  1. He scored 16 goals and assisted 5 last season. He isn't worth the money that's being talked about but he isn't shit mate
  2. Their manager has said transfer speculation Is affecting him and gave it as a reason why he had been left out of late
  3. I know yeah it's not as if they have ever spent biggish money on a forward before
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/august/28/dom-s-deal-delight-/ Suppose he wouldn't really say anything else but sounds positive enough about the move according to this
  5. Except for when Mowbray was appointed here ....it was very soon after Coyle went
  6. Cutrone going or gone to Como. Parrot is at Preston this season. Archer only being let out on loan if Villa sign a striker
  7. Is Hyam not as good as done? So would leave 1 from Van Den Berg or Van Hecke?
  8. You are forgetting Hyam which is practically a done deal. So must be him and one other. Id choose Van Den Berg due to him having experience playing rb.
  9. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20799693.coventry-city-boss-praises-blackburn-rovers-bound-dominic-hyam/ Robins gutted over losing Hyam
  10. Lampard seemed pretty confident that Anthony Gordon staying there. If that's the case you would expect they are out of the running for Brererton
  11. Brererton has played a handful of games as a CF .His goals have come from his usual position left of a 3
  12. Yeah but Brererton on low wages so yes hopefully some of that money will go on a goalscorer. We still can't be running a squad with 20-25 or similar quality and wages with our turnover the way it is. Of course the club need to be doing more to drive income up but as it stands the Wage bill needs to remain reasonable.
  13. When we were second in the league and if we had sold Rothwell I can nearly guarantee you would have been on here going mad at the club for "cashing in" to a direct rival with our best chance of promotion in years . I'm of the opinion money was available last January it just wasn't spent. When we bought Brererton, Gallagher, Armstrong and all the other players brought in during Mowbrays reign what paid for them? So far this summer money spent on Brittain and Szmodic for more than the million quid you reckon. Also agreed a fee for Hyam suggestions could be £2.5 million. So money is being spent and no we can't afford to run a 20-25 man squad of players of similar quality
  14. We have Dack and Szmodic for the role Buckley played last season. And Hedges is playing a role this season he didn't last season. Iv said myself would prefer more than another 3 in but if we don't get them don't think it is a total disaster like seems to be suggested. We have hardly any external income we can't afford to carry a squad of 20-25 with players of similar quality .
  15. And? Boro's record in the transfer market is impeccable is it? Not sure what point your trying to make? Boro signing Clarke doesn't mean he is a better player than Hyam
  16. No but the fact spurs wanted him to sign a new contract and that he was being involved with the first team suggests he has something about him
  17. Don't know iv already said iv rarely seen Hyam.Have you seen much of him? Matt Clarke will be on a lot more money than Hyam coming from a premier league club that has to be factored in aswell. Comparing him with Hyam as they play same position.
  18. Why can't Markanday and Hedges be included? They didn't play hardly.Hedges has contributed more in 3 matches this season than he did between signing and the end of last season.Markanday got injured and was only available for a couple of matches. I personally don't feel we are stronger than last season yet but we ain't in as bad a shape as some are making out. Last summer the same conversations were taking place.."the squad isn't as strong as the year before" "relegation battle to look forward too" yet that squad finished 7 places above the squad from the previous season
  19. Yeah but we are still making cash signings. I know you refute the £2.5 million on Szmodic but that is what is suggested if the clauses in the deal are met. He will be 27 in September and 30+ by the time his contract ends. Not really a signing with future profit in mind. Similar with Hyam(if the deal goes through) he will 27 in December.By time contract ends 30/31 so again future profit doesn't look like being taken into consideration and strengthen the squad for the here and now. Both players coming into their prime
  20. He isn't in the squad according to lancs live.He will be traveling to discuss personal terms and a medical
  21. Hyam not with Coventry today.Fee been agreed
  22. Markanday and Hedges were rarely used last season.Hedges has started the season well, Markanday has it to prove.Still two options we didn't really call upon last year. Buckley now playing in the role he played when underage and his attributes SHOULD be better suited to that position. Brittain replaced Nyambe. Szmodic and Dack two players we couldn't call upon last season both have goals in them. Fee agreed for Hyam. Morton highly rated at Liverpool, but of course yet to prove himself. We also have some exciting prospects that can play a part this season We need a few more in but we ain't in terrible shape
  23. Yes Callum Brittain from Barnsley Media including Sharpe reckons it was £1 million with clauses leading to £1.5 And the Peterborough lad a deal rising to £2.5 million Morton loaned from Liverpool Hyam from Coventry fee agreed, media suggesting 2.5 million
