On a more tribal front, I THINK I'm happier with JDT & co than I would've been with Kompany. There seems to me to be more substance & thought gone into our move than Burnley's, which seems to be just appointing a big-name crowd pleaser who has the profile, but not necessarily proven that he has specific managerial nouse. I could be proven wrong & to large extent it's a minor subplot, but will be interesting to see how both imaginative & ambitious appointments, in different ways, play out...

Burnley : “So Vincent…you’re definitely interested in the role ?”

VK : “Remind me again - how far are you from my wife’s family in Manchester ?”

What's wrong with the current one exactly? Seeing lots of moans, is everyone just being tight due to the cost of living crisis, energy costs, petrol rises etc...

I can only speak for myself but midweek games are a no-no for me & so the average cost per game when you remove those is no longer quite as attractive. Add in at least a couple of Saturday games lost (family commitments/holidays) then factor in the usual bundle deals & quite simply the numbers don’t add up.

All this ignores £60 on diesel, £10 to park, refreshments etc…

All joking aside, the really sad thing is Rev, Venkys as we all know are billionaires, they could employ the very best manager out there willing to come to the club, yet they continue to operate with little or no ambition, gambling with the clubs future with every passing season.

Go and get Dyche, thats what Jack would have done, if he says no find more candidates at that level, simple really If you have the clubs best interests at heart.

Jack would probably have gone for Poch…this very afternoon…

Don’t tell people off on here who haven’t renewed their season tickets for whatever reason. The fact they are still coming on BRFCS and getting angry shows they still give a toss.

It’s much more productive having a word with someone you know who has totally disengaged. I’m sure we all know people who fall into that bracket.

These are the people it’s really difficult to get back. Maybe it’s the comparatively high single ticket prices compared to a season ticket, maybe they realise they don’t miss it that much, but when people say they are giving up their season tickets and they will pick and choose their games, they generally just stop going. My Dad is a prime example of this. Despite hitting pensioner age last season he’d had enough. The only games he went to were 4 on my ticket I couldn’t attend due to a holiday, work commitments and Covid, plus one tenner deal around Christmas. It’d have been zero if I’d been able to make them all and it hadn’t been his Grandson’s first ever game.

Whingeing at someone you only know from a messageboard will only get their back up. Have a chat with someone you know on a personal level, see what is keeping them from coming back - if you want to let me know I’ll report it on to the club as part of some ongoing work I’m doing with the Trust.

I’ve heard from fans who’ve given up Rovers for golf, caravans, fishing, sessions in the pub. Many of these wouldn’t have a clue what our first 11 looks like anymore… people who have clocked up thousands of miles over years and years have stopped caring. Trying to get them to care again would be really useful, criticising and sermonising to people on here does no good at all.

You’re kind of nailing it in the last 24 hours Duncan…😉

Fielder intercepted an email I sent to Waggott about the circumstances surrounding the Hull postponement and was patronising and condescending to say the least in his reply. I complained about his response and in fairness got a call from Waggott who said he would take him to task about his response.

He used to work at Hull interestingly…

I think the Knutsen link is just lazily based on yesterday's appointment.

Pardew's the one that has me worried right now. Has applied for the job, apparently, and there are a few whispers the job is his.

How desperate is he to get back into English football, is the question. He, or whoever else, is going to be walking into a mess here with so much work to do in the window.

Genuine question, if Pardew is appointed, how would you feel?

    Appalled.
