  1. What difference would it make ti Waggott? He's not going to quit and venkys won't sack him. Yeah can't wait for Mr work experience Rudy to take over or maybe they will aim higher and bring Derek Shaw back
  2. Whilst we wait for the scraps nobody else wants on deadline day
  3. Or leave other players that ain't good enough out of the squad Like for example Forshaw, right fair enough a cheap signing who we could get that would be brought on to see out games etc or if he proved himself to be better than Buckley then fill in for Travis But with both first choice midfielders out a club set on promotion would invest in that area on better quality and leave forshaw out or look to loan or sell Buckley. Eustace doesn't see JRC as a central midfielder and if he is going to favour Sanderson or Carter at rb when Brittain is out/ need a rest then Jrc could be loaned/sold not given a space in squad if the club had ambition and where willing to spend a little money on putting together a squad that can sustain the good start of the season
  4. Time to ramp up the pressure on the owners and direct any banners...chants...protests towards them Waggott would just be replaced by another person of similar ilk
  5. Boro in for Travers and Whittaker according to sky and Nixon
  6. He's been discussed multiple times on here Apparently was close to a loan here on deadline day but Fulham didn't sign a player so kept him
  7. OK but it isn't for me Plenty of managers get it wrong over a player
  8. Yeah but at least he was captain and started in this league regularly and in centre back terms is fairly young , and in fairness our defence hasn't been an issue this season We need a first choice winger, and Dembele wouldn't be a good signing for me.Certainly not a player to be "gutted" about not signing like some on here are
  9. It's relevant in the fact Dembele was available for a reasonable fee but no established championship club took him. I don't know maybe it was the fact he couldn't get his place in a team relegated last season that put them off. Or maybe it was Mowbrays words about him not tracking back that put them off Just isn't a player worth being disappointed over not signing him imo
  10. He was probably on 20k+ at Brum His career stats certainly don't suggest he is worthy of that contract. I suppose its a sign of where Venkys have taken us that people are acting distraught that we didn't sign him in the summer, and such a talent ended up at newly promoted Oxford instead
  11. Wonder what the club have decided now with the running of the academy to make Jones seek a new club
  12. How much of a wage js he on? I'm not convinced by him and being better than Hedges isn't big enough reason for me to sign him. Have you watched much of him?Having a good game against us doesn't make him the answer to our problems. The evidence is he loses his place at nearly every team, even Peterborough he spent time on their bench I also bet he will be on decent money wages wise, more money than the value he would bring to the 11
  13. Better at getting bums off seats with a few fancy turns But doesn't track back ,we wouldn't be as strong defensively We need better than.him and like I said he is such a dangerous player from an attacking point of view Oxford was the best he could do?
  14. Fair enough But the fact he spends a considerable time out of the first 11 at his clubs isn't a concern? His work ethic has been called out by managers aswell. He was available for a reasonable fee in the summer and ended up at newly promoted Oxford. We need better than him
  15. Being better than Hedges doesn't make him good enough Plus he will be double or triple what Hedges is being paid
  16. He had a good game against us. Is he a better option than a few of ours yeah, but is he a good player? No
  17. He had a good game against us.He has an occasional good game as does Dolan Every team he has been at he has spent a considerable time out of the first 11 that's a fact like Overrated cus he can take the ball past a man but he has hardly any end product
  18. Was he injured when he lost his place in relegation threatened Birmingham? No loss us not signing him
  19. So he should change his tactics to suit the players he has available
  20. Stuart Jones leaving according to Nixon
  21. If you have owners willing to invest sums that would tempt other clubs into selling their better players then you can get good players in early . But it isn't Waggotts or the recruitment teams fault that our budget will be so pitiful we will be relying on teams and players doing us favours by taking less money to get minutes here. Take the Bamford and Schlupp supposed interest if truth to it those players will be on contracts that far exceed what we pay our players, Bamford rumored to be on 70 grand a week and Schlupp is a Premier league player who cost Palace £11 million he will be on very good money.IF those are the players the manager has asked for and the club feel there is a chance of them happening then I suppose you have to try get his preferred players in Even Asante ,we could very well have a bid in but it won't be a bid so good Coventry will be pushing him out the door they will be taking a loss, why streghthen us before we play them Tuesday. Not saying any of those players would be my preferred targets but history tells us the budget won't be ambitious and the club will be relying on players taking wage reductions or clubs paying them off for us to get them in.Quick deals don't happen in those circumstances
  22. I think the decision to only offer 1 year deal for 30+ year old came from the owners and their advisors yes. Like I said Suhail hasn't always had such a prominent role, Steve Waggott wasn't always ceo,Gestede wasn't always in charge of recruitment but this happens every window regardless who the faces on the ground are. Even way back when Mowbray was in charge and they did actually spend some money it was still a disorganised mess.Like deciding so late in the day to spend, then decide to spend on a teenage striker, the decision coming so late in window we couldn't even get it done in time and we had to take him In the loan window initially Iv seen you mention about Waggott only requesting funding in November, wouldn't matter if it was the beginning of September or the 31st of December we would still be waiting for clarity from those clowns in India
  23. Suhail hasn't always had such a prominent role here. Venkys ownership has been shite from day one. Anyway I'm not having its all big bad Suhails fault.Suhail is on the ground here and would have been well aware of the terms of the Batth deal throughout, again it was an ownership decision as to why that deal didn't go through
  24. So why didn't Danny Batth get done the previous summer? I'm pretty sure it was due to the owners not signing off on a 2 year contract? Why no matter who is CEO, who is in recruitment, who is the manager do we have this carry on every window? And of course it was the people on the ground who went to the extraordinary lengths of setting up deals for McGuire and O'Brien to then make complete idiots of themselves by not getting deals done due to administration errors It's the fuckin owners mate
