How much money we talking here?
JDT might decide it’s worth it.
He’d surely just negotiate a signing on fee of equivalent value with his new employer ?

They wouldn't sell it to comply with FFP, they'd sell it to trouser the cash and set up a ground share with Mill Hill St Peters
I guess that’s what I meant by ‘odd’…👍

If you're a supporter of venkys then you are not a supporter of Blackburn Rovers.
It's like calling yourself a peace activist whilst supporting a war.
I checked to see if we were mentioned in this article…give it time 😆

You missed out selling the ground. It's only a question of time before that, like most so called conspiracy theories, becomes a reality.
Selling the ground isn’t allowed in FFP any more so if they did sell it, it would be very odd.

Time to give Warnock a call, but it won’t happen with Paul Senior, sorry, Gregg Broughton in situ.

JDT wanted out in the summer when the "project" got the hand grenade.
He could have forced the issue then but didn't.
He knows what has happened in this window and was gagged by the club and still is.
With his comments in that longer interview now in the public domain, pointing at the owners, CEO and the fruit juice salesman, his position is untenable.
The club must come to an amicable parting... now.
The players know already that their manager wants out and that he had nowt to do with the new recruits. His words ...I'm the coach.
This fiasco has to stop.
Spot on. We need points now…then chuck it all in a skip on 1st June & start again.

Potentially a slightly alarmist headline when you read the content, but potentially not. It's not a great look.
By saying it’s a club decision it merely confirms the first question at tomorrow’s press conference…or Monday’s & so on…

You know what's going to happen with Mcguire don't you either
1. Total flop
2. Scores 15+ between now and the end of the season but venkys refuse to release the funds to take up the option to buy.
…or his agent now demands £100k per week…😆

"With Tom Bogert confirming that the loan fee is worth $700,000 with a purchase option of around $7 million, plus $2.5 million in add-ons"
Equivalent to roughly 550k, and then £5.5m + another £2m, madness
We ain’t paying that unless he smashes 20 goals between now & May 😆

Turning all SWAG for a moment, yesterday should keep us in the Championship without relegation worries.
With Fleck, MacFazdean and Garrett likely to feature, the ice pack and stitches count in the opposition dressing rooms will go up quite a bit...
“Finishing games with 10 men” odds ?

What about those who would like to “view it on a granular level and get into more of the minutiae” but cannot be arsed sifting through the repetitive, factually incorrect and cathartic bellyaching?
I think WhatsApp groups might be what you are looking for…

This window reeks of expediency. The bare minimum simply to keep us ticking over. Will it be enough? Not wholly convinced TBH but a lot of players need to step up to the mark very quickly for safety to be assured.
The phrase “kick the can down the road” was used on here & that’s exactly what we’ve done. The Indian court situation is the lead weight round our ankles. Unless & until that is resolved we are ticking over…simply trying to maintain existence.
Relegation this time would consign us to the third tier for a while in my view.

The post I was responding to said we should bring back the talk of Venkys asset stripping. I'm not happy with how they run the club but I don't think this can accurately be labelled at them.
It can’t, arithmetically it literally isn’t the case.

It was a term phrased a lot during Venkys tenure, however it needs to be brought back. This is asset srripping at its finest. Anything that can be sold for any worth it's gone. The V's are playing their own version of bargain hunt and we sadly are the viewer.
Technically (pedantically if you prefer) …it can’t be asset stripping as they’ve put more in than they can ever get back. This is loss mitigation.

Look the debt needs clearing the only way of doing so is selling! Sure some money needs to be reinvested but that's a Venky issue that is seperate to the fact £22m for a teenager with less than 50 apps for a Championship club with no International caps above Under 20's level is a decent deal.
The debt doesn’t need clearing. It’s Intra-group & interest free.
