Can we not factor in the loss of Cairney and Gestede, 2 players that would walk into most sides in this division? How many sides with no money could hope to improve on last season having lost 2 of the best players in the division? *****Disclaimer - before the people that only read one page of the site ask, yes I'd sack Bowyer now if I had the power*****

I'd replace the manager now if at all possible, even though I know full well it won't make the slightest bit of difference, but the rest of your post is absolutely spot on. The side is probably mid table with Rhodes involved, without him we're mid/bottom and thats because of the owners getting rid of everyone that knows anything about football and replacing them with cheap, poor replacements, same on the playing side. This cycle will sadly continue until they leave the club.

Good start by the Aussies, doubt we'll see Morgan again today so 27-4

Groves just doesn't set the pulse racing like Froch did, can't even be bothered staying up for any of tonight's fights and I'm a massive boxing fan. Thought we'd never see anyone take Ricky Hattons mantle, but Froch stepped up, but I have no idea where the next peoples champion is coming from.

Good chase that by England, Aussies look tired, poor again in the field. 3rd highest run chase by an England team ever. Sets up Sunday nicely, sadly can't make it so TV it is.

Brilliant day today and good performance by England, although I felt the Aussies looked well off the pace in the field. You realise when you go to games like today exactly what you're missing as a Rovers fan. Brilliant atmosphere, players that care about the shirt and give %110, fans that actually give a toss, educated and objective, it was just an all round good day. We want our walrus back, Hales you're a hero!

Was a long job, took until day 4 to get last Saturdays beer out of the system! Good effort Lancs.

The reason I'm not bothering is because I'm not willing to enter into an Allardyce debate, pointless exercise. What I or anyone else thought of him was irrelevant, we influenced nothing, so you or anyone else who 'Told and better told' (what exactly?) me was simply wasting oxygen, I didn't sack him, I didn't stab him in the back and I didn't bring **** into the club either. Having read through some of the thread from back then I was pretty balanced as always Thats called balance Jim. I was happy he'd been sacked, but I couldn't understand why, nobody could.

Just been taken over I think, saw an article in the Telegraph a few weeks back. Glad it was good.

Take a trip to The Royal Oak Riley Green Mercer, top quality pub grub and great beer. Beers a bit pricey, but food great and very reasonable.

That looks great Paul, I'll have a listen later.

Off to Old Trafford next week to watch the ODI against the Aussies, I'd much rather have seen a test match but seems we're being priced out of those for the time being

Courteeners tickets for Apollo in December, always a great venue.

Bowyer doesn't lose 3 games on the bounce, that could keep us up.Appointing a less experienced, cheap alternative would be worse if he can't get to grip with things quickly and start winning games with this poor squad we've assembled. With less experience he's going to struggle.

Absolutely As for Rotherham, they gave a footballing lesson away last season, so I'm not sure they're worse than us either. Regardless, its going to be a long hard season.
