  1. No real complaints. Played ok. Williams stood out and was good to see Chapman on the pitch. Kept it respectable. We’ve got to step it up next year.
  2. Have you subscribed to iFollow? The full replays are all available there throughout the season.
  3. It’s been a funny season. Spells of both play off and relegation form. It’s very hard to say where this team ‘should’ finish but I think it’s now clear that we overachieved in Jan as opposed to underachieved since. The team isn’t ready for promotion as it stands. To avoid relegation this season has to be seen as some form of achievement. Mowbray has said the right things about strengthening the squad in the summer and, personally, I think it’s worth trying to preserve stability if we can and give him a chance. Having said that, I think the good will from last season has been exhausted. Our form since January has been abysmal. If we don’t improve sharply in the coming weeks then a decision will need to be made. I want him to turn it around as he’s had such a positive impact at the club. I’m interested to see how the summer window will pan out given his comments so as it stands I’ll probably give him another 6 months or so.
  4. Pathetic. Gutless. Unacceptable. Had enough. I’ve wasted too much time, effort and money watching games like today. Get him out.
  5. The hatred of Kean was about more than simply poor results on the pitch. Whatever you make of Mowbray, let’s put the Kean comparison to one side.
  6. Ironically our relatively decent start to this season clearly overshadowed the fact that this squad is miles away from cutting it consistently in this division. Mowbray says the right things and I want to give him a chance because he does have credit in the bank and I don’t think anyone could argue that this squad SHOULD be much higher than it is now, regardless of the manager. I feel we should preserve stability if we can but my confidence is rapidly fading that this can be turned around. Id certainly give him the next two home games but if we don’t get a result out of those, I think there may be little option. You can’t lose nearly two months worth of fixtures and expect to survive. It’d be a real shame if it panned out that way and I have no confidence that Venky’s could recruit better, but something will have to change soon if this run continues.
  7. It’s around £60 for JK. I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all for hospitality and I was pleased to see how busy it was when I went a few weeks ago.
  8. Pathetic. Just pathetic. Giving points away each week against dross.
  9. Hopeless. Williams and Smallwood showcasing why they’re league 1 players. Dack showing why he’ll still be here come next season. Travis’ honeymoon period in midfield seems to have finished. Got caught out regularly. Overall just a waste of time and money. Bristol had nothing about them but we found a way to lose. Undoes the good work in January. We couldn’t defy gravity for more than a month. Says a lot about this division if Bristol reach the play offs based on that. So average.
  10. £17 a game for Championship football is a good deal. I don’t seriously think you can expect the club to charge less for a consecutive run of games. Find it slightly ironic that some of the posters who criticise the club’s lack of transfer activity are also having a pop at ticket prices. If you want dirt cheap tickets then you can’t expect us to be competitive in the market.
  11. I could pick this apart but what’s the point. The overreaction by some fans is ridiculous. It’s a shame. There’s still plenty to enjoy about this season.
  12. Also, impressed with Brentford. Sawyers and Benrahma were on another level.
  13. For those questioning Mowbray - look at the squad. Where do you think we should finish? To expect us to be in the play offs with the current side is massively optimistic. Bowyer had better players. He should have done more with what he had. I don’t think the same accusation can be made now.
  14. No need for apologies. Just think we need to keep perspective. If Tony had a squad capable of going up then I think it’d be easier to judge. Frankly, given the sides around us, I credit TM for having us midtable, not blaming him for being outside the play offs.
  15. First season back in the Champ. The very reason you think promotion is a possibility is because of Mowbray. Were you saying this last week? It’s a bad defeat. It happens in this division. We’re not ready to go up yet but I don’t think anyone expects us to.
  16. Heading back from the game. They are such a good footballing side. It’s a nothing club but you can’t knock their ability in possession. No shame in getting beaten but it’s galling when we give goals away as Raya did. Bennett got torn apart. Travis and Evans got picked apart too often. Overall, 4 wins on the bounce was going to come to an end eventually. Frustrated but not sure we would have won that game regardless of the line up. Its how we respond.
  17. We’ve been in the play off mix for about a week. We were 15th at the start of Jan. Very surprised to see us linked to some decent strikers but can understand the reluctance to spend £10m+ and blow apart the wage structure. Sometimes we have to cut our cloth. I know it’s cliche but Travis is almost like a new signing. I’d have liked more than just Chapman but if the deals weren’t right then I can accept keeping the powder dry.
  18. A £199 season ticket is less than £10 a game. How are we meant to compete financially against other teams with that? You understand that we do need to act as a business sometimes as well? If you want a decent product on the pitch then at some stage we need to pay for it. It’s probably £10 a game in the national league if you’d rather we play there..?
  19. Stop it. They’ve been in higher divisions from time to time but they’re hardly a more attractive proposition overall.
  20. Underwhelmed if true. Too injury prone. Want to be proved wrong but not optimistic.
  21. So anything less than promotion from the championship with a team who were in L1 last season, would be unacceptable? Did Bowyer have us in a better position...?
  22. Travis and Nuttall stepping up has made the difference. They’re like new signings.
  23. The 16k game was a Sat afternoon at 3pm. Tugay and MGP’s volleys sewing up the MOTD goal of the month competition.
  24. Comfortable. Not much else to say. Armstrong and Rothwell looked so dangerous all second half. Travis is the component we’ve been missing for such a long time. Ipswich are awful. Collins apart, they were pathetic.
  25. Thing is that there were plenty of games in the prem era under Hughes where we got 16-18k gates and that was with one of the most competitive teams we’ve had. At the moment we seem to be getting 12-13k home fans a week. I don’t think we’ve ever had a core support much over 20k. The damage done by Venky’s is obviously immeasurable but the reality is that we have always struggled to attract over 18k regular home fans since the early 2000s.
