  1. Just venting to my Ipswich Town pal today and he says I reckon you should all just boycott for say, 4 matches to get your idiot owners to listen ! I said, I couldn’t agree more but we are down to the hard core and there are just too many who won’t entertain it, despite the wanton destruction of their club.
  2. I also think that with the pausity of what we can field up front, he might also be better suited going down the middle with more space and pace more of a threat.
  3. I am going to struggle to add anything more to what has been posted already, last night was simply woeful ! The only positives for me were that Tavares looked like a decent player, Wharton and Miller were combative and Cantwell was clearly a class above anyone else when he finally took to the pitch. Having also been at the Hawthorns on Saturday, the real concern is where will the goals come from, there is just no creativity or goal threat. Gueye and Kargbo look beyond poor and I like Yuki but he will be very lucky to match last year’s goals number, too slow and totally unable to play a lone striker role. The other major concern is the team morale, with Travis wanting out and Tronstad playing like he also wants out, I imagine the team spirit is literally pouring away. Final concern is that Arbitro seems to have given up on posting his post match reports and analysis, which I always look forward to reading. Might have missed it but didn’t see anything from him for the Baggies match and nothing as yet for last night’s fiasco. If Tony has given up, we really are going to hell in a handcart, and very quickly.
  4. Average on the vast majority of appearances, sometimes downright poor.
  5. Sums up the incompetence at the football club. Similar to what cost them a lot of money on Ash Phillips, as I understand it, a few more games and contract extension or higher exit clause.
  6. Yep, was at Bloomfield Road, you could tell he was different gravy.
  7. He’s at best, a very average Championship player. If there is a team prepared to pay him that coin, I would be amazed and they must be absolutely mad.
  8. He might even end up down the middle as yet. Pace and a bit of power is what defenders hate and he at least has that, whereas Yuki is a penalty box poacher who is a willing worker but slow and can’t hold the play up. Dated I know but a little and large alongside Big Mak, but to be effective the latter needs to improve massively and start winning headers and improving his holding up and use of ball.
  9. That would be more than a plan than we deployed. Simply nothing going forward, zero creativity and no chances created. Yuki is far too slow and lack the strength and ability to be a loan striker and Big Mak just doesn’t ever look like scoring goals and yet, we seem to have no plan to add to strikers. If you don’t score goals, we won’t win football matches.
  10. Yuki can’t play up top alone, far too slow and hasn’t got the strength or ability to hold up.
  11. Right behind you Glen, we all know it isn’t going away until Pasha / Gestede are removed and ultimately, the Venkys flag is lowered from Ewood / Brockhall. Only then, will we have any chance of reclaiming our club and the birth right of being able follow a normal football club. Heading to the Hawthorns but this post has already put a dampener on the day.
  12. To be fair he did, exactly same spot, keeper goes the right way and could have thrown his cap on it !
  13. I admire how you always come across as so cheerful, despite the heartbreak of following our once proud club. I would find it impossible to come across with such a cheery disposition when opining on the sad state of affairs at my club.
  14. I’m not keen on Travis leaving, purely because it is just further evidence of our club being dismantled, assets being sold and replaced by Poundland signings. From a purely football perspective, I’ve never thought he is much of a player, very limited ability wise.
  15. Possible that I am wrong but my recollection is that he said that he had the makings of a £10m player. He signed a 5 year contract in 2022 before the budget cuts and they were securing an asset that they believed had EPL potential, I don’t think he will be on much less that £750k a year.
  16. He was dubbed a £10m player by Mowbray and the club were really keen to secure him on a 5 year deal. No way that he is on less than £12k, my guess is circa £15k.
  17. I don’t rate Pears and Buckley has done nothing but gone backwards for the last 3 / 4 years. The thing that is fairly certain is that they are both towards the very top of the pay scale !
  18. Nice free kick. I’ll be honest, I can’t remember the last time we scored a goal direct from a free kick, rare as rocking horse shit for Rovers, just like coming from behind and last minute / injury time winners.
  19. The defending is so poor, unbelievably woeful !
  20. Trav should have scored there, can’t afford to give chances up like that from next Saturday.
  21. We look all over the place at the back. Bruno looking slower than I remember and really not sure that he is any better that Harry P.
