  1. If we have nothing to spend, why is Mowbray still here? Its the end of the cycle, give someone else a go with the kids, he does not have a good track record. For the record I would be fine with leaning on the academy this year with a couple of solid loan signings, just not with Mowbray and the cronies.
  2. So someone through the door tomorrow then, one way or another. At least it will give us something to talk about m. Think it’s Rothwell away, and either Reach in or Doyle on loan from City.
  3. Sheff Utd had no problems trotting out the 3-5-2 every game to great affect two years ago, stormed the league.
  4. Someone with a hint of nonse around Ewood needs to check the length and any release clauses of Buckley’s contract. Will be player of the year for us this year. Great show from the young rovers, something we can build on. It looked like a 3-5-2 with wing backs, but Buckley kept pushing wide right so maybe more of a 5-2-3, whatever it was we looked solid, and much better than the 4-3-3. Pickering I’m not too worried about, Raphinha is top class.
  5. Harrison is lucky Nyambe went off, had to climb down from his back pooch
  6. Touch again from Buckley outstanding
  7. Jesus Christ, some of us are trying to enjoy this….can it wait till after??
  8. 3-5-2 Armstrong and Ben up top, something that might work
  9. All of a sudden Buckley looks like a god. Huge season for him. I thought he looked much improved against Bradford sitting in front of defense, now he is right of the three and our stand out player in that first half. Big Carter and Mags played well too. Dolan full of energy as usual. Decent half and we actually look solid at the back in a 5.
  10. To be fair that’s a tough shift against Raphinha
  11. World class ball from Buckley
  12. I’d have Magloire and Carter ahead of Ayala on the depth chart
  13. I honestly think 3-5-2 is the way forward and would welcome the formation change, JRC, Nyambe and Pickering are all good wingback options. Where was it at Bradford though?
  14. The kit is pure filth though
  15. F*%# me back to exploring with Wing Backs out of the blue. Leeds commentary too, I paid for the livenow video thinking that was the Leeds commentary, then paid again for the rovers one to get our commentary…..
  16. Got around to watching the Bradford Game. Plenty of negatives, been a long time since I seen someone have as bad a game as Chapman did, stunk the joint up big time. The only starter I thought played well was Buckley. He looked great as the 6 sitting in front of the defense, he can really showcase his passing range from there. Used some bite in the tackle too. That lad Gilisenan looks the bollocks by the way, and that’s the best Vale has looked in a while. In fact I’d start Vale, McBride and Gilsesnan against Leeds.
  17. Absolutely nailed on to go be a superstar at a similar sized club to us, Mowbrays treatment of him has been nothing short of abysmal. Has dropped him time and time again at the drop of a hat, he has burned all bridges with him. Would take a little magic out of the squad, even though we see it rarely. Do well to get 1.5m. Steal for someone.
  18. I agree that that things will come to a head this week on Armstrong. If they are up too 15m range plus player I don’t think it will take much more. 16m plus Obafemi is a sound deal if thats close. Would need to be 20m and Gray on loan if it’s Watford. Gives us enough cash to get a few loans in and maybe a real CB, no way Ayala js the answer.
  19. So by all accounts we had a huge wage bill last year and the end of a three year FFP cycle. If that was going for it, then we failed miserably. Surely some accountability and a fresh start for a new leader??
  20. Imagine being in a position where we can’t even afford to bring in free agents, after blowing 5.1m on Gallagher. Someone has ballsed this up big time, Waggott, Mowbray. Someone has to pay for this surely. Beyond a farce
  21. Just a complete shambles from top to bottom.
  22. Would be absolutely ideal Brereton Diedhou Obafemi
  23. Pears I would drive myself. McBride I will keep until the end of window minimum.
  24. It was a series of disasterous striker transactions. Davies was absolutely brutal.
