  1. What for? That added to the atmosphere for me, but Heaton Park will be a different prospect, badly dressed spotting nosed ketamine fueled kids, no thanks. But I agree it'll probably be a good do if you avoid the above.
  2. Decided to give Courteeners a miss at Heaton Park. Great gig last time out at King George's, but I'm not convinced they'll be able to carry if off at Heaton Park and it'll be full of 14-24yr olds thinking they can take on the world.
  3. Not really my thing but that's a quality tune.
  4. Cheers for that MCMC. Absolute sh1te.

  11. So their should be, top half of the premiership enjoying the best season in years Tom. Sad thing is we used to be this club....
  12. Did anyone see The Pogues live? in their pomp? I never did, but you imagine that a Pogues gig wasn’t for the faint hearted! Work colleague saw them a few years ago at the MEN, wasn’t worth the effort. We went to Feis festival at Finsbury park back in 2011 mainly to see Bob Dylan, and by coincidence Shane Macgowan was also on the bill in a tent. He had to be helped on stage by his Mrs, but he enthralled the 2000 watching for 30mins, a guy who makes Pete Doherty look like an armature in the hard living category, eventually he had to be dragged off stage by his wife, but not until he’d abused Nancy Griffith the American country star and rocked the tent with classic Pogues numbers. Any else seen the Pogues live? how was it?
  13. Very lucky goal really, great save just earlier by the Raya. Slow build up, sideways and back.
  14. She's Electric - Oasis
  15. Blue Britain - The Lurios.
  16. 4 ball = 4 persons with 4 sandwiches included!
  17. I still love a good curry Gordon, but Chinese food is probably my favourite. As for golf, I have a set thanks, you cheeky swine. My mate played Pleasington on Friday, 4 ball with a bacon sandwich £140, which was great value I felt.
  18. Kebabish is excellent, Khyber isn’t what it used to be sadly, or wasn’t last time I was there. A few on Preston New Road also gordon, not far from you? Ever nip in after a round of golf?
  19. Now that Resh's has closed down, and we fancied a change from The Naga, we went to The Anaz in Darwen on Friday and weren't disappointed. One thing I have to say is the place was packed to the rafters! Took us 20 minutes to get a table which is unusual in my experience for local Indian restaurants, but a good indicator surely. The food was very good, fresh and cooked to order, the menus fine but could do with an overhaul in my opinion. We’ve not been for years and its still the same dishes, but then again if you’ve got customers queuing out the door why change a winning formula. All in all a good experience at the oldest Indian restaurant in Darwen.
  20. The Killers - Runaways
  21. Babylon - David Gray
  22. Down in the tube station at midnight / The Jam
