I’m basing it on only 1-2 appearances but Montgomery has looked good…?

Did think the same, particularly first half - we couldn’t cope with their physical presence. Do also think we are especially vulnerable against any teams with an aerial / direct threat. It was similar at times in the away match at Charlton - we’ve struggled against solid, well-drilled teams with competent managers and head coaches.

JE probably already feels hugely justified in his move - clearly, he wanted alignment with the owners and a show of ambition.

Getting tired of the pre / post match mention on “young players” and “in transition” - we don’t need to keep hearing about it every time we lose.

Better 2nd half - but it was game over from that 1st half performance. Players put a shift in again…just lacking quality - disappointed with Morishita and we love our long throws..!

Playing a half decent team and they are in form - it’s showing, huge gap.

Obvious gap in quality - we need to be better with the ball.

Leicester’s recent form does seem poor and we are coming into this on the back of a win - not sure why…..but don’t see us losing today.

I’m behind on here and can’t work out - a recent FF took place however there has been no confirmation on this? (if the meeting happened) The minutes are (apparently) being disputed again or this has not confirmed? Regardless, their whole attitude against the fan base is a joke and completely disrespectful. From banning the LT to being just generally out of their depth - you just can’t defend this lot (owners / RG / Suhail) for their arrogance and lack of accountability.

I read this somewhere else too, wouldn’t be surprised if this is what happened - it did seem a sudden exit.

I think it’s extremely unlikely that VI would leave or be sacked - he’s intrinsic to the “project,” and much of the discussion around recruitment over the summer focused on finding players suited to his pressing style. Assuming he was Gestede’s pick for the coaching role, replacing him would mean RG admitting he got it wrong — which seems highly unlikely. There’s also no chance he’d appoint anyone with more pedigree or someone who might stand up to him.

Has the club actually answered the question, will there be a replacement CEO? Or we can’t appoint one while still have SW on payroll? Looks like Gestede is running the football side for now.

No admission at all that we keep conceding goals and we have no chance of getting any points once we have one goal down. Whatever happened to any accountability for anything? Can see why him and Gestede have got each others back. Totally delusional comments on not losing any quality in the summer.

Deary me… When quizzed about pressure on his role, the Blackburn Rovers head coach gave a prickly response to BBC Radio Lancashire. "Listen, can we speak about the game tomorrow, or I'll stop now. I can see everything, I can read everything. “No, I don't admit the squad is not as good as last season. It's a stupid analysis," Ismael said when asked if the squad had regressed in terms of quality.

Gestede seemingly has put everything into bringing in the right type of player “profile” - and anyone desperate enough to join the “project” (while clearing out anyone with Championship experience). I can’t see him sacking VI; that would be too much for the arrogant twat.

Has to resign tonight surely and recommend we get someone in who knows what they are doing? Gestede to leave first / asap before we can look at appointing a new coach / manager.

Shocking - total lack of quality and confidence in the team. Strange subs from VI, didn’t understand the thinking at all.

Would like to see Morishita start tonight - we need some spark / more potential goal threat.

You need a solid coach or manager in the Championship, and you’ve got to know how to win ugly. The problem we’ve got is that Ismael’s track record doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Looks like Sheffield Wednesday are heading for administration - that’s one relegation spot gone if it happens. Could be a big help to us in relation to staying up.

Over the years, I’ve always held fond memories of most of our coaches and managers (obviously not Kean). At times, JDT had us playing some brilliant football - it went sour at the end, but I don’t hold it against him. I’ll never understand the petty comments when they move on.

Not sure what to think. During (very) brief moments, we play some “OK” football, which makes you believe we have more ability than we actually do - but overall, we don’t look that threatening. Attacking wise, we are solely reliant on Cantwell. There’s generally a lack of steel in the team, and we’re too soft when it comes to conceding goals. Combined with VI’s poor managerial track record (including with us), it’s hard not to feel that this will be a tough season.

Early days for him but Gudjohnsen hasn’t looked like the “complete striker”. Real lack of quality in the team and we keep conceding.
