  1. It was the same at Ewood, we are afraid to attack their full backs, too quick.
  2. Oh god, Evans had to do something that didn’t involve easily passing it back to a teammate.
  3. Armstrong came out to the left once, and the reading right back shit a brick. I’d swap Ben and Arma
  4. I don’t think anyone but Rothwell has actually taken the ball past someone. We look easy to play against. Rothwell hit a world class ball to Nyambe over the top, and the ball ended up back in our own box. That’s just painful
  5. Duncan Ferguson would certainly be entertaining and charismatic. He would be all over the job IMO.
  6. Magloire at Motherwell is a decent level to be honest. He was great against Hibs at the weekend, and the midweek game. Think he will be in the squad next season
  7. Should of signed him instead of Gallagher, both going at the the same time. I dare say Joao would have been slightly cheaper.
  8. He would do a good job until a Woodrow, Hugill or a Miabou comes along and wins absolutely everything in the air against him. He is basically Magloire at Centre Half. Don’t see it as a reasonable fix unless against the right opposition, or maybe in a back 3. Your Centre halfs need to be good in the air, or maybe I’m just old fashioned. Nyambe lost every single aerial challenge on Sat against Miabou and was lucky McCallum got injured, as he was given him a hard time. I am huge Nyambe fan but he was terrible on Saturday defensively. Whats the style of play in the African Nations, direct punts up to a couple of 6’3 lummoxes? Guessing it will be more power and pace, like the Ivory Coast and Nigeria teams of old, where Nyambe would be brilliant in.
  9. I’m sure he has but JRC injury hasn’t helped, and the small problem of Nyambe being unable to beat anyone in the air.
  10. Callum Davidson just won the league cup with St Johnstone, amazing achievement. Get him on the shortlist too.
  11. Quick success with Huddersfield in this division with less resources than Venkys are providing. Best pals with Klopp, could lean on loans from Liverpool. Will keep the ganguepress style of play that we all enjoyed at the start of season. History of bringing though youngsters, Cat A academy. Sounds mental, but I would like a foreign coach to get a go. Well I think Tony is doing both jobs right now, so yeah you would need too.
  12. We must be the worst championship side in aerial duels won, yesterday was embarrassing. Nyambe, I was amazed to see folk thought he had a good game, didn’t head a ball all game, beaten time and time again.
  13. Fair enough Dolly, I still have some concerns that he might be running absolutely everything at the club, esp if he is working 7-7, certainly isn’t on tactics.
  14. It’s time for change. Nothing malicious, football managers have a life expectancy in the job, and can’t expect to be in a job for a long time without getting results. We aren’t getting results in year 4. The performances of the team haven’t been good enough and we are now looking more to the bottom than the top of the league. I thank Tony Mowbray for the job he has done, but Venkys are pumping money into the club and we still aren’t going anywhere under this manager, see Gallagher 5m. Letting Mowbray go is the thing to do now, gives us time to get the job posted and take our time sifting through the lots of applications I expect. We are the only club looking right now, and gives a new guy 10-12 games to have a proper look at the team before the summer. Armstrong, Nyambe and hopefully Dack will be off this summer I think, which will allow the new manager to make a raft of new signings, starting in defence, and hopefully employing a new style of play. Possibly could be Lampard in the Summer, with Johnson until the end of the season and Tony in a Director of Football role till the end of the season and potentially longer. I think Wagner would be favorite though for me.
  15. Douglas was absolutely horrific today. Like worse than Bell has ever been.
  16. Mowbrays job on the line, gaurenteed win, but it won’t be pretty
  17. Needs three points on Saturday, or it will be an organized resignation.
  18. Been sold an absolute Lemon in Douglas. Absolutely dreadful, slowest pro I’ve ever seen.
