  1. The reason Gray came off was because he clearly was not (match) fit.
  2. The rest of our group games are on British Eurosport.
  3. We are missing 6-7 of our regular starters and we simply cannot handle it. However, we had enough quality on the pitch today to play better than that. Never seen Hughes look so low and dejected after a match. West Ham did not look that good - they seems nervous and we should have tested them much more.
  4. If you look how many games you have coming up then going out of this competition cannot be too bad. Not just that but we have some really hard games in the next month or so. Tugay needs to be wrapped up and used wisely - he is key to us.
  5. Their revival will inevitably start against us. Everyone else has been beating them but the tide will turn on Sunday. West Ham 2 BRFC 0 Scorers: Tevez & Mascherano
  6. Whilst the Mirror have got some transfer rumours wrong before why would they say Savage is out for a month. We certainly would not comment on it until his injury settles down - probably will find out tomorrow at the pre-match press conference. If he is out for a month we are screwed.
  7. MAN OF THE MATCH: Andre Ooijer - The Dutch defender had a decidedly difficult introduction to English football. Now, with a greater understanding of the Premiership's demands, he excelled alongside Zurab Khizanishvili - another contender for the man of the match award - in the centre of the Blackburn defence. 'All the back four were excellent,' said Hughes, and it was hard to disagree. From http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...england&cc=5739
  8. On Sky, Phil Thompson said Ooijer was excellent along with Zurab. Click on link in this article to Hughes post match interview.......
  9. Liverpool's record at Anfield is excellent - a point is superb. We seem to be getting better every game.
  10. I am going Altus hotel! 10 mins away from the red light district. Come on!
  11. Hughes has a lot of credibility in my view. The chubby, arrogant kn*b that is Toshack publicly slated Hughes et al during his era. One of the first things Toshack did when he became manager of Wales was to scrap Mark Bowen's Prozone technology. This angered Hughes big time..... lets see who ends up with more respect.
  12. Booking my trip today - last minute is quite good for deals. How many miles/km are most folk staying from Amsterdam City Centre? I am staying in the Albus Grand Hotel....
  13. BBC Gossip column today - hopefully Daily Mail was just picking up on old news.... mind you, earlier in the week they reported the interest from Norwich in Bowen. Blackburn assistant manager Mark Bowen is set to be named Norwich's new boss. (Daily Mail) Has anyone read the Mail today - does the story look geunine at all??
  14. No need at all for those comments at this stage. He is one of our best defenders so you would not drop him. Savage or Brad should be captain. Silly Lucas, shows a lack of respect.
  15. I am a bit reluctant on booking my flights etc until I am fairly sure I have got a ticket - think our allocation for the game will be 2,500.
  16. Just one last thing before I finalise my booking plans.... is there any chance at all we will sell out our ticket allocation for Feyenoord?? By that will I defiantely be able to get tickets for the match!! How does it work for Euro ties?
  17. Cheers guys - are most folk staying in Amsterdam then on the Thrusday? I assume people are just going to drink in the boozers there after the match? Has Rotterdam got much to it. Looking online for deals now and probably going to stay both nights in the Dam....
  18. They don't run all night - was just on the phone to the tour operator and he said it would be risky going back to the Dam after the match as good chance of missing the train so he suggested to stay in Rotterdam for the night. £185 - Thursday morning flight to A'Dam, return Saturday night to London (including flight and train to R'Dam, 4* hotel) - seems a but steep?? Or maybe not...... online prices are £150.
  19. If you are delayed getting out of the ground then the last train back to the Dam could be missed....
  20. are most people looking at staying in Rotterdam after the game?
  21. Mark Bowen is set to stay as Blackburn's number two and turn down any approach to take over at his former club Norwich
