The problem is Chaddy your ‘viewpoints’ constantly are things like “the manager is good”, “the recruitment has been good”, “the tactics are good”, “I think we will finish close to top 6.”

And yet here we are going into the last day hoping to stave off relegation.

The thing is if we played poorly or awful I will say that on here as I have done like Bristol City away or QPR at home(JDT last game which Sinclair Armstrong could have had 5 goals that game)

The recruitment has been mixed as I said yesterday and on previously posted before yesterday. Rovers need to

...And our Manager and Team still couldnt find a way to beat them!

We needed to put our chances away yesterday. We created enough. We have lacked a quality goalscoring 9 striker for the past 3 season. Rovers must make signings in this area in the summer.(I will do a recruitment plan in the transfer thread when we are safe)

Hutchinson on loan at Ipswich from Chelsea. Quality loan players are out there, yet GB gets Moran etc

Moran played well in the first half of the season, he has 9 assists so clearly he must performed well for some of the season

Hull's #9 looks brilliant. What a bit of pace can do.

Its what we lacked for months, pace wide and striker who knows where the goal is. This must be rectify in the summer by us

So another campaign ends at Ewood with no news at all about new season tickets.

You'd probably expect a club desperate for cash and keen to get as many tickets sold as possible to have them on sale by now, or at least have announced prices and be pushing them like mad whilst there's a crowd on Ewood and a captive audience.

But no, in typical Rovers fashion we do nothing, we let the season end and then we'll announce something in a month or so when people are off doing other things with their time and money.

They clearly want to what division we will be in next season, hence the reason why they aren't on sale yet. They have met with various fan groups for ideas and what thise groups think the price should be. I and others have posted what we think they should charge.

Get out of here chaddy it was negative again. At one point they has a corner with 10 men and we had no one on the half way line . We had 5 defenders against 10 men . Imagine if we had actually tried to win. Are you counting gallys header that went nearer the corner than the goal. ?

Negative? 30 shots at goal, pinned them back most of the second half.

Our wing backs played much higher up so it wasn't 5 at the back.

We did try to win the game. Don't come out with such tripe Abbey.

I will leave it now. I've given my opinions and point of view on the game. Nothing more to add

  5. 1 minute ago, RTM08 said:

Okay... which doesn't at all refute my point that behind the forwards they had less players than normal so we could have putting someone more attack minded and pinned them back.

Honestly I don't get what your point is, bot for the first time admittedly.

We did pin them back for most the second half and after them went down to 10 men.

Coventry didn't need to win and the season is over. Robins didn't need that extra man in midfield cos their season is done and dusted

@chaddyroversis just being a bit giddy cos we didn’t get beaten.

I have zero reasons to be giddy for, yet again struggled to accept different point of views on here. If you don't accept my point of view, just moved on down the page.

    It’s 2 wins in 15 - don’t fall for Chaddy’s spin.

I don't need spin owt yet again. I explained my thoughts why it 3 wins already so I won't bored the forum again with the reasons

They could keep two up front because we kept five at the back.

They played with 2 strikers up front and did after making subs. Robins wanted to nick something on the break.

    12 minutes ago, RTM08 said:

If a 10 man team has 2 up front, they by default have less behind than they normally would do. They couldn't do that if we pushed someone up the field.

Coventry set up 4-3-2 after the sending off.

Another coward useless set up , 10 men still 5 at back and another full on WUM of chad

30 shots, played on the front foot, miss good chances.

    Coward set up? 😔 😭

Our wing backs played much higher up and got into good areas.

Its not rocket science, against a 10 men with no interest in attacking, you can lose one of the 3 centre backs for a more attacking player.

so what player changes would you make? would you gone 4-2-3-1 formation wise or something else?

Can you lose a centre back when Coventry was still play 2 up front?

Tronstad is the only success out of a considerable number. Sigurdsson and Moran have been huge disappointments. Hill was ok and wasnt here long. The rest have in the main been totally absent or very poor.

we don't agree, so lets leave it there

    13 minutes ago, roversfan99 said:

Luton bought Carlton Morris, Cauley Woodrow and Alfie Doughty in the season they went up for decent fees. They also didnt sell their best player, their goalkeeper, loan out their captain and also shed many big earners. So not comparable.

but was their wage budget compare to ours?

Wharton was sold cos a club met our asking price and Travis was loan out for the reasons already mentioned by JDT and GB.

    13 minutes ago, roversfan99 said:

How do you know that Eustace firstly will be allowed to address it financially, and then he can adequately identify the required players? He really is still in the honeymoon period with you whereby he is trusted implicitly by you in all aspects despite a lack of evidence to justify it and will be until he eventually leaves the club and youll agree with the decision and soon forget about him and retrospectively criticise him like with Tomasson and Mowbray.

The DoF and the recruitment will have already have transfers lists for Eustace ad GB to pick from. That's how our model works. JDT had a say in transfer and no player was signed without him saying Yes. who knows on the money point.

I have never said I trusted Eustace implicitly and I said last week against Sheffield Wednesday he got it badly wrong tactically and his subs were too slow and too late

2 wins in 17 now, hasnt won a single game at home and less than a point per game.

He persisted with 5 defenders despite the extra man and against a team that had no interest in attacking.

Good on him for getting sent off by getting involved in some nonsense he could have stayed out of.

He came in with us 7 points clear and his pitiful inability to win football matches has taken it to the final day. Im amazed you seemingly remain convinced that he is the man to take us forward. Well, i would be if it was anyone else. You must think his results of getting less than a point a game is adequate to convince you that he is competent enough. And im sure you will be until he goes.

