If we are out of decent options, and it sure sounds like we are, I would give it to a former player, no matter how bad they've done. Dunn or Tugay. Friedel? I understand the risks. But I just desperately miss having someone in leadership that cares about the club.

the guy has never played the game at any level,he`s done his coaching badges through textbooks, how can he instruct professional footballers if he`s never experienced the game,he`d never get anywhere near the job in a properly run club, technically i could fit someone a new roof if i read a book about it,no doubt it would end in tragedy because iv`e never actually done it in reality
Jose Mourinho - 94 games in Portuguese lower leagues…did they convince Bobby Robson to give him a job ?

I just wonder what on earth an interview with “the owners” will look like. Which of them conducts it? Are they finally going to embrace zoom or some similar video calling software, or make them travel to India? That’s without the fact they will have to ask some questions on a subject they are utterly clueless about.
’So Carlos, can you repeat after me… “The owners are supportive, knowledgeable and humble”
Hmmm, not bad, but Nigel said it better’
In all seriousness I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this step in the process put decent candidates off.
A 2nd interview isn’t exactly unheard of…what matters is whether it is seen more as a rubber-stamp to confirm a local recommendation…
I suspect many on here will fear it is more than that.

Some guys on here are getting way too in front of themselves and are primed for becoming a laughing stock!
On a side note, i’d be interested to know who are the agents of all these supposed candidates.
Carvalhal is apparently a client of New Era

Only saw him at Ewood with Fulham but looked decent against us…that said of course, it was against us…

Let me get this straight.
So someone that has been going to Ewood since he was five years old, a sixth generation fanatic, that loves the club like family, that spends his days giving himself RSI by posting on an obscure Rovers forum, that spends thousands of pounds and travels hundreds of miles year in year out …
doesn’t want us to actually succeed, in fact, he can’t BEAR the thought of it, indeed he’s TERRIFIED of it, because, err, well, he’d rather spite some family in Pune, India that aren’t even aware of his existence over the success and well being of his beloved Blackburn Rovers!?
Nice try 😁
“Obscure” take that back…😆
No. 1 on Google with no underhand SEO manipulation I’ll have you know…

I have never known tickets for a pre season friendly go on sale to ST holders first before.
If I had paid for a S/T I’d hope for some degree of preferential treatment in fairness…

What does the future hold for The Dingles now? Financial implosion?
I’ll be watching very closely - think Kieran Maguire will cover it in Price of Football pod as well.
Loads of players out of contract, no manager…what hope is there for their fans…oh hang on 🤨- 1

The only times we don't play in quarters is when the kit design is wrong.
I swear this debate comes up every off-season when there’s no football to distract us…
I’m firmly in the camp that Bristol Rovers play in quarters….Blackburn Rovers *should* always play in reversed halves…😉

Does Britt Assombalonga have one of those as well? Maybe that’s why the deal never happened 👀
Give it 20 years & Assombalonga will be the new Luca Toni on here - @Madon will collect royalties 😄

Rovers v Aston Villa in a cup tie has been something of a tradition over the years - here's the 1990 vintage 3rd Round FAC tie at Ewood with Chris Price on the Villa bench and Graham Taylor's side boasting Olney & Ormondroyd "up top"...quelle surprise..!

@tonyozThanks for doing these…really enjoyed the insight they provide
