Interesting opinions on here. FWIW my take is that it is a lovely shirt & if I was on holiday in Zurich & saw it in a local sports shop, I’d probably buy it, in the same way I once bought a blue & white halved Nike FC Porto shirt.
I confidently predict it will be an outrageous commercial success, especially amongst younger fans but….
As some have already said, dispense with history & tradition at your peril. It looks more like a Grasshoppers shirt than a Rovers shirt.
If I ever run the club this will never happen again*…😉
*except for the away kit…have some fun with that by all means…

Bit of an over reaction 😂
I don't get why anyone would care about reversed halves on the back 🤷 The correct blue colour, simple kit, will definitely be getting one
I care…😉

Genuinely don't know anything about that 'thingy'. I've never boycotted. First match I went to was in 1960, never deliberately missed a home game since.
Doesn't make me a better fan than anyone else but it gives me a perspective.
No bad owners, crap managers or anything else within the club is going to drive me away, it's my club, it's your club. One day they will be gone, God willing I'll still be here.
If the club has been driven out of existence through lack of support (no matter how noble and righteous the excuse/rationale) then that's our fault no one else's. My post was a plea for that not to happen.
Mock away, you're not going to change my opinion.
He’s referencing your profile (which you can change BTW)

excellent choice if it is red and black halves
why would we need one if the home strip is blue and white halves and away strip red and black halves? So no need at at
Crystal Palace in the cup; Barcelona in Europe…

It’s weird I went to the ewood concourse sale a couple of weeks back and when I was paying heard a chap (who I believe to be Warren Lucy going off his voice) talking to the retail manager saying he’d seen something in the flesh and it was majestic.
I assumed he was referring to the kit and a teaser or reveal was imminent but nothing since
…or Warren has a new wine supplier….

I see the full accounts are now available on the Companies House web site.
It looks to my untrained eye that the figures and reports were all signed and approved in December 2020.
With Mowbray stating that we have missed out on some transfer targets due to the embargo for late filing of the accounts, it begs the question why were they not filed at the earliest date possible after internal approval ?
There may be valid reasons - anyone any ideas ?
There is an argument to not reveal a weak hand until the last possible moment & given that the EFL allowed a deferral due to Covid Rovers might have feared predatory activity by other clubs if we revealed the numbers sooner than everyone else ? Might have impacted upon potential transfer income ?
This is little more than a theory clearly…🤷♂️

I was also told that the kit only arrived in Blackburn on Thursday and was completely unbranded except for the Macron logo.
I’m reminded of a time when my u15 team was awaiting delivery of a kit to a shop in Rochdale & got it on the morning of our 1st game.
When unboxed pre-match, the stripes on the sleeves had been sewn on upside down 🤦♂️

I think the anger is compounded by the fact that Sheff Weds temporary shirt resembled a football shirt. Ours looked like something homemade on a cheap "fruit of the loom" knockoff...
I suspect it’s just luck of the draw as to what team wear Macron could get their hands on.

It is Ian but the wider question for me is have we got into a deal with a poor supplier. I did lots of supplier contracts and we always insisted on penalty clauses for late delivery. I don't know the details of this particular deal but if Macron promised delivery dates and didn't meet them then the club should be hammering them.
...& they may well be for all I know. 🤷♂️
Covid & Brexit has impacted upon loads of supply chains. -

I'd say sack the kit man, but he probably got potted in the backroom cutbacks ages ago...hence today's debacle
The kit issue is purely down to Macron. Sheff Weds also have a “pre-season kit” from Macron.

You can get an idea of how things are going by looking at the share issues by Venkys London as historically that is how the club has been funded. Interestingly the increase in the share capital between January 2020 and May 2021 has been "only" in the region of £22m whereas I would have expected more given the loss of income. Either there has been some reduction in the cost base or an increase in external borrowing or some bills have not been paid.
…or most likely, inter-company loans have increased to fund working capital requirements

I expect this “wage cut” was due to the fact he was on furlough from the time it was introduced until the season restarted
The CEO was on furlough ? Really ? Do you know that for sure or is it speculation ?

Does that mean they were 6 days late?
So middle of July before any movement can be made in the transfer market?
I’d guess the processing delay was at Companies House. I’d also guess that the separate profit & sustainabilty submission to the EFL was submitted at the same time & it is the outcome of that assessment that matters.

After watching the Euros I thought a couple of hours sleep would do before the 7am local ko time but tiredness and old age caught up and I slept through the alarm so missed the game live.
Now scouring YouTube for highlights etc

I don't mean to keep overhyping Ben Brereton, it's just that in the UK you're not seeing what i'm seeing here in the US on Chilean and Spanish language media. I'm only sharing the tip of the iceburg available in English mostly. He is a legitimate celebrity in every sense of the word. And no matter what happens tonight versus Brazil, the Chilean fans (about 90% of the population of 19M) will continue to follow his every move (and have their eyes on Rovers too).
And it just doesn't stop. He is the gift that keeps on giving. Even the shirt off his back.
This week a boy named Cristobal went viral with a home made Brereton #22 Chile jersey. And yesterday Ben Brereton sent Cristobal a video message telling him he would be mailing him an official Brereton Díaz shirt. That gesture has further endeared him to an already adoring Chilean public.
Needless to say Cristobal was over the luna....
Here is an article in Spanish about it:

We were in touch with his sister & we were all set to send him a Rovers shirt until the club stepped up. 😉
Our terrific sponsors The Terrace are sending him a BBD22 mug 👍🏻
His sister is overwhelmed with the generosity. Truly a heartwarming tale.

Agreed…the first Rovers kit you ever see imprints on your memory & becomes *the* Rovers kit forever…
I always had a soft spot for the Asics/CIS one as it was a terrific update of the classic 60’s kit.
