It's amazing what this has evolved into.

Who in their right minds, would have let all of this happen.

This is exactly why I find it very hard to deviate from, them (or the initial people involved) having something serious to hide.

I spent so much of my time being bitter, not going to games and generally being miserable because of these idiots. I took the decision a to try and forget them, support the club, shirt and players, but its hard when you know you've got them in the background, knowing I wouldn't trust any of them to find their own arse with both hands.

I hope they go bust to be honest, I hope they suffer as much as the businesses they closed down by allowing that relegation to happen under king rat. This club will never die, clubs like ours always survive and this one will rise again, once they scurry back under the rock from where they came, but until that happens, its crisis after crisis after crisis.

  2. The last vinyl I bought was 'Rain Dogs' by Tom Waits only last week, something about vinyl that brings another element to the listening experience, even though music platforms and CD's are better quality, maybe its just the nostalgia we all crave for.

Dull as dishwater game. Any neutral or football fan tuning in hoping to see some entertainment would have turned off after 30 minutes. Kick, kick and kick again. Was there a line break in the whole game ? Did any of the backs get a real running chance. 1 try from a yard out in 80 minutes. The scrums are a joke. When I first started watching rugby the scrums were a means to get the forwards out of the way to give the backs a run at their opponents with the ball in hand. Now scrums are just a means of getting penalties.

Awful conditions, torrential rain for the full 80 minutes, it was never going to be a spectacle.

On the other hand the France v SA quarter final was the best rugby match I've possibly ever seem from any code, it was simply fantastic from start to finish, SA winning 29-28 with the last kick of the game, tremendous.

I love winding up people here about the egg chasing.

"Did you see the rugby last night?"

"Nah mate, I only like games that require skill to play."

Watch them spit feathers for 15 minutes.

You mean that embarrassing royalist GB dirge. You can keep it. 'Pathetic anthem' goes well with a boring, passion less toff sport.

Go and sleep it off would be my advice 👍

Kicks are winning the game right now from St Helens born ‘Toff’ Owen Farrell and I bet the manager is well chuffed, ‘Cumbrian born and bred Toff’ Steve Borthwick.

Not Blackburn related but sport and drinking.

When Sunday opening hours weren’t what they are today I knew a family that lived near me. This was their routine every other Sunday -

Get up and go to the local for 11.00am. Get a taxi up to the old Athletic Grounds where Rochdale Hornets played at about 2-30pm. Straight into the “ Hornets Nest “ bar for a drink and to watch the first half from the bar. For some strange reason they came out at half time and actually watched the game on the terraces ! Back into the “ V. I.P. “ lounge after the game for more ale. When the “ V.I.P. “ lounge shut they got a taxi back up to their local until closing time !

A pal of mine was going out with one of the daughters of this family for a while. When I asked him why they’d spit up he said “ I had to Tyrone, they were turning me into an alcoholic ! “

I remember being told a story from a bloke I used to work with, who travelling from Blackburn over the boundary into Darwen (Golden Cup) for an extra 30 minutes drinking time, as they have a different rules back in the day.

Not sure if that was true or not, I never questioned him, he was a nutter. His cousin once carried a piano up Montague Street, on his back for charity, covered on Granada reports, bare knuckle fighter too.

Characters eh? You get many of them these days.

Mowbray was ambitious and really wanted well for Rovers.. he soon found how this club is run, the owners the ceo .. that ambition was drained from him, we saw his demeanour change a year after the promotion season.

JDT looks like he's already cottoned on this is a club going nowhere and is run by complete and utter fools..his demeanour has changed already in my eyes, gun ho tactics and doesn't seem as bubbly.

    Spot on.

I thought rangers where the far better team in the game against Celtic they just couldn’t score for toffee, abit like us

    Yes, good point.

Rangers should have been out of sight after 20 mins yesterday and ended up being well beaten, the manager wasn’t up to the job.

JDT with £12 million to spend would win the league..

I think JDT's management capabilities are being grossly inflated.

His record here , this year doesnt make good reading .

With the greatest of respect that is absolute rubbish.

If you go to Ewood week in week out and do nothing more than look at the result after 90mins, then I could see a slight point to this. But if you understand the bigger picture this will make no sense whatsoever.

We have lost 5 first team players by my calculations, quality players at this level and he’s been given a bag of magic beans and some bottle tops to try and replace them.

The man’s doing a very good job with the cards he’s been dealt.

Ibrox would be a good move for Tomasson.

I hadn’t really thought about that until I read it, but you’re spot on, great fit.

I read recently that Beale spent £12m in the summer, if that is true he’s wasted it, JDT with £12m would win that league by October.

  11. Rangers were appalling yesterday, I’d be surprised if Beale lasts the weekend after that shambles. When Aberdeen scored the 2nd goal half the stadium left on mass, the anger was palpable.

Aberdeen had 11 men behind the ball for large parts of the game, Rangers had nobody to break that down, sound familiar?

You can forgive many things as a football fan and we often do, but a lack of desire is a red line for many and some of those players yesterday looked like they couldn’t be bothered, 2nd to every ball and shown up by an average Aberdeen side, full of guts and determination.

There is no comparison between Chansiri and Venkys.

Chansiri cares, has provided financial support, is involved and goes to matches and talks to fans even if they don't like what they say.

Ours have provided previous financial support and that's about it whilst constantly employing charlatans at Board level to run the club down.

With Chansiri it's like going to a bar for years because you like the beer but with a bar owner who tells you to feck off nightly. Eventually you have to tell him to do one.

We have Wednesday fans in the family Asia, they tell a very different story. The Darren Moore saga was the final straw for many, utter shambles by the media hungry Chansiri.

Off topic, but Sheffield Wednesday chairman just released this fairly explosive statement about club ownership.

We may not be a million miles from something similar, but I hope not. 🙏🙏

Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has released an explosive statement this morning.

He's said: "We all love Sheffield Wednesday and I am a supporter as well as the owner who must love and care for the club more than anyone else because of the position I am in as chairman. I must take responsibility for everything at the club, including the financial support which is something I always do. But from now, I will not put additional money into the club.

"If you say you are the owner and I am the custodian, then show me how to be the good owner and help save your club. You want me to leave but you want me to spend money? If you want me to leave, then show me how to run the club and invest the money before I do that.

"You have no right to ask me to leave. I am the one who saved the club and spent the money for the club, I am the one who needs to pay around £2million on average every month. Some fans need to have more respect for owners of clubs and not be so selfish, thinking of their own benefit without doing anything good to the club.

"This is not acceptable and as a result I am not willing to inject more money while I am being treated unfairly by those fans."

The Owls have a must-win game against Sunderland this evening. 😬

    Venkys out!

    Chansiri out!

  14. Sadly I’ll miss this one as I’m off to Ibrox to watch Rangers.

Leicester are the best side in this league by a country mile, it should be a cake walk to the title. The misfiring Jamie Vardy is reportedly on over £100k a week, which really does put things into perspective and shows how tough it is for Championship clubs to compete with Premiership cash.

    Rovers 1 Leicester 1 (I hope)
