  1. How much of a wage js he on? I'm not convinced by him and being better than Hedges isn't big enough reason for me to sign him. Have you watched much of him?Having a good game against us doesn't make him the answer to our problems. The evidence is he loses his place at nearly every team, even Peterborough he spent time on their bench I also bet he will be on decent money wages wise, more money than the value he would bring to the 11
  2. Better at getting bums off seats with a few fancy turns But doesn't track back ,we wouldn't be as strong defensively We need better than.him and like I said he is such a dangerous player from an attacking point of view Oxford was the best he could do?
  3. Fair enough But the fact he spends a considerable time out of the first 11 at his clubs isn't a concern? His work ethic has been called out by managers aswell. He was available for a reasonable fee in the summer and ended up at newly promoted Oxford. We need better than him
  4. Being better than Hedges doesn't make him good enough Plus he will be double or triple what Hedges is being paid
  5. He had a good game against us. Is he a better option than a few of ours yeah, but is he a good player? No
  6. He had a good game against us.He has an occasional good game as does Dolan Every team he has been at he has spent a considerable time out of the first 11 that's a fact like Overrated cus he can take the ball past a man but he has hardly any end product
  7. Was he injured when he lost his place in relegation threatened Birmingham? No loss us not signing him
  8. So he should change his tactics to suit the players he has available
  9. Stuart Jones leaving according to Nixon
  10. If you have owners willing to invest sums that would tempt other clubs into selling their better players then you can get good players in early . But it isn't Waggotts or the recruitment teams fault that our budget will be so pitiful we will be relying on teams and players doing us favours by taking less money to get minutes here. Take the Bamford and Schlupp supposed interest if truth to it those players will be on contracts that far exceed what we pay our players, Bamford rumored to be on 70 grand a week and Schlupp is a Premier league player who cost Palace £11 million he will be on very good money.IF those are the players the manager has asked for and the club feel there is a chance of them happening then I suppose you have to try get his preferred players in Even Asante ,we could very well have a bid in but it won't be a bid so good Coventry will be pushing him out the door they will be taking a loss, why streghthen us before we play them Tuesday. Not saying any of those players would be my preferred targets but history tells us the budget won't be ambitious and the club will be relying on players taking wage reductions or clubs paying them off for us to get them in.Quick deals don't happen in those circumstances
  11. I think the decision to only offer 1 year deal for 30+ year old came from the owners and their advisors yes. Like I said Suhail hasn't always had such a prominent role, Steve Waggott wasn't always ceo,Gestede wasn't always in charge of recruitment but this happens every window regardless who the faces on the ground are. Even way back when Mowbray was in charge and they did actually spend some money it was still a disorganised mess.Like deciding so late in the day to spend, then decide to spend on a teenage striker, the decision coming so late in window we couldn't even get it done in time and we had to take him In the loan window initially Iv seen you mention about Waggott only requesting funding in November, wouldn't matter if it was the beginning of September or the 31st of December we would still be waiting for clarity from those clowns in India
  12. Suhail hasn't always had such a prominent role here. Venkys ownership has been shite from day one. Anyway I'm not having its all big bad Suhails fault.Suhail is on the ground here and would have been well aware of the terms of the Batth deal throughout, again it was an ownership decision as to why that deal didn't go through
  13. So why didn't Danny Batth get done the previous summer? I'm pretty sure it was due to the owners not signing off on a 2 year contract? Why no matter who is CEO, who is in recruitment, who is the manager do we have this carry on every window? And of course it was the people on the ground who went to the extraordinary lengths of setting up deals for McGuire and O'Brien to then make complete idiots of themselves by not getting deals done due to administration errors It's the fuckin owners mate
  14. Exactly their owners have given their blessing to spend/agree to such a fee. Our recruitment team are trying to cover multiple positions with at best a couple of million most probably. The budget will be pathetic and every decision will have to be run past them
  15. Do you honestly think Liverpool are selling Danns permanently? And if they where do you think we would have the money for him. Danns is a top rated youngster at Liverpool they will have absolutely no interest in selling him on a permanent deal, and if they did it would be many millions they be looking for
