  1. He had a more clear cut chance in the same game from about 4 yards out and ballsed it up.
  2. Years of apathetic performances and general BS from those in charge has led to disenchantment from lots of fans (me included). Tell me, without quality signings to get me (and others) in through the door, Why should I renew a ST? As opposed to cricket, concerts, rugby, travel that I could be doing instead... Without quality signings, how do you attract a further 1800 new ST holders? Club put the money where their mouth is and I'll do the same. It's like buying an off plan apartment in Spain, the pictures look great but they're never built and you've forked out for nothing.
  3. The soundbites coming from the club contradict themselves daily. TM was adamant at his meeting with the fans that we were ready to plunder the European market...but now we aren't. Experienced champ players to me are in the 27-32 age range not 35 or over...but no links to any of them. It's pretty clear that we are unable to compete for any decent players financially. Something we don't seem to have learnt from last year. We don't have any pulling power any more so higher wages is the only way to get some quality in.
  4. Perhaps it's just me then. Season ticket pretty much since 81 - bar ****s last season but I'm getting more ambivalent by the year. Want to see some intention this season or I'll just pick and choose the odd game when I can be arsed.
  5. I would argue that with no early bird and on the back of some pretty insipid home performances last season, many will want to see the signings Mowbray insisted were coming -before committing.
  6. And we won't sell many more until we see some signings materialising.
  7. He wasn't that tough and solid when Dack put him on his arse!
  8. Jeez, looking like we aren't even shopping in Primark this year.
  9. It's pretty simple. The only model that will work for us (if we have any ambition of reaching the Prem) is bringing good players in for 2 years and selling a couple in year 3 if promotion not achieved - to satisfy FFP. Then start again. Hitting the Prem basically nullifies the debt. Then follow the Burnley model of small investment and a couple of relegation battles till we are back on an even keel.
  10. To be fair, I think that £5mil for Gallagher is fair. The issue all along has been his wage/wage demands. Not sure how we can suddenly afford those.
  11. LT mentioning Lyndsay from Barnsley and some kid from Everton under 23s - who worked with TM previously. Our scouting has come on leaps and bounds ? Seriously though, the 'budget' and recent comments don't seem those of a team about to challenge for promotion. *Unless he sells Dack.
  12. That model won't get us promoted though. We'll be like Peterborough.
  13. Thought the same listening to that. Doesn't sound like we are in the market for proven champ players at all - not even free ones !
  14. Sane decision would be to bring in an experienced number 1 and let Raya have 12 months on loan in league one.
  15. Agreed. If we bring in another keeper after the odd decision to keep Leutweiler, it has to be a Pantilimon size keeper.
  16. Pretty sure Vaulks also has a long throw on him a'la Pedersen.
  17. I thought were supposed to be announcing the retained list yesterday?
  18. Give over. We've combed the country for better but realised Conway's a cut above. Close shave really.
