides 6,7,8000 tickets to away teams, let alone their biggest enemies, so not sure on what basis we should be expected to do so.

Next stop is to make the day as unpleasant as possible for them as they did to us - no beer sales, one set of toilets open for the whole lot of them, and a zero tolerance approach to any flags being brought into the ground.

And if they don't like it they can start by asking questions of their own Club who were the first to do all those things.

As for dingles 'turning up' in Blackburn or at Ewood - really? You'd have to be real weirdo to not have a ticket, yet spend your day travelling to Blackburn for no reason other than to hang around causing bother, especially when your team is on tv and you can safely watch it from home/a pub in dingleland, yet you'd rather miss watching your team play to hang around like a spare part in Blackburn? Sounds like a real fun day out. Almost as though they aren't actually interested in watching the match....

Pretty certain, hospitality will be in Darwen end, old legend lounge.

Thought they were both on 9, but he didn’t sub Travis for last 10 mins on Friday when 3 0 down, which I thought strange so you might be right, Sharpe will probably let us know.

Just had a search and yes Travis only 8 bookings, explains why he wasn’t subbed late on Friday, so it’s just Thomas with 9…

If Thomas got booked would he be "suspended" for a game he is cup tied for or does it carry over?

And is Travis definitely on 9?

OK, I'm into panic stations now and thinking logistics.

Rovers usually arrive at away games 60 minutes before the match (I believe?)

On a good run, without traffic, Brockhall to Birmingham City is 2 hours 30 minutes on a coach.

    Rovers kick off at 7:45pm

I reckon we have 36 minutes before the coach leaves for the game and the opportunity for a player to meet the manager before they sign is over. Does a player sign without meeting the manager in person? I'm not sure, does anyone know how normal that would be?

    Went down last night.

    Rough morning?

unsall has said that a French attacker is on his way over for a medical today. We alL assumed it was ogbo, Sharpe has denied that….A poster mentioned that this krasso is out of contract and looking at his abilities it fits what JDT was looking for. We’ve just literally debated him & how it could be him. It’s your choice whether to agree or not. Not sure why you’ve taken such an offence to it…Could maybe be Josh Maja as we’ve been linked with him before and he too is out of contract soon.

No, said a striker is supposedly flying over from France today for a medical, not sure of name or if he is French, hopefully something happens shortly 😀

Krasso looks another player with a mediocre strike rate in  lower leagues. They've left it too late again and are now scurrying around looking for someone to fill in. This should have all been sorted weeks ago. Broughton has had months to target the right players. He had a free pass last summer because he came in late but there's no excuse this time

It was sorted out weeks ago, with the lad from Brighton , finances sorted with Brighton then the lad has changed his mind and wants to fight for his place, that’s what happens, nothing we could do,just move on to the next target .

when has he ever been right on the money?

Sorry, but ive been reading these boards for 20+ years and have never seen Unsall claim to be an ITK, or even make ITK claims (ie, suggest deals are done).

If you can elaborate Im happy to be proven wrong.

I never got a name, assumed it could be him, all I was told someone is flying in from France tomorrow for a medical from someone from the club who certainly should know what’s going on.

Think you would be surprised. Founder member of FL and Premier League winners.

I wouldn’t be surprised, took nigh on 3 years for Walker trust to find someone when we were only £20 mil in debt. Would be nice if there was someone out there to take over but I’m not so sure there would be a queue…

Anyway back to topic, who we bringing in the next few days, not many names being banded  about, need a pacy striker, experienced midfielder ( not over the hill) I do think they will get a couple in but we might have to let a couple out to finance it, unfortunately..

Venkys and Pasha never speak with supporters and can't be trusted. They are custonians of our club and are a disgrace.

VENKYS, PASHA, WAGGOTT, CHESTON, SYLVESTER AND COAR SHOULD BE REMOVED ASAP

Very frustrating, but getting rid of Venkys when we are losing circa £400,000 a WEEK which they make up, and probably pay average wages in the division.Have you anybody in mind who would take over the club. Can’t think of many who would want to take it on..

I think the point being made, and correctly so. Is that this incessant whinging about players leaving on a free is irritating. People somehow think that we have these players under lock and key and can tell them what to do…we can’t - it’s a simple supply and demand scenario….

Rovers have offered every one of those leavers a contract over the last 2+ years. The players have rejected the contracts because the demand for their services is sufficiently high enough for them to realise they can get a better deal elsewhere. Others have signed contracts, because it’s suited THEM. The likes of A Wharton and Phillips signed because they see a pathway to first team football. Make no bones about it, should they both kick on as is expected then neither will be rushing to sign a new £20k per week contract in 3yrs when their agents being told they can get £120k!!

This ‘let them rot in the ressies’ crap is boring too! Who even says that, these days? Why would you let your best assets rot when they could be winning you games!? It’s archaic.

Where we can and must be better is in long term planning and looking to engineer moves for players who indicate they won’t sign extensions in good time (2yrs)….but if they won’t sign, and won’t move then you’re stuck. There’s nothing you can do!

This regime will be judged on that planning over the next 12-24 months. With the extensions they’ve secured, I’d say they’ve made a decent start.

Yes a very sensible post, you can’t make players sign a contract unless you offer stupid money, which we won’t/ can’t do these days, which is the right decision, the amount of fans saying we’ve screwed up on Brereton is laughable, especially when 80% of fans would have given him away for free not long ago.

Can someone tell me why, with billionaire owners, we cannot afford various players and why we automatically drop down the pecking order when other clubs are in for a player.

If it's FFP surely other clubs are subject to the same rules.

From the way people talk anyone would think we didn't have a pot to piss in.

Different clubs have different turnovers and our wage to turnover over is frightening, 14.5 ml turnover to 26 ml wages, I know some on here don’t believe in FFP and sanctions, and it’s going to harder with turnover/ wages to go to 70% in next 3 years, how’s that going to happen.3EEE4A3B-5902-4E58-8912-74E67FED0BFF.jpeg.fa21e567bb78e623a9e91101fbfbcb0b.jpeg
