  1. I definitely believe the reported £10k per week budget salary cap. I imagine they will currently work on an average over the squad but their desire would be to get the higher earners down to that sort of level and hence why no senior players renew contracts. However, a ‘big’ money signing on a multi year contract at £5k a week, I don’t believe that at all, in those circumstances, no sane player and perhaps, more importantly, Agent would sign up on those terms.
  2. Just look at the Rovers Ladies team 😡🙈
  3. He was meant to be our big splurge signing at reportedly £1m+ and signing up for 3+ years. Seriously, given the background, if you are player or agent would you be signing up in the Championship at £5k a week, in my opinion, more nonsense.
  4. If he was any good, he would have made the breakthrough into our first team, irrespective of his contract situation. My bet is that if he makes a move to a big club, he will never get a game in their first team. Notwithstanding that, the contract will no doubt set him up for life and so not sure that we can blame him, more especially given current state of our club !
  5. Great post, I agree with the message wholeheartedly.
  6. It is a fact that we tend to associate with like minded people ! I’ve asked a lot of friends and they all see the bigger picture and are prepared to make the sacrifice of missing a game in an effort to save our club.
  7. Up there with my favourite players of all time and certainly the one who captured the imagination during my very earliest visits to Ewood. God bless Tony Field, RIP
  8. It is indeed, no excuses for his propaganda and rhetoric. Advised by someone I trust, that he is an odious attention seeker.
  9. I’m glad JB beat me to a reasoned response to this Venky supporting propaganda. What chance has our club got with goons like this telling everyone that we should be grateful to exist, never a clearer case of Stockholm syndrome !
  10. Great post, how I feel about it too. This shouldn’t be a personal choice but about the greater good, about saving an institution that is our club.
  11. Just the regular Ewood experience then, funereal atmosphere, a defeat and still no message or demands from the apathetic and downtrodden remnant of a once proud and passionate home support. In the 70’s and 80’s and during the Kean years, the Board and Manager would be left in no doubt that such shit is not acceptable to Blackburn Rovers fans.
  12. I’ve been going for over 50 years and had a ST for well over 40. I will continue to go, albeit there is no joy or enthusiasm left, but I won’t attend against Watford and will support any boycott called. If it fails, at least some of us have at least tried to find a way to save our club !
  13. We are a beaten fan base. We are literally on our knees after 15 years of attrition and with the remaining loyal of barely 7,000 containing a good number seemingly afflicted with Stockholm syndrome and unable to fight back even when the point of no return is fast approaching. I love my club but being a Blackburn Rovers fan is becoming embarrassing 😞
  14. Wrexham were decent and were without Moore, Broadhead and Windass and won’t earn an easier 3 points all season.
  15. I suggested that Joseph be on bench a few matches back but obviously the Manager didn’t take my suggestion up !
  16. Good post that. I was hoping that we might win last night but I certainly wasn’t expecting to and in all honesty, i really thought we might lose it, would have been absolutely typical Rovers of recent years.
  17. Because we have literally no goal scoring threat and need to win the next match, he needs a plan B and I just think he doesn’t have many options.
  18. Ishmael has made his point and unless Big Mak is close to a move that will deliver some cash or even get him off the wage bill, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start against Hollywood FC.
  19. Three attributes the recruitment team were to focus on were physicality, pace and athleticism. For my money, we are still sorely missing in all three facets and especially, some genuine pace throughout the team. I would say that both Hedges and Ryan A have some pace but the rest are just far too slow and pace up front is just non existent and urgently needs addressing if we are to stay up this season.
  20. As I said this morning Chaddy, we were never winning that 0 3. In all honesty, given we have such an abysmal record against poor teams on horrendous runs, I am just relieved that we didn’t get beat.
  21. Just where has that Yuki Ohashi gone that looked a composed finisher ! Coming off the bench against Derby to score on his debut, he looked to have what it takes but he has missed an absolute shed load of really good chances this season. Love his effort but this season, his finishing has been absolutely woeful !
  22. I think that is highly unlikely, I would take 4 points from the next two games.
  23. Everybody on this Board knows that, Jim 🙈 I am fearing the worst but hoping for the best but good on you for turning out.
  24. Harry Berry, life long Rovers fan, author and club historian, spot on here ! No one wants to boycott but we all want our club to survive and we should send a clear and united message by a no show at the Watford fixture.
