  1. Perhaps without the losing streaks and some pastings away from home, he wouldn't be focusing on defence. Which, alongside a striker, is where the investment is needed most. Massive window this summer, not convinced we'll get it right. Going to need North of £10-15 mil and that's without selling Dack.
  2. Good win that. No excuse for not blooding the kids now. Bell may make a decent left winger before he makes a decent left back.
  3. Can't argue with that although I think we are covered for AM unless Dack goes. I'd like to see another natural wide player in.
  4. What an absolute muppet. Two clean sheets with victories sandwiching a barrel load of defeats and he concludes the midfield is better with the pairing during the defeats. EEE-AW
  5. On holiday so missed the game but a great win that guarantees safety. Now then TM, let's see Chapman in for Conway and Nyambe for Bennett and see what that 11 can do...
  6. Chapman not injured. Just not selected according to Sharpe. Gone for extra striker instead. TM obviously thinks the extra striker will thrive on the quality crosses coming in from out wide, so no need for Chapman to actually deliver some. Conway FFS.
  7. This poll is as skewed as a peoples' vote. It's 50 choices for leave and 1 for remain...
  8. 2 points. One against Bolton and an unexpected point at Norwich.
  9. More worrying that he is still basing formations on who he signs, rather than signing players to fit a formation.
  10. Pah! £350k? Liverpool are small fry. We've spent £7mil on a striker for our under 23s.
  11. Eactly. He should be buying 4 players to become the spine of the team immediately. Keeper, CB, cm, cf. They should all be good enough to command a place. We can slot in the rest of our midfielders (sorry -squad) around that. Definitely not the other way round. Only Graham, Dack and possibly Nyambe and Lennihan have shown enough to be first choice.
  12. We'd have struggled aerially against Wednesday with our normal back four. Today was just par for the course. Expected us to lose and we did -in the normal fashion! Not even upset tonight. Moved back into apathetic mode. Good luck shifting season tickets Mr Waggott. Perhaps you will tell us how genuinely exciting our summer signings will be? Oh...you did that last year..... I noticed Sheff Weds already had their early bird deal out...
  13. Thought the defence coped much better last night than at Wigan first time round when we had Mulgrew and Rodwell at their calamitous best. Seems like a defender can defend in any position. A midfielder not so....
  14. "Are you aware that your oldest has just eaten the last slice of Mrs Mowbray's Lemon drizzle cake?"
  15. Good win. Nyambe had a good game. Best Dack played for a while as well.
  16. Commentator keeps on saying Cory Evans for Wigan. Pretty sure there aren't 2 of them!
  17. To be fair, anyone following Mulgrew and Rodwell's careers would wager their house on one or both being unavailable half the time. In fact, Lennihan himself has been pretty injury prone so far. The only one not injury prone was Downing. Compounding that by letting the most developed of our younger players go out on loan was just madness. Nb. I do not consider Williams a defender on any level.
  18. If they end up getting promoted with whomever they bring in, it will have been a great decision.
  19. Wigan gave us a hammering earlier this season, could easily have been 7. We haven't got the players to cope with their physical game. Must win game though for Mowbray. At any other club he'd be sacked if we lose.