  16. We probably can't afford to pay a fee to take Sanderson permanently maybe it's one they will look at In the summer Forshaw yeah is underwhelming and on first glance a downgrade on Baker but il judge him on what he does with us not what he has done at Plymouth or his other clubs So I'd say we are stronger at the back with Sanderson to call upon rather than Mcfadz but weaker in midfield but we will see what Forshaw can bring It's in the forward areas where massive improvement needs to come not confident with some of the names being linked and if truth to Wallace and Bamford the remaining budget probably crap and hoping the players or clubs do us favours by taking less money or the clubs paying off some of their contracts
  17. Well he signed Sanderson for Birmingham for Cash after working with him at Qpr and then on loan at Birmingham He then made him captain at Birmingham As a most likely fourth choice centre back what where you expecting? As others have said him being part of a team that got relegated doesn't mean he is a bad player..Szmodic ...Brittain We need first choice players brought in up front I'd be underwhelmed with Bamford and Wallace, I don't think Wallace is a bad player but we need some speed in forward areas,Sanderson as a 4th choice centre back even 3rd isn't a bad signing
  18. Why isn't Sanderson a good signing of a 4th choice centre back? He has been brought in as cover.Do Hyam or Batth need to be out of the team?Is Carter going to be back in February? Nobody is saying he is going to fire us to promotion but as another option at the back then I don't see the problem? We need first team players in up front and I'm sorry but not many if any non parachute payment clubs have 4 top class centre backs in their squads. What where you expecting us to spend? who to bring in as potentially 4th choice and the overall budget we likely have. Eustace obviously rates him
  19. The owners ain't willing to spend ffs. What do you not understand about that? Am I happy that no...but its the reality .I'm not going to waste my time and dream that they are going to spend 2 or 3 million on a 4th choice centre back or 3rd choice midfielder. I'm more concerned they won't even all allow a couple of quality loans in the door in the forward areas because our top 6 ambitions rest in that area in our first 11 And anyway Eustace has worked with Sanderson at qpr, at Birmingham, bought him as a full time player with them, made him captain, and has now brought him here.I say 4th choice maybe Eustace feels he can get in the team and its on Sanderson we have actually signed.Seen nothing official over Forshaw
  20. Do you think it's easy with our owners and budget to find a midfielder who is happy to sit on the bench after 3 or 4 games cus that's what they would be doing ?Travis will be back soon If foreshaw or whoever else is signed for that position cab show more than Buckley then we are stronger Sanderson for me is better than Mcfadz makes us stronger The money if any needs To go on first choice attacking players, we should have more money to spend on the squad but the owners will not spend it
  21. If Foreshaw happens It won't inspire me either however unless your owners are willing to spend and compensate a lack of starts with money by giving better wages hard to see a midfielder who is intent on gametime coming in which also rules out loans for better prospects. It was always going to be hard to find better than Baker, Travis will probably miss another 4 games and then when he gets back In Forshaw or whoever else was signed will be a bench player. We also haven't signed Forshaw yet ,its come from Nixon who had no idea of Sanderson and was saying Hanley was still a target earlier yesterday
  22. For Eustace to make him captain suggests he likes him and its depth added, I will obviously be fuming if quality isn't added further forward and I'm not confident it will be but that doesn't make Sanderson a bad signing, I prefer him to say Hanley cheaper and there is no need to break up the Hyam and Batth partnership. We don't need to rush Carter back, maybe that's why he keeps picking up injuries because he is coming back too soon I wasn't fully sure on what they had spent on defence, I was being presumptuous but still Sanderson has a fair amount of games under his belt at championship level and if he was coming in because we needed someone to come into defence straight away I would have far more questions over it
  23. Probably because Birmingham went out and paid big money for centre halves Sanderson knows the league ,the manager knows him and potentially any centre half we brought in this January will be fourth choice when Carter regains full fitness The squad is stronger being able to call upon Sanderson rather than Mcfadz so in isolation its a good signing imo but we need money spent and first choicers brought in in the forward areas
