  1. If we'd signed him on dead line day and he broke his leg the next day in training, he would still be our player. Agreed price is exactly the same. As soon as the 'loan' element starts he is effectively our player and we are responsible. We just pay more in 6 months. Edit: Oops should have scrolled down. Answered by Jacko
  2. Taken from Rovers Twitter: More from the manager: “We’re still working hard on bringing players in and I’m hopeful. We’ll try to get the best deals for the players who can help our club. We’ll try to get the work done and be stronger by the time the window shuts.” #Rovers The 3 moving, can't be moving very fast!
  3. Transfer/Loan thread summary to date: 'Piss and wind' 2 weeks to go.
  4. Not really - he'll still be on loan!
  5. I read about him in Revelations.
  6. Makes a big difference when the player you want actively wants to sign for you.
  7. I find it a little unusual as well Rev. Keep reading that he was linked to Liverpool and Man U 'not so long ago'. If he is the real deal, it is very surprising he hasn't been hoovered up by one of the 'big' clubs - never mind not being good enough to command a starting place at Forest!
  8. More likely that they will want a high sell on clause!
  9. Sharpe indicating won't be a loan to buy as we won't want to check committ to the fee Forest want. Don't see the point in that case. We need to develop a Graham replacement - not do Forest a favour
  10. Yup. Good to see the team attacking but you can't let a champ team have 18 shots.
  11. Great result but if we are being picky..and I'm sure TM will, we've let Carlisle have 18 shots - more than we've had. Midfield balance isn't right on that.
  12. Chapman shoulder injury or summat.
  13. Granted the Wickham rumour has been dismissed but for the right money, he would suit our approach play. One of those 'gambles' that either pays off massively (like when we signed the injury plagued Santa Cruz on the cheap) or doesn't (like the injury plagued Santa Cruz that City bought from us for 5 times as much ?).
  14. Don't get all the Gallagher negativity. He's better than anyone else we have up front.
  15. Wickham link sounds right to me. Gamble on a player that is a perfect for the loan man role and a good age but/50 whether he'd break down. Depends whether Palace think he has a future with then or if they are willing to write him off. 2 years left on his contract. Bit like Santa Cruz.
  16. Problem with loan window us you pretty much have to take what you get offered. One reason why the perm window was such a balls up.
  17. I so nearly did but thought that might just be me being petty!
  18. Back to square one in terms of attracting new support. We missed lots of opportunities over the last few months. We can debate the success of this window once we have all our loan to permanent deals done.
  19. This. Positive season last year and we've failed to build on it. Firstly the late release of STs, then the price increase of STs, followed by talk of exciting players and good budgets, followed by failure to deliver them. Unable to win either of our first 2 games on the pitch. All of this means we are pretty much back at square one in terms of attracting supporters back. Going to need a lucky cup run or something to get people back though the door now. With regards to Saturday's attendance, a lot of people are on holiday and Millwall may put a few off. Thought 13k plus wasn't bad tbh.
  20. Still not sure what this Forest lad brings. Pace? Physical presence? Aerial abiliy?
  21. He didn't. He said they aren't in a rush to sell. In other words. It will take more than £5 million!
  22. No point. Only play one up front. Don't know enough about the Forest lad but he's just touching touching 6ft so not a big unit.
  23. Very balanced post Biz. No problem with pragmatism ..but you have to move forward. I genuinely felt, with 3 or 4 good(1st team improving) additions and the team spirit we have, we could have been dark horses for a play off place. Certainly a top half finish that may convince our better players to stick with it. One team always has a promotion bounce. This could be our best opportunity in a while. I'm pretty sure TM thought along these lines too. Failure to add any to date is really poor. Hopefully we pull a few rabbits out of proverbial hats and have a great season. .
