Someone like a Chrisene, maybe a premier league loan to battle Pickering for LB. I wonder if Nakayama, free agent from huddersfield might fancy adding to our contingent. Need a quality right winger for sure, should be plenty of options out there. Palace really owe us one so I hope it’s Rak-Sakyi on loan for season for Right Wing. Add another larger striker to this too if we can, maybe a deal for Stephen Humprys fits in here for a free. Maybe a midfielder with a bit of guile, Luke McGowan, cheap, Dundees player of the year. I wonder if the ambitious winger might one Ben Doak from Liverpool. Championship clubs are looking at him as well as some premier league, we have a good track record with Liverpool wingers.

I’m over the Wharton deal too. We have a long history of selling players for big money that have ended up not producing at their new clubs, Santa Cruz, Samba and Rhodes. We were bound to get caught once, the club need the money and may yet get more out of it. Three signings next week, will believe that when I see it.

Thought I saw a Rothwell on season long loan rumor. Would be welcomed back with open arms, genuine world beater on his day. Would take and play the Sammie role. Chrisene would be even better next year, would loan him again. Sam will be away, someone will pay it, they always do. 15-17m. If tomorrow goes the way we all know it will go, JDT will resign on Friday I think. Got us 8th last year on a shoestring. Someone will hire him. GB might have less options, but I believe he has high intergrity so wouldn’t blame him if he quits either. Clubs been a circus for 13 years.

The club is in no position to turn down an offer of more than 20m for Wharton. We have done this too ourself’s for years of poor signings and poor contracting. Gallagher has been a total enigma, folk last week heralding his return and he was his usual woeful. Times up. I’d take 2.5m and save his colossal wage. There better be incomings. Like a striker or two. I’d take Jimmy Dunne, sounds like the right experience in the league. Sounds like the two new lads had good games for the under21s today, and Gilesnan grabbed a brace, so maybe some potential there.
