HT 0-0 the game isn't the most thrilling one, but we're playing easily better than the 2nd placed team in the Premiership. We havan't created enough chances but I really think we're going to get something out of this. C'MON ROVERS

I cannot explain to myself why Everton are doing so well. When they sold Rooney I thought they were going down. Now, although surely their luck will run out eventually, they're sitting 2nd in the premiership above Arsenal and Manchester United. Why ? They don't have top-quality players, they really aren't that much better than us, yet look at where they are and where we are. Why ??? I don't know what score to predict....judging by the league table and current form Everton should have no problems with us, but somehow they still fail to fill me with fear. I think we can get a draw out of this, 1-1.

No way. If we sell Brad we are DEAD AND BURIED, without a doubt. and 3 million for one of the best (surely in the top 5, #1 a couple of years ago) goalkeepers in the premiership is laughable.

we've droped in the zone with this result so this can hardly bring a smile to my face. Sounds like we're pushing, but still not getting good enough results. I'm afraid there isn't much Hughes can do with the current team, but our recent form has not been disastrous so it's a start. Just a few more weeks till January, and we'll be fine.

disappointing result. We were much better than Spurs, who did almost nothing the whole game. They sneaked in a goal and we dominated the rest of the game, but didn't create enough chances. Our passing was poor towards the end, but I didn't feel we should have lost this game. The players look commited, they look like they really are trying hard, but there's just something missing to get us the results. Todd was great I thought, Emerton and Reid did well too. Tugay, Short and Johansson made some bad mistakes. Nice to see that Thommo and Bothroyd aren't afraid to shoot, but a little bit of thought before the shot wouldn't hurt.

I think we'll get something from the game, a draw sounds likely, but if a team would win this it'd be Rovers. 2-2.

Very entertaining game overall, Rovers played some great football in the 2nd half, for most of it we didn't let Brum pass the half-way line, we tried very hard and deserved the point at the end. We could have even won it, and I thought we could have had a penalty at the end, but then I remembered we had one last week, maybe in 2 years time we'll get another one. Dickov fought for every ball as usual, Reid was brilliant at times, Ferguson and Thommo were good too. I honestly think we have players good enough for the top half of the table, unorftunately all the positives do not compensate for the massive disappointment that is our defence. In the 1st half especially it was evident how bad it was. Bad marking, all 3 goals happened a few feet from Friedel, he had no chance with any of them. Even in the 2nd in the one or two Brum attacks we still looked like we couldn't deal with the situations. I heard Hughes was looking at bringing in a quality center back in January, which is great, because we desperately need it. It was great to see Rovers fight back, unfotunately we're still dead last after failing to beat teams like Man City, Norwich, Brum.

enough is enough. If we continue to play with this defence we will go down most certainly, this is nowhere near good enough for the premiership. Counting on some miracles in January by Hughes. and I don't see how we're going to get anything from this game in the 2nd half, but we have to.

It's sad to see him go, he's a true Rover and you have to respect him for his serveces to the club. However I think Hughes realizes that alot of things need changing to get us out of this mess, and he has to make the tough decisions. Hopefully it's for the best.

We need a clear and solid victory here, to get some points on the board and finally start looking forward up the table. There's no more room for failiures, not if we want to do anything decent this season. 0-2 Rovers.

This has been one of the worst football weeks I've had in my life. Please, I need some cheering up. It's time for Stead to a get a goal or two now, and I believe (well, hope more like it) we can get a win. 2-1 to Rovers.

Good points - he can be a class player, has alot of creativity Bad points - he's old and he recently played for Bolton I think it's an ok/pretty good signing by Hughes, considering there is no transfer fee. Nothing much to lose, and hopefully he'll improve us a bit 'till January.

How the hell did we manage to lose this one ?? We weren't perfect by any means, but not that bad either. Played some really good football at times, and in the 1st half had more than enough chances to be in the lead. Charlton's goal (from one of their only attacks) was bad marking, and probably the worst I've seen Brad concede. He did save a sure goal later on though. And again in the 2nd half, we had the clear penalty denied as usual,but had more than enough chances to equalize but it didn't happen. Flitcroft especially missed two great chances. Stead isn't playing bad, but he's not getting many chances to score. I thought Jansen, Dickov and Gray did well, Emerton tried hard too. There are positives from this game, but again, an away game and no points. It's been a terrible start to the season, and this week was really painful to take. We have to start getting the results now.

Hughes is gonna have to do something special to get the confidence back in the team. I'm not expecting something great, but hopefully we'll stabilize a bit and play respectable football. I have no idea who will start upfront besides Dickov, it could be anyone between Stead, Gally, Jansen and Bothroyd. Whoever it is, we need goals. Charlton aren't something special, so we can manage atleast a 1-1 draw. I'd love a win though.

Great result, however it was not a good game. In the first half we were pretty bad. Poor passing, mistakes, we created very little upfront against an even worse Portsmouth side. The 2nd half was a bit better, and after we scored the goal we finally started playing good football, and could have had another goal or two after that. Although we really got lucky (!) that the ref didn't give a penalty for Pompey at the end, he could have easily done that. Amoruso was great I thought. Ferguson was good too. Dickov and Stead as usual tried very hard, Bothroyd did well and I was beyond happy when Jansen got the goal. It was a very good strike, and hopefully this will give him confidence. It's fantastic that Hughes is starting out with the 3 points for us, however we must improve.

We must get the 3 points, and we will. 2-0 to Rovers.

I'm very happy that Hughes got the job - he was my first choice. Ofcourse there is a risk since he's never managed a club before, but I think he'll be a breath of fresh air for the players and will change the way things are going.

That's disappointing that Hughes doesn't want the job. He would have been my favourite for it.

I don't see Rovers live in every game either but from what I've seen Emerton's corners are absolutely horrible. Most of the times they don't even clear the first man, the other times they're innacurate and harmless. Is there noone else in the team that can take atleast a half-decent corner ?? Because this certainly is not Emerton's speciality.
