Why do you defend this far tosser?

yet again, nowhere have I defend him. I am the one of us who has commented on season tickets and match day prices need to be much lower, better commercial operation need from us, Sponsorship around Ewood Park none existent, better shirt sponsor, catering at Ewood Park.

    so you are wrong again

Will Jacks just smashed a 100 for RCB, with Kohli looking on at the other end in amazement.

The 5th fastest 100 in IPL T-20 history, 10 sixes, a great watch.

must be in the t20 world cup squad for us

Appreciate you want to be optimistic, I really do.

But, given how much of our recent big sales has gone back into replacing them, I probably wouldn’t hold your breath.

apart from Armstrong sale 3 seasons ago we haven't had a big sale and we all knew that had to go towards FFP rules.

Wharton deal was only confirmed last day of the window, so lets if we reinvested some of it the way GB would like to.

I’ve never had a season ticket. It never made sense as I couldn’t get to enough games to make it viable. If it wasn’t for my grandson and my desire to pass on the Rovers baton I’d be boycotting myself. I only go infrequently these days and even then I only go to keep him going.

    fair enough.

Thats what a functional, well run club would do. It will not happen here.

Its my opinion of what I would like us to do come the summer and beyond from GB post transfer interview. Lets see what happens this summer.

Yes I know. So why can't we?

I want the same and to implement the plan GB mentioned in his interview with Radio Lancs and LT in March.

my plan based on GB interview would be

We brought in money from Wharton sale and Raya sell on clause so lets say it is £25m for this scenario.

You can spend £7m for the summer transfer budget, add £2m to the wage budget for next season and the season after. So that's £11m then spend 3m on improve the club academy facilities and first team facilities. then save £3m for next January window. So that's, £17m spent whilst reducing the season debt by £8m.

If we sold Szmodics for £15m then I would spend £7m of that aswell plus add £3m to the January budget

    Question for you chaddy..

You say you can't play 2 cbs against 2 strikers, pray tell how many cbs played when we won the league against 2 strikers every week.

I was talking about the game situation and why we didn't want leave us 2 on 2 at the back whilst pushing forward for the win

    2 hours ago, ABBEY said:

Why should we play to what they was playing , we was at home and WE should be dictating things .

Noone on the halfway line against 10 get someone on the line and take 2 of their 10 out the box .

We did dictated the game Abbey. 30 shots at goal, created some good chances like Szmodics chance first half, Gallagher header second half, Gallagher last minute effort second half, Dolan hitting the post,

Stop defending a winless home record under useless.

    Won the Stoke game

    2 hours ago, ABBEY said:

Go on why with 10 men would you bring a defender on in a game we needed to win to be safe . Why not a striker ?

Chrisene is attacking wing back who has pace and can put a good ball into the box. It wasn't a defensive change but attacking change.

I said I would have took Dolan off with 10 mins to go for Telalovic and play 2 up front with Szmodics just off in 3-4-1-2 formation.

I was reading a lot of Coventry fans comments after the game yesterday. Disappointed that they have fallen short in the playoff chase and technically regressed in League position having gone to penalties in the final last season, but generally a lot of confidence and belief in a process there and that with more investment in the summer they'll be in the promotion race next season.

No talk on there about selling star players before this season has even finished..

Something to believe in and hope for the future.

    Us?

How much we'll get for Szmodics and which youngsters on loan. How exciting.

People need something to believe in. Most of what goes on at Rovers is unbelievable.

Coventry sold their best 2 players last summer in Hamer and Gyrokers then reinvested the money into Simms, Wright, etc

I agree. Nothing will change until there is a total boycott. That is obvious.

and what is going to achieve Tyrone? are you Season ticket holder? if not when was the last time you attend a game?

    1 hour ago, tomphil said:

No, we should do a season ticket deal like Bolton or Preston.

    The evidence is outstanding.

I have already posted my opinion on what ST should cost from next season, Rovers should charged £199 for Riverside, £249 for BBE and lower JW, £280 for JW upper wing and £330 for JW upper centre. What do you think of those prices?

  9. 4 minutes ago, rigger said:

I totally agree that season ticket prices at the Rovers are  way too high, but enough people are buying them for our administrators to reach their targets. Who are the crazy ones ?

Rovers could reach their targets by lowering ST and match day prices whilst operation fill Ewood Park actually.

The fans aren't to blame for supporting their club through the good and bad times.

  10. 32 minutes ago, Hasta said:

Yet It looks like almost 16,000 home fans yesterday against Coventry despite the run we are on. At £15 a ticket. As we’ve often said, do it for decent Saturday games and not unappealing Wednesday night games and the evidence is there cheaper tickets work.

exactly why weekend tickets should be no more than £20 per ticket and less. Midweek games £10. Fill Ewood Park

You ask @roversfan99 this like it’s a difficult question when it is obvious.

Well why doesn't give us his plan when asked more than once for it last night if it's so obvious?

    .

They had two up front only because we kept 5 at the back. If we had put an extra midfielder or attacker on they would have had to have withdrawn one of their attackers because they would have been overrun in midfield. Ayari, Moran or Markanday should have been on within 5 minutes of the red card.

Or they kept 2 up front cos They had nothing on the game.

Ayari came on straight after the red card.

I would brought Chrisene on early.

To be fair to you, Chadster there’s certainly no arguments from your side these days that the commercial side of this club is anything but ridiculously poor.

    Totally agree.

Lack of sponsorship around the club, cost of ST and match day tickets. Better Shirt sponsorship over the years, etc.

Can’t believe that Joe fella who used to post on here got a job in football and you still haven’t!

You mean Joe Harvey who works for Barrow?

Unless I was working for Rovers I wouldn't want to work in football. Also I want to watch Rovers every game so hard to full time employed Scout. Plus all the retraining I.would have whilst working and paying my bills. So thanks but no thanks. Waggott's job? Yes no problem

  14. 12 minutes ago, Mattyblue said:

Bolton ‘don’t know what league they are going to be in’ either … but they’ve still been on sale since February and they’ve sold 16,000 already.

Oh I agree Matty, Rovers should have been more pro active with getting them on sale early and at the right pricing structure.

Bolton management clearly understand their fanbase whilst we lack on CEO who understand the fanbase, what is local economy is like and people struggling financially

Every week, desperate for idiots willing to pay for this rubbish, another article linking Szmodics to every club under the sun whilst leaving open the possibility that he stays to cover all bases.

If Alan Nixon bothers you so much with his article why search and read for articles. Just don't read them. you remind me of people watching what on TV instead of just turn the channel over

Clubs will be interested in him but clubs have to reach our asking price. Szmodics is in peak and has scored 31 goals this season. so asking price of £15 to 20m isn't wrong is it?

  16. 11 hours ago, chaddyrovers said:

so what player changes would you make? would you gone 4-2-3-1 formation wise or something else?

Can you lose a centre back when Coventry was still play 2 up front?

any chance of an answer to this question which you seem to want to avoid answering for some reason @roversfan99

I would have put Telalovic on with 10/15 mins to go and got the ball into the box more with front 2 and Szmodics just behind in 3-4-1-2 formation.
