  1. In a packed pod hosted by Linz Lewis, Jane Purdon CEO of Women In Football discusses the challenges faced by women working in the game and an insight into the #WhatIf campaign recently nominated for a BT Sport Diversity and Inclusion Award. Part 2 features the #GirlSquad of Jen, Millie, Hollie and Lucy talking all things Rovers. What went wrong in Feb? How do you solve a problem like Breo?...and which former Rovers player would you like to see back at the club? The girls also share with you their female supporting heroes. In Part 3, a light is shone on our incredibly successful Rovers ladies. We chat to manager Gemma Donnelly, who tells us just how good her team really is and gives us an insight into what promotion could mean for the ladies. The Venkys even get a mention! In our final part the panel discuss their experiences as female football fans and discuss the current furore around female commentators and analysts. Thanks to all those who contributed to a pod made with love, mischief and a whole heap of girl power. Happy International Women’s Day ! View full record
  2. I was curious about this...in the a/cs year ending June 2001 (i.e. after his death) Rovers lost £31m & the balance sheet showed accumulated losses of £70.9m.
  3. If Rovers fancy paying me I’d be happy to do this as a full time job ?
  4. *Spoiler Alert* ? Fingers crossed we can make it happen...??
  5. “I’d even take C O Y L E over Mowbray...” hell’s teeth...?
  6. We now have the benefit of hindsight of course but following a poor December the window was seen as an opportunity to re-calibrate what might be possible this season. A series of impressive results really cranked up the optimism and rumours abounded of Harry Chapman, Sam Gallagher, Britt Assombalonga et al. That only Chapman arrived and he was evidently some way off match fitness was, in the end, anti climactic. A disastrous February seems to have highlighted that our squad depth isn’t what we might have hoped, our fringe players aren’t putting the pressure on the 1st XI that you’d hope, our senior players seem to have lost their mojo, our tactics seem to change within game and from game to game with no discernible improvement in performance and our defence is as fragile as a Theresa May promise. Downing is earmarked as surplus to requirements, Wharton sent out on loan and so the permutations in defence involve rotating the same cast, with no discernible improvement in performance. A “beast” of a centre half used to organising those around him....including the keeper...a strong, “ball holding up” centre forward, perhaps even a loan keeper of calibre to keep Raya on his toes...and who knows where we might have ended up ? Hindsight...the perfect science....but let’s learn the lesson in July eh chaps ?
  7. Gotta be honest, it’s all about who we can make contact with by using our network...if we get wind of someone who knows someone then we give it a go...we have some irons in various fires & we have some friends who are very helpful. Hopefully we can deliver some more as the year progresses...??
  8. Disappointing lack of fans of Bristol, Doncaster & Tranmere infiltrating the board....?
  9. This special edition has an exclusive interview with former Rovers manager Don Mackay, who chats with Ian Herbert about the Full Members' Cup final, Steve Archibald, Colin Hendry, play off heartbreak, beating Burnley and much, much more. Our thanks to Don for so graciously giving of his time. View full record
  10. He’ll be under extreme scrutiny on March 9th now for sure ?
  11. A packed episode squeezes in two interviews; Ian Herbert catches up with Radio Lancashire's Andy Bayes, Michael Taylor checks in with FourFourTwo magazine's Conor Pope & sandwiched in between of all this footballing nutrition is another quality reminiscence from Canada's very own Bill Arthur. Many thanks of course to our excellent guests for giving up their time. View full record
  12. I wish this poll had been set the day after the Hull City game...
  13. Over to you Tony...

  17. BRFCS Podcast host Ian Herbert chats with Lancashire Telegraph Rovers reporter Rich Sharpe about Rovers season so far, morale in the camp, the transfer window and the perils of dictaphones. 19. WBA haven’t signed any back up for the combi boiler...in this weather if he blows up then their hopes could freeze in record time leaving them catching a cold outside the top two...
  20. “Sometimes right....sometimes wrong...always certain....” ?
  21. Can only play for two clubs in a season as well....
  22. Interestingly Arsenal FC have stopped Arsenal Fan TV from calling themselves Arsenal Fan TV https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/arsenal-fan-tv-news-aftv-rebrand-youtube-channel-social-media-a8491596.html
