I'm not a subscriber to the Times but I'm tempted to do so just to read that article, especially as it is by Henry Winter.
I heard the thing about Venus over Christmas. Him and Mowbray have had rotten luck in losing their wives at relatively young ages. I suppose working in football and being involved every day might be the best thing for him to try and help him through it.

Very enjoyable. Thanks for doing it. You're all a lot prettier than I thought you'd be
Not sure about the Sheff Utd red décor though.
Your comments regarding the wallpaper have been passed to Mrs H...I’d go into hiding now if I were you ?

The BRFCS pod squad meets up & records in person for the first time ever. A rendezvous in Sheffield ahead of the game against the Blades (perhaps just as well as events unfolded) providing an opportunity to review 2018's highs & lows, "Defend the Indefensible" and play "Name That Rover".
Many thanks to Mike Delap, Jen Bellamy, Linz Lewis, Scott Sumner, Michael Taylor, Matt Grimshaw (young apprentice podcaster), Stuart Grimshaw & Louis G for their contributions. Blame Ian Herbert for the editing.
Also available on YouTube if you want to see the "red button" highlights !

Finished binge-watching this last night & thoroughly enjoyed the insight into a dysfunctional club. Whilst I also enjoyed the “All Or Nothing” on City, this was much more relevant to a Rovers supporter with alarming parallels to our plight at various points over the last 7/8 years.
The behind the scenes staff at the club were the real heroes, the ones in the canteen especially. They are the life blood of the club. It also seemed to shine a harsh light on Chris Coleman’s managerial ability. He had a few false dawns but failed to make any lasting changes.
Jason Steele’s plight touched me to be honest. He seems a decent enough lad but with a chronic lack of confidence that certainly wasn’t helped by moving from one basket case scenario to another.
Great TV, well worth a watch.

Collecting anecdotes/memories for our Review of 2018 podcast which will be recorded on Saturday morning.
What are the Rovers highs & lows that have resonated with you this year ?
Doncaster will be in there obviously as a high (& yesterday almost certainly as a low...)...but what else, however small, that might not have been noticed by the majority or was personal, made an impression on you...? GO ! ??

That could well explain how this came about then I think this type of thing is always relevant although it doesn't mean it's dodgy but could explain why it got done.
Brereton, Harry Chapman & Peter Whittingham are all with the same agency. Not sure what that proves TBH if anything, but having players from the same agency on the books is not a surprise to me TBH.

As a resident of Sheffield, any hardy train travellers might want to call in here on Platform 1b....

The podcast panel of Bill Arthur, Jen Bellamy, Mike Delap, Ian Futter, Linz Lewis, Tom Schofield, Scott Sumner, Michael Taylor corralled by host Ian Herbert, answers some festive questions coming up with suggestions for Festive run-out music, Rovers Secret Santa and Boxing Day treats...we would sincerely like to apologise for the singing...
Merry Christmas, from all at BRFCS.

A different sort of Podcast and very interesting. Well done!
Thanks ARA...I asked a cheeky question, got a positive reply & John really couldn’t have been nicer. It sort of tied in with the Boro game...?
John has said he enjoyed it & would do another one so the next one might be a treatise on 70’s rock music...so er...a different type of pod altogether...
”A different type of pod altogether”
...one for Airplane fans there...
One of our correspondents has also done a left field one which will emerge in January....not Strictly Rovers but very definitely with Rovers overtones....watch this space....??

Can't get more? They seem rather popular.
I think the premise was an initial ltd edition run to generate demand...which it did...to raise money for the charity as opposed to it being an ongoing commercial operation.
i think it’s fair to say the response has been overwhelming & a number of people, me included, have said we should consider doing ones for other players in a similar vein.
if we can persuade Jen then watch this space ?