I see it has 3 wins in 16 championship with 5 losses and 8 draws. He has seen 5 clean sheets in those games.

He would like to see what he wants to do with the terms of squad he wants going forward, who he wants to keep and sell and what type of players he wants in the summer. He hasn't had a transfer window.

So what was your plan to get the 3 points today in the second half? what subs would you made? would you change formation? what your answer?

  11. Tomasson has to yes to any player joining Rovers @roversfan99. We didn't had competitive budget? really? How did that budget we compare to the luton's promotion season budget?

Tronstad has been good signing, Sigurdsson and Moran shown spell of goodish, Hill good loan signing, Ayari and Chrisene should have played more recently, Ennis very disappointed and Telalovic we barely seen, Wahlstedt poor so far

The biggest problem is the lack of quality goalscoring striker signing in January and no pace wide signing. Sonething that Eustace will address in the summer transfer window

  12. 20 minutes ago, roversfan99 said:

Eustace is not the man to take us forward. To get sent off in such a crucial game and then be suspended for the final day is pathetic. As is a refusal to move from 5 at the back against 10 men. He has not won a single home game since he joined. Sadly he will no doubt see out his contract at this dysfunctional club.

sent off for trying to get the ball back into whilst Palmer obstructed him and kept the ball. Good on Eustace for that. no surprised you slammed him for that.

why isn't Eustace the man to take us forward?

why would he go to back 4 and leave their 2 strikers vs our 2 centre defenders?

we created more than another chances to win the game

    4 minutes ago, roversfan99 said:

I think staying with 5 defenders against 10 men who are tired after a long week and not playing for anything when a win has us safe tells you everything you need to know. And thats before you consider that he pathetically got sent off.

we had 30 shots, we played attacking today, we didn't settled for a point.

so please can you tell what you would have done different from Eustace to get us to win the game and what formation would you change to or tactical then?

  13. Much better performance from us and we had more than enough chances to win the game whether its was Gallagher, Dolan or Szmodics with them. Ayari impressed off the bench and went close twice.

We lack a quality goalscoring striker and we have since Armstrong left.

McFadzean and Hyam good at the back.

Wish we would have brought Chrisene much sooner.

Its in our hands next Saturday and Rovers never do it the easier way like winning the PL in 94./95 season

I know he's done a good job. Point was what happens next. JDT got zero backing and undermined in 3 transfer windows, forced to sell his best players and offered nothing by way of reinvestment.

I bet QPR's board don't do that to their manager this summer.

Our January transfers were nothing short of laughable. Just because we signed 6 does not mean they are remotely good enough or that the manager has been backed.

JDT got backed in his first window with cash and loan signings. The January window was disappointed as we failed with the possible signings of Undav and O'Brien who if we signed both I think we would have deffo make the playoffs. Last Summer he was original backed with 3 signings which we done quickly and then we paused for weeks until finally signing some more players. January we got 6 signings and JDT authorised every player who signed here. I think I would have like to see more Ayari and Chrisene play more tbh

Its will be interesting to see how much QPR's board back their guy

    1 hour ago, Hasta said:

Exactly. So they signed 4 players who improved the team.

We brought in 6 players. One who has been useful but 5 who havent played despite us being in relegation form since Janaury. That clearly wasnt trying to "back the manager and improve."

Travis / Wharton out and Fleck in is one of the biggest bits of WTF transfer activity we will ever see.

I don't know how much the 4 players have played but their head coach/manager deffo has.

We all know why Travis was let go and Wharton was sold cos Palace reach our asking price

JDT authorised all 6 signings and one of my gripe was if he was so much in talks with Swedish FA about leaving us for them then we did we allow him to sign players and he left.

  15. 9 minutes ago, JHRover said:

Unlike JDT here they'll actually try to back him and improve under him.

Only make 4 January signings, including 1 free transfer, 2 loan signings and buying a striker who scored 1 goal..

He massive improved the current squad and their best players playing well

We signed 6 players. McFadzean has played well, 2 centre backs signings who haven't played. Chrisene and Ayari who looks decent enough and Fleck who got injured on debut

Haven’t heard anything, just had discussions. This would be very disappointing.

    Thanks Duncan for the reply.

There is only 1 way he will revenue targets and that is lowering the prices and make them more attractive to people/families to sell more and hitting his target otherwise it will low crowd and not hit his revenue target

  17. Surprised that the internal investigation is taking so long to get done. I would have thought it would have been done by now.

You can't have clarity until you know what league we are in. I would have thought that discussions have happened in terms of wage and transfer budget but no deffo answer to what the final budget will be. Rovers recruitment department/GB will have loads of different lists with different prices for players we will look to sign plus We need Eustace input aswell in terms where he wants to strengthen and players he wants out. I suspect a busy summer with in's and out's. Bringing through young players is one of key part of footballing strategy and that's why we invest so much into the academy to produce quality first team players like Buckley, Phillips, Wharton, Leonard

  18. Just now, rigger said:

Haven't we already got cover at center-half ? I would prefer we get a first choice keeper.

    Wharton is out long term

So we got Hyam, Carter and O'Riordan for next season, so we deffo need one new one and I think McFadzean will get another 12 months deal to give us 5 centre beck.

Yes we need a first choice keeper, aswell a top striker who can score 15 goals plus pacey winger, back up right back and possible Sammie Szmodics replacement.

Scott replacement - Tom Isherwood.  Just been relegated from bundesliga but did well in the promotion campaign last year.  6ft 5 or 6ft 6, left footed, has experience in the English leagues.  Out of contract in the summer

interesting suggestion. He can play left back can't he aswelll?
