  1. Being a hibs fan also, I have always been of the opinion that Youan is better as a 9, he is lighting fast and surprising decent in the air. Left wing he be isolated. Would imagine he is viewed more as a striker than Kargbo.
  2. O’brien and one of those fancy foreign strikers I’ll be happy.
  3. Guebbels is the type of player that would fall into the brentford model, as would Aasgard, young 20s players. Willing to give Kargbo a go, looks like a left winger which we badly need, has bags of pace which we need more than anything. Suspect we will get a loan deal done for Danns too. Then it has to centre midfield, can’t be happy with the options there. Sell Dolan
  4. Honestly the state of this football club, it’s absolutely incredible we are sitting 6th in league. A miracle
  5. Callum Robinson, another one of those guys that seems to up his game against us. Sick of the sight of him over the years. Riis is a much better fit stylistically than Bamford, and a hell of a lot cheaper I would imagine.
  6. Kargbo looks like a very quick left winger, certainly can’t be any worse than the current options. We must be the slowest team in the league. Need to get Danns from Liverpool too play through the middle.
  7. If I was John Eustace, I’d be off too Derby in a flash if they come calling, this club is in a Venkys induced coma of nothingness and showing no signs of ambition. It’s Groundhog Day again. What is the point in Venkys owning Blackburn Rovers? Why do they do it?
  8. Had Brittain on skates all first half.
  9. Forshaw moved like Bradley Johnson without the muscle. Woeful. Passing dreadful too. No wonder he struggled for game time in league 1. Tronstad is our best player, when he went off and Gueye got booked we were dead in the water. ACD too, I thought was terrible.
  10. Should have had my mortgage on Asante to score today.
  11. Everyone loves Mowbray, lovely guy and did a cracking job all things considered. Let’s move on
  12. Yeah when he scored a screamer against us in the cup a couple of years back, when he was but a child.
  13. Sell Dolan for any amount and put towards Aasgard given Danns lineage and our success with Liverpool loans we should be the top choice for the boy
  14. Just less options for the Chilean prince
  15. Well its groundhog day again, Rovers in a very good league position as the January transfer window opens, and nothing from Pune. I just dont get it, not asking for huge sums here, we need a quality winger and striker in asap, some very winnable games coming up. They could get a sizeable chunk of their money back and save some face if we ever reached the EPL. On the other hand, whoever made the decision at the club too hire John Eustace, well done. Guy has us punching above our weight and is a class act. You can actually see a huge improvement on the basics. Set pieces, defensive shape and patterns of play, along with in game management all noticeably improved. I would back him, I would trust him. Sanderson and Forshaw are squad players, which we need, but I hope JE is right that the bulk of the resources will go on the forward line. He certainly likes experience. I think Riis from Preston would be a cracking signing, always impressed, it would be weird, but I think he would be a quality striker for us, good age and experience in the league. Him along with Schlupp would be the combo for me.
  16. Jed Wallace is a VERY good footballer but he is not what we are needing right now. We have Weimann who is of a very similar ilk. A huge YES from me on BBD, you’d have to think he feels slightly bad about leaving us on a free, and when you look at the other clubs interested, if it’s game time he needs, he will start every game for us. Need Pace badly if that’s a PL loan then so be it. I’d take Schlupp and Brereton Diaz. I think gives us the shot in the arm we need.
  17. absolutely tremendous Something special going on here, everyone playing for each other and just controlling games. Nothing silly. Please let this be the year.
  18. Cantwell first name on the teamsheet, and the sooner the better. Levels above. Agree with Gueye tomorrow and Cozier.
  19. That was impressive, gutsy show from us. Cantwell and ACD, who could more than like be our best two players, still to add. Bristol next who have conceded 3 to derby today, pinch me. Is it really on this year? The recruit level has been excellent, Beck was brilliant today and it was a tough ask for him.
  20. Duberry for Dolan and Baker for Travis
  21. So in the last few days we have signed a new #1, left back cover, experienced CM, Todd bloody Cantwell and Baby Saka. Its what most people on this board were calling for, and they actually delivered. Recruitment team have had a blinder. Really excited now for the season after a cracking start. This type of business will more bums on seats. Color me impressed
  22. The timing of the derby game is unfortunate. Baby Saka looks incredible.
  23. Sitting here on this transfer eve, if we manage to bring in the hungry keeper, Cantwell on a permanent and Cozier-Duberry I will be thrilled. The overall squad would be much stronger than last year. Gilsenan and Leonard will be back at the end of sept too. Don’t really care about how much we spend, I care about watching quality on the field. My deadline day surprise is that someone comes in for Dolan, maybe a Birmingham City and then we get another forward player in.
  24. If i was an opposition manager i would be sticking my fastest player on Pickering and let him go to work, the poor guy can't run. Solid footballer. Growing up there were loads of great players and none of them made it due to pace. Surprising Pickering has made it this far, as its a CHRONIC lack of pace.
