They did go very quite when we equalised until they went infront again. However early on and throughout that second half it was exceptional support. Loudest following at Ewood for some time I thought.

So for most of their game then like a said?

  2. Also another point to say we had 60% of possession yesterday and lose. In the 4 other games under Eustace when we had more than 50% of possession we have lost 2 and draw 2.

Bristol City away and Ipswich at home were the 2 we lost

Millwall at home and Cardiff away were the draws

Looking forward to the summer and next season, we need to decide what type of team we want to be and what tactics/formation we will used and focus making signings that fit into those.

As someone else said - we would have lost today if it had been played behind closed doors. 7000 fans in the Darwen End didn’t make our goalkeeper lose his head. He has form for it I’m afraid. This one is on the players.

exactly, The players played well at Leeds in front of 37k week before and won. Can't used that as a excuse either.

it didn't make one bit of different IMO and they weren't that loud for most of the game only when winning.

That defeat was entirely on Eustace.

    Rovers completely set up wrongly.

Bristol City could have been just a very bad day.

To have two such abject performances in three games means he is clueless.

No benefit of the doubt now.

    Just doubt.

how did he set up wrong Philip?

nothing to do with 2 mistakes from our number 1 after Pears very good performance at Leeds?

    Top 10?

What on earth brings you to that conclusion?

A manager with just 2 wins in 15 games, a really poor squad with horrifically weak mentality, selling our only goalscorer and no investment in the summer and you think we will get better???

We don't know whether they will be any investment in the summer or whether Szmodics will leave or not. I think we will spend some money in the summer .

If you disagree fine by me.

See now you have started to address the points, and give some counter arguments. That isn't unfair or dismissive and they both have some merit. Just saying "nothing then" is. I'd say the errors is evidence as good managers cut it out. And as for the comments, they annoy me more as I want a Rovers manager who tells it as it is, but I can see why it's cause concern regarding his capabilities.

Incidentally, we've  been doing stupid mistakes all season is hardly a resounding endorsement of Eustace but there we go.

very few managers and head coaches aren't going to throw the players under the buses when talking the media are they?

Under Eustace we had cut out the errors until the Bristol City awful and disappointed performance and result

Did anyone say that after not even winning but drawing v Southampton, a game in which he made a big error that nearly cost us that point? Strange argument.

    what big error?

he and Wharton keep Adam Armstrong quiet all game apart one early chance.

Hes as far removed from a leader as you could find, he sums this bunch up. He should have smashed it into touch but lost it for their first.

I wanted Hyam to be captain at the start of season and I would still keep him Captain for next season and beyond.

Pears should have smashed it away instead of messing around with it which lead to the first goal

    That's really unfair and dismissive.

You may look at a wider picture, you can debate and argue why said evidence doesn't matter so much or other stuff outweighs it, but you can't really say nothing when you ask for evidence and are given some. Especially when said evidence is clearly there- ie the errors are happening. What's the point in being on a MB if you completely disregard what others say?

Fwiw I'd say the individual errors is a big sign of a poor manager as they seem to be cut out or limited under better managers

No its not unfair or dismissive at all. We made all mistakes all season under JDT and Eustace. So not really evidence was it.

We don't know what is said at Brockhall and in the dressing room do we?

What do you think of him smirking and smiling the presser with no tosses given over the result

    non story for me.

Of course he cares about the result but he has remain upbeat and positive. That's his job.

I think he will be good manager here and given him the summer transfer window to bring in his own players, reshaped the squad into what he wants and pre season and I think we can get top 10 next season.

you can tell with his press conferences and the performance of his side, the kind of bloke who would be positive if we had to go to leicester needing to win by 7 goals and you mention mistakes, how many individual errors have you seen since he took charge???it must be in double figures

    so nothing then, ok thanks

i don`t see many overeactions to todays ****show, only annoyance that eustace is a yes man and has turned rovers into  a soft bunch of lads

who says Eustace is a yes man? what is that base on? you seeing what happens at brockhall every day? or just BS?

We lost today down to 3 mistakes simple as.

You must have forgotten the defeats at Birmingham, Bristol City, Swansea, the limp home games against Millwall and Plymouth, the hiding we took today....the total lack of any ambution beyond a 0-0 against most sides, amazing what 2 surprise away wins against the form book does to the brain eh??

sadly not but I don't overreact to a lost like most people are today again.

you must be a complete blue skies thinker if you keep harping on about eustace,2 wins in 15 and he`s installed a complete weak mentality into us

no I support Rovers through the good and bad wins. People as always on here Overreact to losses every single on here and then we win, you barely see them commenting on the game

Who selected him as our captain?

    His leadership skills are atrocious.

    His performances are abject.

    Needs dropping

did you say that after the Leeds win or Southampton good draw? no but OTT after a defeat and tbh what did Hyam do wrong today?

  12. People talking about getting rid of Eustace now? really?

eustace does`nt do 2nd halfs judging by today,**** knows what he said to them because the 2nd half was a crash crash, sheff wed wanted it far more then we did,all three goals were shocking though, lack of shape, discipline and defensive know how,not sure about that back three either,it did`nt work against plymouth who exposed time and time again

you must have forget the wins at Sunderland and Leeds quickly. Funny what a defeat does to the brain

  13. Mistakes made again cost us today game. Simple as. Pears for the first goal and third goal, then Szmodics for second goal.

We got back into the game with a great finish by Szmodics and for rest of the half I thought we were fine.

Until Szmodics mistake I didn't see Sheff Wed scoring but I didn't see us scoring.

I would like to see Buckley on early before Sheff Wednesday scored their second and I thought Eustace was too slow with his triple subs.

It is still in our hands and we must beat Coventry on Saturday now for me. I don't want it to go the last day of the season

Is Wharton's heart in it? Third game in a row he's come of injured. This is a bloke who was moaning about not playing the other day. That challenge for the second goal summed him up, soft.

Wharton is on crutches post game actually.

PNE gifting another 3 points to a team in the relegation struggle.

What a joke team they are.

Under Lowe they get close but don't see to take that extra step and get into the top 6.

I worked with some PNE fans and some think it time for Lowe to leave now and some think he should stay on and rebuild again for next season. under Lowe, at times they are boring to watch. That's the view of alot of PNE fans I work with

10 hours ago, Blue blood said:

Agreed. Not taking 3 points off them is huge for Brum. In context had Plymouth not done so recently they'd be in the mire. Given how poor Rotherham are and how off the pace its a huge missed opportunity.

Hudds v Brum is a 6 pointer and then some. And a draw would probably see both relegated.

Huddersfield seem to be down to me now. 4 nil lost at home to Swansea. You have to blame the owner and lack of direction from CEO/Sporting director for many things like lack of good signings, poor managers appointments like Moore and Breitenreiter.

If they do go down it will be interesting what happens to the squad and head coach there. I would say massive changes are needed there in terms of head coach choice and playing squad needed for league 1. If I was them I would go and appoint Reading head coach Rubén Sellés who I feel has done a good job at Reading given the massive off the field problems there
