  1. Not assed so.Would have been worth a punt on a permanent if the fee reasonable but as a loan blades welcome to him
  2. Yeah but the window is still open and we still have a team capable of winning matches at this level. Surely the time to call out the club on the window is when it is over. Not guess we won't be bringing in any players because we haven't yet . Most the names we been linked with recently Styles, Bowler , Brannigan, Van Hecke and the lad from Peterborough haven't gone anywhere yet
  3. In January we had a manager who was sulking and reportedly turned down a few players. JDT and Broughton will want players.Repeating myself but Brittain confirmed his deal was a couple of weeks in the making.Whose to say we ain't far along with others?
  4. He won't start at the weekend. Be Brittain Ayala Wharton Pickering. I think your seriously overrating other championship squads, you will find on par or worse than Carter on most of them. Oh and at least one centre half will be signed
  5. In fairness you also said Brererton would end up in the lower leagues and Buckley would end up the same. One player you were actually right on is Whiteman iv been impressed with him in the main, still tho Buckley did have him on a bit of string when we played them last season .
  6. He isn't a RB .Jota would run rings round most this division if he was playing in it.
  7. Yeah but for the championship market to really get going it often takes the premier league clubs getting back from their pre season and releasing the players they are going to loan from the season or deciding what players are made available from transfer. Not saying we are in for him but hypothetically we want Bowler from Blackpool. We had talks and agreed terms but they won't let him out until the young player they are replacing him with can arrive on loan. There have been a few deals iv looked at and thought they would be good signings but not many tbh. None of us have a clue what is going on that's why I take issue with some of the things said(not from you) like "Broughton doesn't have any contacts over here" "its obvious we are just waiting for the prem kids on loan". Nothing is obvious with these clowns owning us.People trying to pass off their theories as fact when they have as much an idea as the rest of us what the owners are likely to do. Looking at it logically and from what JDT has said he definitely believes money is available so at this point I don't think it will be "definitely kids on loan again and no money spent"
  8. Yeah and if we end the window and we haven't improved the squad I will be critical. My point is it's draining reading the same stuff everyday usually by the same people who pass their theories off as fact. To me it is quite evident there is SOME money to bring players in. There could be any number of reasons why it hasnt happened...it may not be incompetence at our end it may just be that we are down the line with players but have to wait on their clubs getting a replacement in. First mention of Brittain in press and 24 hours later it was confirmed a deal that was in the making a cpl of weeks and nobody had a clue about it.Things will be bubbling away. Il be clear though playing the waiting game then I expect some quality to be brought in and a mixture of permanent and loans. If we end up with just kids on loan or cheap never been tested at this level league one players on permanents then I will be critical.
  9. Yeah I am mildly disappointed but some of the things being said are hyperbole in my opinion.I also appreciate it isn't easy to bring in quality players. Our options as it stands ain't awful. Is the squad as it stands promotion material? No.But it is a squad capable of picking up results and am I fearful of playing QPR on Saturday with Brittain the only signing? No. Lot of weak teams in this division again and we are far from being the weakest
  10. I agree with you but why is it you only post about this side. Why is it I never see you quoting someone who is calling another poster a happy clapper because they have a more positive mindset and believe the club will bring in players?
  11. It's also an opinion that it isn't strong enough and that we are in trouble if we wait till closer to deadline to do the majority of our business
  12. Yeah but often to get quality without an open cheque book it's a waiting game.It isn't ideal like I said but it's the way it is. Look at Boro, many on here waxing lyrical because they brought in Lenihen early (look at Boro, that's how you get things done)...they just received 12 million for Spence but are still having to play a waiting game to replace their attackers from last season. Until the window is closed its pure guesswork what we will or won't do in this window.I prefer to criticize or praise after the event not decide I know better and criticize when I have no idea how far along we are with deals.
  13. Boro fans must be shitting it as they don't have a striker. I'd say you are severely underrating our squad and overrating the rest of the championship. Like someone said Cardiff signed 12 players ,only maybe Sawyers out of that 12 would get in our starting line and I actually don't think he would get in ahead of Travis or Buckley. The squad is capable of winning matches and signings will be made.
  14. I'm not the one making the statements ",not good enough for Hibs", "turned down for Johnson" If I was making such statements I'd have a bit of evidence to prove it bar JDT'S name being loosely linked with the Hibs job when it was available So exactly nobody knows which was my point.
  15. Prove it?You have not one shred of evidence that JDT was overlooked for Johnson.
  16. ????.He had talks with Hibs?Maybe his wages were too much?Maybe after initial talks JDT didn't want to pursue the Hibs job? You have no idea
  17. Same thing was being at this stage last season. Squad as it stands capable of picking up results.Signings will happen
  18. Nixon saying he was signing a new deal at Brighton before joining Sheff United on loan.Where have you seen permanent?
  19. Because players will come in. It's not ideal 100% agree with that but the players we have are capable of winning matches .No additions before the weekend and il still confident we will beat QPR. Unless we think we are going to suffer an injury crisis pre deadline then for me the squad can still pick up results. It's clear there is some money to spend on permanent deals
  20. Or we are waiting on teams getting a prem loan before they will let a player out. It's clear there is money in the kitty. We have at least one other cash bid confirmed by Barry Fry
  21. 16 million according to reports and I although crazy I wouldn't disbelieve it as they signed an 18 year old with no first team appearance from city for 14
  22. Yeah but in that scenario have to be confident another player can be sold for a significant fee next summer or we won't be able to spend next year. Like it or lump it FfP is here and if we do healthy business this summer and forget about selling Brererton this summer then going forward we would have to cash in on an asset to continue building going forward
  23. Yeah posted that Saturday night he is a Turkish international aswell
