  1. Norwich close to signing a striker from Werder Bremen no idea if that brings their interest in Armstrong to a close
  2. I think he will be a success in the Premier league and deserves a move up but don't see how he has an incredible CV?24 isn't that young either especially for a player whose pace is one of his biggest assets
  3. Yeah Derby.Nobody has said it is all to do with FFP ffs.Stop slagging off fellow supporters just because their views don't align with yours.
  4. Swansea signed Jamie Paterson from Bristol City he is available for tomorrow
  5. Same unless we get a sell on in the deal
  6. So you think Waggott and Cheston etc don't speak with the manager? I find it extremely far fetched that Mowbray wasnt aware of the financial situation before the summer? At the end of the day contract negotiations with players should have been happening a year to 18 months ago. Mowbray has also been in the media previously saying that new contracts were on the table for Nyambe and Armstrong. Our owners are absent and don't take much interest but if someone like wilder and a competent CEO had been in place we would not be in the situation we are in now.
  7. I'm sure Mowbray was in the media before the last season even finished that the budget had been agreed
  8. Mowbray was the one who recommended that Mulgrew,Bennett ,Evans ,Smallwood etc etc etc get improved lucrative deals, after a few month most hardly played. So yes Mowbray has had as big a part as anyone that we are in the situation we are in. It's not new what he says about not wanting loans,he says the same stuff every season
  9. Viera is in there now,Bought Olise a fine young player from Reading.Zaha has wanted out for two seasons but yet is still there and performing to a high level. Norwich like I have cashed in on their best player, and are likely to lose both Cantwell and Aarrons before deadline. Southampton and Palace are far more established in the premier league than Norwich currently
  10. I have never seen the lad play but my sister's fella is a city fan and he raves about him, very highly rated at City, and the grandson of two City legends
  11. Norwich lost Buendia their most creative players to Villa.Media speculation that Cantwell will be following him who is another creative player of theirs.Max Aarrons tipped for a move also. Palace and Southampton are established premier league clubs.Palace have Eze and Zaha two very creative players
  12. Success will be staying up next season,Mowbray could sign Messi and Ronaldo and we wouldn't touch the top 6 with him in charge. It's not a long term fix agreed, but I just want us to get through next season and still be in the league.Let the new man build his own squad as Mowbray is on borrowed time.
  13. Most teams in the league make loan signings. Swansea made the playoffs this year and year before and had quite a few younger loan players. If they are of the right quality which Tosin,Harwood Bellis and Elliott were then their age shouldn't be an issue. It's not my preferred route but we don't have a pot to piss in and the current manager should be gone not allowed to bring in permanent players
  14. Maybe the money will be used to get others signed up to new deals . It's a terrible situation, but there is absolutely no guarantee that Armstrong will be as prolific next season. In the short term we are obviously a way worse off without Armstrong but I really do not see how we can let him go for nothing in 12 months time when the books are telling us we need substantial cash brought in
  15. Do you want Mowbray spending it? I'm fairly sure he won't be here after this season.Id rather we kept our money until the following summer. IL be satisfied staying up next year even if by just a point. But we can't give Mowbray the funds to leave us with more ageing players who a new manager will struggle to get rid of. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but I once out of contract Mowbray will be gone as will Venus and Waggott
  16. That's the biggest issue with the club finances handing out contract extensions and handing out lucrative contracts to ageing and players with history of injury issues. We can't afford to give contracts that our assets will sign now because Mowbray decided to sign up the "men" in the dressing room. The amount of money wasted has been absolutely ridiculous
  17. Was Raya not sold the summer we bought Gallagher?
  18. How have we made a profit on player trading since 2019? Who did we sell?
  19. All this I agree with. Its the funding part I don't agree with you over and I do think the owners are willing to put money in.
  20. Whatever way you look at it , wages, signing on fees, transfer fees we are on the threshold of breaking ffp rules and we have had a healthy budget since our return to the championship. Mismanaged yes but money has been spent
  21. Why bother. Ffp isn't real and signing on fees shouldn't be included in transfer spend according to JHRover
  22. I give up your right and the accounts and everyone else is wrong ffs This is like your belief that the Venkys wouldn't allow defensive signings to be made.At the time on the match thread you would be criticising and blaming Mowbray for our defensive frailties and on the transfer thread you were saying that the owners don't allow money to be spent on the defence. The club is mismanaged but the level of finance being put into the club has been adequate
  23. Even if all that isn't true you can't say that we don't spend money when we clearly do. The owners have been putting in the max they are allowed to.According to you they brought Gallagher and Brererton in as they knew in a couple of years Armstrong's contract would be down to 1 year and we can sell below market value. One question Iv asked you ,you haven't answered is what do we do next summer if Armstrong stays this year?As much as you want to keep denying it we are on the threshold of breaking ffp rules and without a big sale could very well end up in an embargo next summer. So what's the plan for next summer if we stupidily let Armstrong leave for nothing?
