  11. Was it Oliver Kay (now Athletic, formerly Times) who attended the KGH fans meeting ? Can anyone confirm ?
  12. I think the number of signatures is less important than the quality of the content & the content is really well written & presented.
  13. It is...any disposal over book value is profit. However, when calculating profit for FFP purposes, certain expenditure in infrastructure is allowable. Therefore, if this land is sold, for FFP it generates a positive inflow, then if that cash is spent on redeveloping the academy site, that is allowable so net on net, it improves our FFP calculation.
  14. Are you an Atalanta fan ? 😉
  15. One of Sheffield’s most famous addresses...😉
  16. I agree - my posting of the Sunderland stuff was to demonstrate that even if you know what will be checked, approval isn’t a given, it has to be earned by a robust evidence trail. Look at what they had to do after being rejected...it’s an exhaustive process.
  17. Sunderland’s initial application was rejected & they revised their approach when they re-applied. I guess it’s like preparing for a health inspection in a restaurant....you know what could be checked, but if you don’t prove it, you don’t get the accreditation. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderland-academy-category-one-reid-17710283
  18. Nobody can give guarantees re Category 1 status - it’s an independent audit process. Think of it like a pseudo-Ofsted inspection. All anyone can do is look at the requirements & make the case that you are meeting them. If the auditors agree then you gain/keep your accreditation. This is Sunderland’s story... https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderlands-academy-retains-elite-category-17692854
