  1. If the club wants to sell and at a good price for the club. Then getting to keep the player for an additional period seem s like good business to me - yes West Ham offer £15 mil for Dack. Club accept. Too late to sign a replacement. Dack offered back to the club on loan basis for a season. Good business?
  2. Biz mentioned Lenihan. Following your logic above all loan signings would be poor business then? That's us screwed in foreseeable future? .
  3. To be fair I'd have taken Nolan for our CM and Edwards!
  4. Yes and we are addressing neither of them!
  5. Because 2 are shit and the other one may or may not play that role. Midfield has: Evans Whittingham Smallwood Davenport Bennett Travis Tomlinson Even Dack and Lennihan can play in there. And yes.. some of them are crap as well. ? We need players everywhere and are signing none.
  6. In which case, Wigan would be without him for a while anyway. Still a good deal for them.
  7. Eh? I'm on about addressing other positions eg striker, winger before adding another midfielder.
  8. According to news reports it is? Please enlighten me.
  9. So you address the positions where you don't have a lot of bodies first.
  10. Wtf has it got to do with Lenihan? Hypothetically if a club paid the market value for a player and the club agreed to sell..and said player was still yours for another 12 months...would you not see that as good business?
  11. Think Wigan have played a blinder getting £4mil for Burn and not losing him for 12 months. Lennihan is a much better player and would pull a bigger fee.
  12. First 11 is ok (excluding Samuels as a winger) after that our bench is either unproven or past it. Only Armstrong has added something and he was here last year. We are relying on Samuels or Nuttall to hit double figures this year. As it stands - Very poor window -especially given the alleged budget. If I was Millwall manager, I'd be telling my CB to clatter Graham early doors.
  13. Can't imagine Palmer and Chelski being too happy with that. Shame, we'll have all this creativity and nobody to put the ball in the net for the last quarter of each game!
  14. He's played in the middle of a midfield 3. Had one good season at champ level. Creative player. But we have Dack and Palmer that will do that. Don't see where he fits in. Don't tell me this was the 'A' list guy. Clearly not signing anyone permanemt in a priority position based on Sharpe's most recent comments.
  15. Can't say I'd be impressed with this Freeman at £4 mil. Sounds like a D list player that we are over paying for. Can he tackle? Pace? Or just more competition for Dack's role?
  16. I thought that was just because they were a bit embarrrased!
  17. Biggest pointer today could be rovers Twitter. They are never slow at building excitement over a signing....yet not even a mention of deadline day.
  18. Too many lists. Too indecisive. Like going shopping with your wife. Goes to every shop, tries on all manner of garb and buys nowt because she thinks she looks fat in all of them. TM. That's you that is!
  19. Well it's midday over here in Mallorca and I can reliably tell you over in Blighty that you wont see a signing in the next hour! ?
  20. Waggott's ST sales target isn't happening.
  21. Bit harsh - he deserves the first 10 games.
  22. "As things stand, Rovers haven’t agreed a fee with any prospective signing in a bid to add to their squad ahead of the 5pm deadline." Quelle surprise.
