  1. To be fair that’s a tough shift against Raphinha
  2. World class ball from Buckley
  3. I’d have Magloire and Carter ahead of Ayala on the depth chart
  4. I honestly think 3-5-2 is the way forward and would welcome the formation change, JRC, Nyambe and Pickering are all good wingback options. Where was it at Bradford though?
  5. The kit is pure filth though
  6. F*%# me back to exploring with Wing Backs out of the blue. Leeds commentary too, I paid for the livenow video thinking that was the Leeds commentary, then paid again for the rovers one to get our commentary…..
  7. Got around to watching the Bradford Game. Plenty of negatives, been a long time since I seen someone have as bad a game as Chapman did, stunk the joint up big time. The only starter I thought played well was Buckley. He looked great as the 6 sitting in front of the defense, he can really showcase his passing range from there. Used some bite in the tackle too. That lad Gilisenan looks the bollocks by the way, and that’s the best Vale has looked in a while. In fact I’d start Vale, McBride and Gilsesnan against Leeds.
  8. Absolutely nailed on to go be a superstar at a similar sized club to us, Mowbrays treatment of him has been nothing short of abysmal. Has dropped him time and time again at the drop of a hat, he has burned all bridges with him. Would take a little magic out of the squad, even though we see it rarely. Do well to get 1.5m. Steal for someone.
  9. I agree that that things will come to a head this week on Armstrong. If they are up too 15m range plus player I don’t think it will take much more. 16m plus Obafemi is a sound deal if thats close. Would need to be 20m and Gray on loan if it’s Watford. Gives us enough cash to get a few loans in and maybe a real CB, no way Ayala js the answer.
  10. So by all accounts we had a huge wage bill last year and the end of a three year FFP cycle. If that was going for it, then we failed miserably. Surely some accountability and a fresh start for a new leader??
  11. Imagine being in a position where we can’t even afford to bring in free agents, after blowing 5.1m on Gallagher. Someone has ballsed this up big time, Waggott, Mowbray. Someone has to pay for this surely. Beyond a farce
  12. Just a complete shambles from top to bottom.
  13. Would be absolutely ideal Brereton Diedhou Obafemi
  14. Pears I would drive myself. McBride I will keep until the end of window minimum.
  15. It was a series of disasterous striker transactions. Davies was absolutely brutal.
  16. I said Obafemi on loan and 14/15m would be a good deal over a week ago, but bugger it 14/15m and Obafemi on a permanent would be perfect. He has struggled for gametime at Saints and is also out contract next summer I believe. Would put him around 5m range. FM21 has him at 11k a week There is something in this. Would be perfect wide right of the three forwards.
  17. Yep. I prefer Travis and Rothwell as the two 8’s, and find a sitter that can pass the ball, don’t think Travis is anywhere near cute enough in tight spaces. Bomber for me, box to box. Bannan would be ideal for that role.
  18. Fair questions 1. If no one left and we got the four positions I pointed out I would expect mid table just outside the playoffs, but god knows in this league. I would imagine most teams would kill to have a front two of Ben and Arma. 2. Pickering is a massive upgrade by the sounds of things at LB. Nyambe will be better next year, Travis coming back and looking fit, Brereton is gaining confidence, JRC looking fit? God knows about Ayalas fitness. There are lots of other factors at play than just comparing on paper. The squad last year majorly underperformed and 15th was the floor of the possibilities, Mowbrays jacket should be on a shookly peg. Other clubs in around us are now in embargo, and who knows what some of the other clubs finances looks like. We have billionaire owners that just pump cash in when necessary. 3. Pickering, Reach and JRC in that order.
  19. Of all Mowbrays sins from last year, the biggest damnation was not finding any time for the youngsters in the four dead rubber games at the end of last year. McBride should have been played in every game. Just a disgraceful pursuit of self preservation.
  20. The worst player I’ve seen in a rovers shirt since Lowe, would rather have kept the 45 year old downing.
  21. Absolutely sick of the sight of Bradley Johnson
  22. You can pencil this out for now Kamy Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Pickering JRC Buckley Travis Rothwell Armstrong Brereton I think that is pretty strong, if a sensible person came in and tried to play a 4-4-2 I would be looking at a Centre Half, on loan, as I don’t trust Ayala or the kids, and frankly Lenihan goes through a spell every year when he looks like he has no idea what he is suppose to be doing. High hopes for Carter. Adam Reach can fill in either left back or left mid. Sensible signing. Centre Midfielder is a must, maybe two, sign like Johanson and then get Leshabela lad on loan. Like the look of the Hannibal kid at Man Utd too for a loan. Forwards I’m okay with for now. Would like to see McBride get plenty of time in preseason. So a CB on loan, Adam Reach, Stefan Johanson, CM on Loan. Thats all just before we sell anybody.
  23. Time for a new hobby, for those out there that cant get excited about the Rovers Return.
