v Wrexham (h) - 1/1/26

Just the regular Ewood experience then, funereal atmosphere, a defeat and still no message or demands from the apathetic and downtrodden remnant of a once proud and passionate home support. In the 70’s and 80’s and during the Kean years, the Board and Manager would be left in no doubt that such shit is not acceptable to Blackburn Rovers fans. -

I’ve been going for over 50 years and had a ST for well over 40. I will continue to go, albeit there is no joy or enthusiasm left, but I won’t attend against Watford and will support any boycott called. If it fails, at least some of us have at least tried to find a way to save our club ! -

We are a beaten fan base. We are literally on our knees after 15 years of attrition and with the remaining loyal of barely 7,000 containing a good number seemingly afflicted with Stockholm syndrome and unable to fight back even when the point of no return is fast approaching. I love my club but being a Blackburn Rovers fan is becoming embarrassing 😞 -

Wrexham were decent and were without Moore, Broadhead and Windass and won’t earn an easier 3 points all season. -

I suggested that Joseph be on bench a few matches back but obviously the Manager didn’t take my suggestion up ! -

Good post that. I was hoping that we might win last night but I certainly wasn’t expecting to and in all honesty, i really thought we might lose it, would have been absolutely typical Rovers of recent years. -

Because we have literally no goal scoring threat and need to win the next match, he needs a plan B and I just think he doesn’t have many options. -

Ishmael has made his point and unless Big Mak is close to a move that will deliver some cash or even get him off the wage bill, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start against Hollywood FC. -

Three attributes the recruitment team were to focus on were physicality, pace and athleticism. For my money, we are still sorely missing in all three facets and especially, some genuine pace throughout the team. I would say that both Hedges and Ryan A have some pace but the rest are just far too slow and pace up front is just non existent and urgently needs addressing if we are to stay up this season. -

As I said this morning Chaddy, we were never winning that 0 3. In all honesty, given we have such an abysmal record against poor teams on horrendous runs, I am just relieved that we didn’t get beat. -

Just where has that Yuki Ohashi gone that looked a composed finisher ! Coming off the bench against Derby to score on his debut, he looked to have what it takes but he has missed an absolute shed load of really good chances this season. Love his effort but this season, his finishing has been absolutely woeful ! -

I think that is highly unlikely, I would take 4 points from the next two games. -

Everybody on this Board knows that, Jim 🙈 I am fearing the worst but hoping for the best but good on you for turning out. -
Harry Berry, life long Rovers fan, author and club historian, spot on here ! No one wants to boycott but we all want our club to survive and we should send a clear and united message by a no show at the Watford fixture.

I think not doing the maths with Ash Phillips cost them money and the player. -

I fear you will be pretty accurate with that, it does seem like our history against struggling clubs for a long time now. -

Simply no comparison, Tronstad is a far better player than Travis. I liked Lewis as a committed player and someone who came through the ranks but he was extremely limited as a player. -

I love him, he works like an absolute Trojan for the shirt and leaves it all out on the pitch. However, no getting away from it, his finishing this season has been absolutely woeful, he has missed a lot of very presentable chances, most especially when time to think. -

I wish he didn’t miss gilt edge chances as well. That effort was truly woeful, he went from having a clean run on goal to putting it on his weaker foot and then trying to shoot from distance, shocking ! -

Very harsh on Harry but I don’t think anyone could argue that Hedges deserves his place at LWB, been really good this season. I imagine that he has gone for Pratt rather than Harry for the height. How long before we start seeing Joseph on the bench, probably would offer more than Gueye. -
Certainly nothing special about Hull City, I believe where he came from or Sheffield United, knobhead !

Well short of the 5,000 we took up to the old Ayresome Park on Boxing Day 1987. I think Boro, with Mowbray and Pallister, were top of the league and went on to get promoted via the play offs. We were 23 or something unbeaten with Steve Archibald up front. Garner and Bernie ‘the wolf man’ Slaven scoring in a 1-1 draw. It was certainly a rough old encounter, especially off the pitch, supporter bus windows being bricked and they attempted to turn our tranny van over, those were the days 😊 -
Best birthday present for your lad would be to take part in the boycott, knowing he played a part in saving his club.

Just tuned in to see whether Ryan was playing but on bench. Up front is Akor Adams, the big ghost signing of a few years past as announced by Mercer 😞
