Will take any type of result tonight. Hope I'm pleasantly surprised by this line up. -
Well. We are down to bare bones already. Incomings needed rapidly.
-
I think that is what Chapman is - a punt. We know the lad can play. We know he can be a game changer. We know he fits in with the 'good set of lads ethos' We know he could break down for 6 months. We know that a good season would increase his value no end. We know he could be forced from the game due to injury. At the moment, given his contract length remaining, he is likely to be the cheapest he will potentially be. I think back to all Josh King's injury problems, yet on his day, unplayable and worth a few quid. Worth a punt I would say.
-
He's out with a shoulder injury. Nowt to do with his Hammy.
-
Looks like Bolasie may go to Villa. That may put pay to Chapman's availability.
-
Walk away and they are left with a kid they have tried to sell behind his back!
-
Probably a back up option rather than blow too much on one lad. Look again in January. Who knows!
-
There would be worse loan signings to be fair. Experienced at this level. Obviously not one to buy permanent but a low risk loan IMO.
-
At £8 mil the lad is going to have to knocking on the England senior door to exponentialy increase in value and score double figures this season to maintain/slightly increase his value. There are lots of young Englandprospects about - Solanke, Abraham, Lookman etc. Big ask without him having any stand out features to his game.
-
I can't imagine that any other clubs are interested in Brereton. Prem teams are out the equation. There is probably only Villa, Boro and the 3 relegated clubs with the money to buy him at prices mentioned. *Derby have about 9 strikers so not including them. All of those have the wage structure for more proven options. We are bidding against ourselves. Should now be at the 'final offer, 24 houes take or leave it stage'.
-
We shouldn't be bothered if they eek more money out of us. It's not our money anyway ?
-
Your future Mrs is game ?
-
I think those 3 on a permanent would make it a very good window.
-
And still get £4.5 million change!
-
I'm scratching my head over Chapman. If we are talking £8 mil for this 19 year old then surely anything under £1.5 mil for Chapman is a bargain. Got pace, can play either wing and pretty certain he could play the 10 role. Seems the perfect player to recruit for what we are trying to do. Injury risks potentially but just seems a strange player to completely ignore.

Only just listened to Mowbray's interview. Sounds like we may be moving away from Brer Rabbit and onto pastures new. Also sounds like clubs are asking for more now our budget is out there. Edit:. encouraging hearing TM talking about replacing pace with pace. A commodity we've been short of for years.
-
Yes, was quite surprised to see one or two journos tipping them for relegation. Seems they are on a downward trajectory. Millwall have been the biggest yard stick so far. As it stands, we should give most teams a game with our first 11. Wigan also seem to have made a decent start. Nothing to fear.
-
Well pleased with that. Thought we may struggle today but by all accounts we played really well. Good thing TM knows what he's doing. Pace is a wonderful thing to have in a side. Fancy us for another 3pts on Weds now. Back from holiday Wednesday lunch. Can't wait ?
-
Excellent. Hope Dack is ok now.

Yikes. Thought TM preferred 2.5 attackers. Not even got that. Be very surprised if we get anything with that line up.
-
Couple of wins would do our recruitment chances the world of good you would think. If we are bottom 3 after a couple more games, can't see many wanting to come permanently.
