  1. Interesting discussion about who has developed this season: Kaminski - undoubtedly now worth more than we signed him for you’d think Pears - no comment Nyambe - not progressed due to the management of him, now worth less due to contract Lenihan - nope Ayala - funny Wharton - was actually showing development then broke Bell - nope and worth zero now anyway JRC - not really, spent a lot of the season injured and contract running down Dolan - definitely worth more than signed for Buckley - may have developed slightly this year Johnson - nope Evans - nope (lol) Davenport - nope Chapman - may be able to be sold for what we signed him for once we trigger his contract Rothwell - will leave for cheap or nothing Gallagher - LOL Brereton - LOL Holtby - nope Armstrong - potentially a big money player now with a short contract so probably worth similar to last year Dack - broken Douglas / Big bad branthwaite / Elliot / HTB - nicely given game time to Liverpool and City’s young lads to help them develop So with the talk of player development what has this season actually achieved?
  2. We were never going up and never going down so it doesn’t matter apparently Why bother?
  3. I actually think he will be, I think we’ll win a couple of games and he’ll leave on mutual terms before fans come back into grounds.
  4. The fact that we are even considering the possibility that the likes of Rotherham and Coventry could drag us into the relegation mix is hugely damning of Mowbray. A shocking season that needs to end sharpish along with his reign. He can leave proudly with us ever so slightly above when he joined
  5. Oh bloody Nora, Lancs Live now writing filler pieces with xG (and xA....) as the source https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/bradley-dack-injury-impact-return-20375848.amp?__twitter_impression=true
  6. Yeah but if you ignore the results, and the performances then the ‘numbers’ show we are doing well I believe the team that finishes outside the top ten with the highest xG goes into the preliminary rounds for the Intertoto cup and gets a £25 Subway voucher
  7. xG is just a silly pseudo science, this isn’t baseball, cricket or American Football, stats to that level of detail just don’t tell the story in football. We may have won 1 in 15 but the ‘numbers’ suggest we are better, no, it doesn’t work like that. Whatever numbers; stats or whatever you want to overlay the proof is irrefutable, the manager is not getting the results.
  8. My worry is we will win 2-3 on the bounce at the end of the season and all will be forgotten. ‘he should be given the chance to build on it’ etc etc will ring around the Twittersphere
  9. Also we didn’t win them because Armstrong was out, didn’t he play in half of this 1 win in 15 run?
  10. He’s going to dine out on that famous point for a while now
  11. Today’s result guarantees we finish on less points than last season The season is a failure by any metric
  12. A late equaliser is always nice but i won’t be celebrating a point at 8th place Cardiff after 1 win in 15 in a season where the target was promotion Dumbing down to say otherwise
  13. An entire 5 man midfield changed in one go, wow
  14. Before we play the luck card, we should have played 70 minutes with 10 men remember
  15. Oh we scored, I should pretend to be excited, can’t even be bothered doing that
  16. This trend of lying behind the wall is stupid, never actually helped stop a goal
  17. What a sorry state of affairs when you can't tie down new deals for the likes of JRC and Rothwell, one a half decent young lad who has just broke through and another with obvious talent but never set the world on fire. The kind of deal that would be easy if they had faith in the manager they were playing for
  18. So he plays Travis straight after a long lay off with no reserve games then stops playing him eventually with no reserve games either. Prime bullshit
  19. So close to retaining our ‘only shitter by 1 goal’ streak
  20. Honestly not that bothered if we win today, a slightly improved mid table position hardly feels something worth celebrating. Fancy we will win mind you
  21. I also think if given the option of walking away or trying to turn it around with the prospect of a pay off if not then most of us would take the second option. That may be because we think we have enough about us to turn it around or it could be because it’s more lucrative but either way it’s clearly a more attractive proposition. Sorry to say I wouldn’t be walking away myself
