  1. That run of fixtures fills me with dread and emphasises the desperate need for a minimum 4 point from these two home fixtures. Until yesterday, I have been relatively happy with a few of the performances, Hull, Ipswich and Watford especially and also thought we were ok against Norwich and B’ham. However, aside from the Hull match which was a real outlier, the concern is that we are just not creating any real chances. As well as we competed against Ipswich, we didn’t look like scoring until the penalty and aside from a lucky one against Hull, Yuki has hardly had a sniff of goal and that is a real worry ! If this run of fixtures goes as badly as I fear it could, fragile confidence and morale would disintegrate and we would then be looking at a real relegation battle.
  2. Well, the transfer window might be closed but one thing this club desperately needs is to sign up a competent CEO.
  3. I’m not suggesting that they have maliciously favoured one club or made a decision to appease a certain manager. They have simply made a decision that is clearly wrong to all that would support the only outcome that would be fair to both teams, and all teams competing in the EFL Championship this season.
  4. There is no comparable. They have ultimate flexibility to consider circumstances and they should be prioritising fairness and transparency. The decision and EFL have been found sadly lacking.
  5. Yes, we are not what we were as a result of the Indians and the fact that our fan base, infrastructure and spirit has been decimated by 16 years of neglect. However, I refuse to believe that Ipswich Town are a bigger club.
  6. Frankly, the EFL decision is an absolute scandal. This decision should not be about finance or logistics or precedent, just about transparency and fairness and only restarting the game and playing it out from the point of abandonment satisfies that criteria.
  7. Of course we would want a full replay but I don’t think anyone with any common sense or decency would be disappointed if the game was restarted and finished from the salient point of abandonment. The only sensible and equitable solution but one ignored by the EFL, fucking ridiculous.
  8. Then play the last 10 minutes and stoppage time out, 11 v 10 and the resultant outcome removes any uncertainty.
  9. Or perhaps when George Courtney cut the match short because Palace fans were on the pitch side on the fateful day in May 1989. Replay in full and Rovers going up.
  10. Anyone listened to the latest Arte et Labore pod, couple of Jokers ! Both agree only fair outcome is restart from 80 minutes but because of logistics / finance decided that won’t happen and so only fair solution is a replay. What the hell has logistics and cost got to do with a fair and equitable solution !
  11. Certainly not how it has always been, the 75+ minute and result stands was previously in the rule book. If it was all square and 11 vs 11 of course no one would be against a replay, think your totally missing the point !
  12. The rules don’t indicate that, they give the EFL full flexibility to award the points, replay in full or part. Sadly, I know what my money is on and that simply isn’t fair, the only equitable decision would be take the match and complete from the point that it was abandoned.
  13. We were told that was the case but of course, smug old Kieran has had his stay. Transparently trying to say it should have been called off a lot earlier, no doubt before the sending off and the penalty. Twat
  14. Not my recollection, we were going well and a really strong and vociferous following that wintry day. Remember it well as I travelled with the old Ribble Valley blues coach from Whalley.
  15. He is a smug twat. When we were robbed last time they were at Ewood in the promotion year, and was totally ungracious. Today, he was in the ref’s ear and then taking his entire team and back room staff on to pitch to ‘celebrate’ before an announcement was made in the stadium, just shameless and embarrassing.
  16. Remember that one well, every one was in the bogs at half time, freezing. I think Garner got both but might be wrong.
  17. Thanks for that, rang the ticket office when it opened and they put me right in line with your advice above. They said having problem with automatic updating with IPhones, a bit of a problem when vast majority will have IPhones, could be chaos ! That is an hour and a half that I won’t get back 😂
  18. I’ve now spent a further 45 minutes and got a little further and managed to actually get to the E-ticket but it won’t download to my Apple wallet by Safari, Edge, Google Chrome or Duck Duck Go. Just glad I kept the plastic card 😮‍💨
  19. Struggling to download my ticket for tomorrow. Last match just got a notification and link through and ended up in my Apple wallet but this time going into ticket management and doesn’t seem to be a download option, only forward to friend !
  20. True to some extent but if they hadn’t pulled the plug on deadline day transfers and then slashed the budget, we would have made it, even with Broughton in role.
  21. When we signed him, my Newport County supporting pal gave me a call and said we had got a real player. He had seen him play a couple of times against County and said he stood out as really good CH. He hasn’t been given a chance yet at Ewood but neither Carter or Wharton seem resilient or consistent performers at Championship level.
  22. Had anything at all been said as to when Baradji is likely to be on the pitch 🤷‍♂️
  23. And conceded 3 goals at home, in 90 + injury time.
