  1. If it’s 15m with Idah here permanently, I think I like that one best.
  2. Asked my Aberdeen season ticket holder brother about Hedges and he basically just described Harry Chapman…….yay.
  3. We def need one of those, I don’t think Davenport is the answer. Buckley will sit alright and knock the ball about but he isn’t much of an enforcer.
  4. Wishlist Tommy Doyle Man City Centre Mid Anthony Elanga Man Utd Winger Hannibal Man Utd Centre Mid Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Leicester Centre Mid Harvey Winger Liam Delap Man City Striker
  5. Kaminski Nyambe Ayala Lenihan Pickering Travis Buckley Rothwell Dolan Armstrong Brereton I think thats our strongest team right now 2-2 12,235
  6. Hopefully this it for them. Now to wait and see what kind of mess they will leave in their wake. I do find the Billy Barr move bizarre.
  7. If Rothwell had a better looking stat sheet he wouldn’t be in the championship. He does a lot more important work in the 4-3-3 formation than just assists and goals. Would i like more? Sure I would. Yesterday it was classic Rothwell, great touch, ability to beat a man and carry 40yards, good range of passing, nice cross for Gallagher in lead up to goal, (something the stat sheet doesn’t pick up btw). He is absolutely critical in that formation, in fact I don’t recall us playing well in a 4-3-3 without Rothwell in the team??? Anyone? With Pickering and Brereton on the left hand side we have some talent out there. Shame we only saw it for 25/30mins in preseason once.
  8. No way I’m leaving out Rothwell, he is the most talented footballer at the club. Changed that game yesterday, he is the first midfielder on the team sheet for me.
  9. You and I have agreed on this point before. Rothwell and Travis are 8’s, Buckley played as the 6 at Bradford and looked good. Yesterday was an opportunity to try that in our last game before the real stuff….
  10. Biggest problem yesterday for the 5 at the back, was Davenport and Travis were absolutely diabolical. Never available for a pass, Travis doesn’t have the touch in tight areas of the pitch.
  11. About the only bright spot from this preseason is that Buckley looks excellent, see a big difference in him from last year.
  12. Magloire got absolutely roasted today from League 2 fodder, and Carter looked shaky too. We need a centre half badly.
  13. Well there goes the wingback formation back into the cupboard
  14. What a difference with Rothwell and Buckley
  15. I don’t think Davenport has won a header in his life
  16. Travis has been absolutely dreadful
  17. Armstrong off, Dolan up top with Brereton Midfield three of Rothwell Garrett and Buckley should do the trick
  18. Travis and Davenport are way too deep. There is three massive centre backs there, they don’t need you on their toes.
  19. Armstrong looks like he couldn’t care less We have been nothing short of abysmal so far
  20. Yeah probably, Carter is close though I think, he got turned for the second Bradford goal pretty badly but done nothing else wrong. Hoping we see a 3-5-2 again.
  21. So just 14 hrs before kick off and we still don’t know if the game tomorrow will be on Rovers TV or not?? This is Blackburn Rovers we are taking about here, we are a big club. What the actual f#%^ is going on at this club? Wondering if Administration might be the best medicine, everything is wrong.
  22. Welcome back Gav. Our kids are playing this year whether we sign 4 premier league loans or not, that much is clear. We have lost 11 players. The thing that pisses me off soo much is everyone at the club should have known this stripped back version of the transfer window was coming, and the kids should have been playing the last 4 games of last season to see who could hack it. Instead we had to watch Mowbray with his pathetic self preservation ploy. Sickening, and now we go into the Swansea game next week non the wiser. The whole senior management setup at the club is an absolute farce top to bottom.
