  1. And?We finished 7th as did Hull with him playing the majority of games. And like I said if he was terrible he wouldn't be on the Liverpool bench, Klopp wouldn't have given him starts ,Slot wouldn't have him on the bench and clubs from the championship wouldn't agree to such clauses if he was terribleb
  2. In your opinion , not in mine Imo he got way more flak here than he should have due to not being as good as Adam Wharton, and JDT playing him instead He was very good at Hull last season, Klopp ,Slot ,Rosenior and Jdt have all played him so il presume they agree with me.He isn't terrible
  3. If Morton was terrible he wouldn't have started the majority of games for us and Hull City when we both finished 7th If Morton was terrible he wouldn't be on the Liverpool bench
  4. The losses can't be as big as they once where its been cut back after cut back in the last 5 years . Like I say we are towards the bottom in terms of playing staff wage bill. We haven't paid over £1 million for a player in 2 years. We have made a transfer profit of £35 million in those 2 years You like to turn it on Waggott and Pasha, but before them it was Derek Shaw and Paul Agnew, before that yer man Paul Hunt. The owners want a box ticker and someone to shove the blame on.O'Brien and McGuire was down to the owners pulling the plug. A different owner would be demanding the club do more commercially .A different owner wouldn't be satisfied with the club seemingly only targetting sponsorship from the local area .A different owner would look to be more inventive with ticket pricing and get more bums on seats instead of playing in a half empty ground every home match . I'd just like an owner who actually took an interest in the club.
  5. What point where you trying to make then?
  6. Omg Your posts suggest without Venkys there would be nobody else to cover the losses. Kent exile replied a more savvy owner wouldn't be losing as much money and would have used parts of the Wharton and Szmodic fee to reinvest and bring in other assets that can be sold for profit down the line. Our owners don't do that though and it is 100% on them, not Waggott, not Pasha...the venkys !
  7. If we took on his wages from Stoke he would have been amongst our highest earners. Stoke wanted a transfer fee for him in thr summer so I'd personally be surprised if they let us have him without taking on his wage
  8. Like nearly every Championship club you mean?
  9. Every club in the championship loses money . Venkys don't need to be sending over £20 million to cover losses at all.We have a bottom 3 wage budget and we never spend on transfers. Yeah a savvy owner like say the Brentford owner used the transfer market to cover losses and move the club forward A savvy owner wouldn't bank 40+ million in sales and spend sweet fuck all. The point I'm making we don't have another Armstrong to sell , another Szmodic to sell is because our owners don't reinvest transfer money
  10. Yeah we don't have them because none of their transfer fees was reinvested. That's how idiotic our owners are We had Szmodic because on that occasion they allowed us to spend more than £1 million on a transfer fee Last 2 seasons have we gone above £1 million on a player?
  11. It's all over twitter now that West brom are in talks with a Dutch coach Hake who was at United Romano tweeted it initially I think
  12. But even if they have given a budget , every signing has to be run past them.Take Danny Batth for example,Jdt ,Broughton Waggott say yes to the deal. The owners then turn around and say no because it was 2 years he wanted and they would only sign off on a 1 year deal. The owners say yes or no .Waggott and Pasha are on the ground so they get the blame
  13. Or we have and the club have sent what they want to do in the window to the owners in India, and we now have to wait until the owners say yes or no when they get round to replying in 3 weeks time
  14. Its not even a guaranteed bond, it would only come into play if we got promoted the 6 or 7 million tiny in comparison to the riches on offer I'm agreeing I know they won't do it but the club should definitely be questioned as to why the club were adamant the owners had signed off on such a deal in January 23 when they apparently agreed to pay Nottingham Forest £10 million for Lewis O'Brien if we got promoted, but yet this January won't explore similar deals. With the money received over the last 2 years we should be in a position to pay decent fees for players but failing that at least explore ways of getting much better quality in by offering loans to buy upon promotion and paying a decent loan fee I mean what is their long term plan here. You can't keep on getting into decent positions and then just letting it pass you by,and the level of spending will only lead one way eventually and that is league one. I'd say more than any other season in a while promotion is there for the taking by an unfancied club, the top 3 ain't as good as seasons gone by,top two is gone but 5th and 6th is up for grabs and anything can happen in the play offs
  15. Why aren't we in the same league financially as Sheffield Wednesday?Surely Stoke can't pay a permanent transfer fee without getting into bother with ffp with all the money they have spent and no big sales? I know we won't be in for him but we should be.We have plenty of room with Ffp have made a transfer profit of 35+ million over the last 2 seasons . What is stopping us from offering more money than Stoke are now and agreeing to pay the money Leicester want if we get promoted. The thing stopping us is our useless owners and their lack of ambition. It wasn't so long ago they paid out a similar fee on Brereton who barely made a start in his first 12 months. P.S the club would have us believe that the owners signed off on a similar deal when they agreed to O' Brien only coming here and that was before bringing in millions from player sales
  16. Hedges at this point fair enough but if Dolan doesn't sign a new contract here he will have offers in the championship and he would be starting for some clubs I'm obviously not saying both are brilliant but the championship is littered with players of equal or less ability .
  17. Nixon wrote about it on Sunday It wasn't a story about Luton and Sheffield Wednesday buying him outright, it was to offer Leicester more money to take over the loan deal. How would Sheffield Wednesday have the £6+ million to take him permanently?Luton do most likely have that money, but no evidence to say they are willing to spend that sort of money? They could have done in the summer
  18. Dolan does start for some other championship clubs . Dolan started plenty of matches when we finished 8th in the league,Hedges and Dolan started plenty of matches when we finished 7th in the league. Hedges and Dolan have started plenty of games this season when we are 7th in the league
  19. Offer them a loan to buy if promotion happens.Leicester won't Care if Stoke are unhappy. There season is going nowhere. He is going to be sold in the summer by Leicester anyway
  20. If the club had any ambition they would go to Leicester City and offer them more money than Stoke City are paying for Cannon. Stoke are going nowhere so Cannon could very well be tempted to join a club with a chance of at least making the playoffs
  21. Toth should start Batth and Tronstad should be rested Apart from that play the strongest 11 we can
  22. He had a falling out with their manager according to the media
  23. Yeah his career went wayward when he joined Forest and then they went on to sign loads of other players. It was the wrong career move he should have gone to Leeds when Biesla was mad for him. He isn't the same player as the one who left Huddersfield, when he was probably the best midfielder in the division
  24. He didnt tear it up when he was at Boro on loan
  25. Schlupp is training with a Premier league squad and on the bench for them and has gotten some minutes, he will be fit Cabn play left back ,centre mid ,left wing I'd agree he isn't the answer in terms of goals but he isn't slow, he still has pace that will hurt defences at this level. For me he would be a very good loan signing and I can see why Eustace would want him
