  1. I went to Red Hot World buffet on Liverpool one and whilst the selection was great I left wishing I'd just gone to a dedicated Indian / Chinese / Italian and just had one good meal instead. Then again I felt the same at La Salsa in Darwen and others rave about it.
  2. Think so Abbs, used to go as a kid for Ice Cream I think if its the same one
  3. Weirdly even though quarantine was an unneeded shot for shot remake of rec for The American audience quarantine 2 is going to go in it's own direction away from Rec I think. I like the sound of that film you listed above I'll check that out
  4. Loved the REC films, I think having to read the subtitles makes it more jumpy when something does happen. On edge the whole time in the first film.
  5. I'll be going to see Final Destination 802 when it's out, I know exactly what to expect but I know I'll enjoy it for some reason. Looking forward to Prometheus which is a Ridley Scott film set in the Alien universe.
  6. You didn't look too far then the other one was on the first page
  7. The original title of this topic is relevent to me at the moment, recently got the first 3 Pirates of the Carribean BluRays and going through them, just watched the second and I'm really enjoying them. As a huge fan of WDW it's great fun spotting references to the PotC ride that the films were based on. Some influences from Monkey Island as well no doubt although Monkey Island originally took some influence from the PotC ride I believe.
  8. Yep, when I first started going out 10 years ago we used to start over at Marleys then onto T-Bar (toffs) then up the stairs accross town to Bentleys, O Neills, then the lounge, cafe manyana (i think thats what it was called), Blakeys and then back over to the cav. Now there is nothing over where Cav etc was and it has slowly killed it off. If it was just to do with the population then surely Preston and Burnley would have died a death as well? When Blackburn started declining badly a few years back I thought a walkabout or even a revolution may have kicked some life back into it but it's too late now I think.
  9. Off to the Villa in Clitheroe on Saturday for a mates 30th, there's about 45 of us so not expecting much and never rated it too highly in the past although some rave over it. Not stricly on topic but we stopped at Mrs Dowsons for an ice cream on saturday, I had Pear Drop and Saspirella and they were bloody brilliant.
  10. I saw a trailer for that it just looked like a blantant copy of Kickass. Is it the guy from the US Office?
  11. I watched Event Horizon for the first time last week, enjoyed it although the effects are a little distracting. It looked like the director had just discovered CGI and was keen to show it off in parts
  12. I watched Jaws 3 the other day, words cannot describe how bad the effects are in the last scene of that film. But I was talking about the B movie remake of the B movie with added DD's.
  13. I thought it was good fun, as you say turn off the old brain, sit back and enjoy, good b movie type film.
  14. The polar bear kind or scarface style? Watched gangs of new York on channel 4 last night seen it before but what a bloody good film, Daniel Day Lewis owns the part of butcher bill. Also added a few Will Ferrel Blurays to my collection (stepbrothers, anchorman, old school and elf) he's very love or hate and suffered from over exposure but those 4 films crack me up everytime. I also got the first 3 Pirates of the Carribean on bluray with my disney movie reward points so going to try and watch those at some point.
  15. I have had to turn the 3d right down on zelda, I keep getting a double vision type effect on it. Still even in 2d its amazing and is pretty much the reason I bought the system, as soon as I heard the ocarina again on the advert I was sold. Loved it back in the day and love it now. Just ordered PES for the 3ds should be interesting
  16. Theno a few of my mates got the leg of lamb one time. It was good but not amazing in my opinion, much preffered the curries
  17. My experience there wasn't as good as most peoples, but we went on a Saturday with a group of us, the first round of tapas was really nice but then every round afterwards seemed to get smaller and not as good as the last. It didn't help that they had obviously over booked and the party who were next at our table were basically stood next to our table waiting for it
  18. We really enjoyed Naga, they've done the place up really nice as well. Came to about £44 all in with 2 starters, 2 mains plus rice, chips and 2 naans, a beer, a wine and a baileys so about average price, maybe top end compared to the Darwen ones.
  19. I've enjoyed it so far but find little time for games at the minute so only a few hours in I did get a 3ds for my birthday though which seems a nice enough bit of kit Also I picked up Enslaved for £8 or so and really impressed with the opening couple of levels, very polished
  20. Not going till tomorrow pal will let you know
  21. I've just signed up for http://www.icheckmovies.com (username TCO) just trying to get round to actually filling out what movies I've seen now though!
  22. Ok but if you do you'll have to buy my wife a drink it is her birthday Funny enough I bumped into you last time I went Sukhis as well
  23. Congrats to master gumboots. We are trying Naga at Abbey village on Friday, will report back on findings
  24. I watched [Rec]2, the atmosphere in those films are so tense, the first is scarier but I thought the sequel was a worthwhile addition, I think they are made scarier due to the fact you have to concentrate to read the subtitles. Suprisingly I've never seen Rango, will add it to the list though.
  25. The Toy Story one? Apparently people are impressed with the trailer for Brave but it's only attached to the 3D showings. I'm really excited about Disneys 'Wreck it Ralph': The film tells the story of Wreck-It Ralph (John C Reilly), an arcade game Bad Guy, who is determined to prove he can be a Good Guy
