Barnsley appoint Jose Morais as manager.
No surprise there.
No experience in the championship. Enjoy it! Seem like they wanted a coach not experience manager

The #Chairboys have rejected an approach from a Championship club to speak to Gareth Ainsworth in relation to their managerial vacancy: https://t.co/KUXd9tnQue
Must be Barnsley job

I'm not saying you're wrong chaddy but how you work the formation out as playing 3 at the back from that 25 second clip, I'm f****d if I know.
Look at clips. Clear to see.

2 nil Rovers. Butterworth and Nuttall with goals.
From.Rovers twitter account
78: First change for #Rovers as Simmonds comes on for fellow trialist Johnson. The winger has looked pretty impressive tonight. [2-0]
Does anybody know anything about Simmonds or Johnson?
Anybody gone tonight? Any chance of a report of the game?
-
Two trialists for #Rovers this evening. Chiori Johnson (Arsenal) starts, while Okera Simmonds (Liverpool) is on the bench. Johnson (20) will play wing-back, Simmonds an attacker.

Just WOW!
Cannot stop watching it!
Very good. And watching the under 23's and under 18's is very enjoyable.
Also both sides play 3 at the back in 3-4-2-1/3-4-1-2 formation. Very noticeable in the highlights.

Leeds want Paul Heckingbottom to be their new manager and are hoping to reach a deal later today according to their local paper. Barnsley on a shocking run so a bit of a surprise.
Very good choice imo.
24 minutes ago, JHRover said:Apparently he might have a release clause in his new deal which enables him to leave for a smaller amount of compensation. Not sure what all the fuss is about with Heckingbottom as he was heavily linked to Sunderland and Forest earlier this season despite Barnsley struggling. I suppose he's done well to keep them up considering their relatively limited resources but he's hardly set the world alight. Leeds fans don't seem particularly happy at the prospect but then again they probably expect a world class manager turning up.
Done a great job keeping them up last season and plays good football.
Plus he acheived promotion with Barnsley when he was caretaker after Johnson walk out for Bristol City job.
Leeds fans need to stop thinking their big club cos they arent. Still obsess with Don Revie years there. Move on ffs. But Leeds need to give a manager proper time to get them promotion instead of a quick fix approach
I believe he turn the Sunderland job down after Grayson left.

Leeds United have sacked Thomas Christiansen.
"Leeds United can confirm that head coach Thomas Christiansen has left the club. Chairman Andrea Radrizzani and the Board of Directors would like to thank Thomas and his staff for their hard work over the past eight months." -
England win the one day series 4-1
Curran's bowling today won us the game today
Morgan's batting form is a problem but captaincy wise is excellent

VAR doesnt work in football.

I don't, the video shows he's guilty.
The punishment will be a fine and community service though, and everyone will just get on with things again.
It makes no sense to me he was left out of the Ashes, but now he's been charged its ok to play? The ECB have not exactly covered themselves in glory with those decisions- sounds like they need an actual policy in future.
We have to agree to disagree. Stokes stood up for 2 men being attacked. Im pleased he didnt just stand there and do nothing.
I think England were influence by us getting beat in Oz. Also Bayliss, Root and Strauss probably wanted him back him.
Also Stokes might have took the ECB to court over a restriction of trade as he is innocent until found guilty.
I will be surprise he is found guilty aswell.
-
Stokes should have been playing in the Ashes.
I reckon he will be found not guilty when it comes to court.

Dack is staying

Big news!
Ben Stokes has been cleared to play for England again by the ECB and is expected to join the squad in New Zealand for February's T20 matches. https://t.co/LL0jJRZKqC
Not before time IMO

We needed more of that sort of fast bowling instead of Broad and Woakes. Wood was injured at the wrong time, but surely we have more proper fast, nasty bowlers playing.
Do we?
The problem Is County cricket and when 4 day games are played.
I named about 4 or 5 young county bowlers who bowled fast according David Lloyd

Whilst I hope that Stokes will be available I doubt it. Sadly I can't see how he can avoid being charged along with at least the bottle carrier.
Its been 5 months since the incident and why it has taken so long for the CPS and Police to decide. Its pathetic

Wont be a probe at all.
it was conversation with the Wolves owners who will say that we asked Mendes for help and suggestions nothing more.
they just haven't signed Mendes players tho so PL, FA and FL wont do owt.
Will be interesting to see how they do in Premier League tbh.
Its a similar situation to Rovers but they all know how to be above the line in these deals.
