He’s at best, a very average Championship player. If there is a team prepared to pay him that coin, I would be amazed and they must be absolutely mad.

He might even end up down the middle as yet. Pace and a bit of power is what defenders hate and he at least has that, whereas Yuki is a penalty box poacher who is a willing worker but slow and can’t hold the play up. Dated I know but a little and large alongside Big Mak, but to be effective the latter needs to improve massively and start winning headers and improving his holding up and use of ball.

That would be more than a plan than we deployed. Simply nothing going forward, zero creativity and no chances created. Yuki is far too slow and lack the strength and ability to be a loan striker and Big Mak just doesn’t ever look like scoring goals and yet, we seem to have no plan to add to strikers. If you don’t score goals, we won’t win football matches.

Yuki can’t play up top alone, far too slow and hasn’t got the strength or ability to hold up.

Right behind you Glen, we all know it isn’t going away until Pasha / Gestede are removed and ultimately, the Venkys flag is lowered from Ewood / Brockhall. Only then, will we have any chance of reclaiming our club and the birth right of being able follow a normal football club. I admire how you always come across as so cheerful, despite the heartbreak of following our once proud club. I would find it impossible to come across with such a cheery disposition when opining on the sad state of affairs at my club.

I’m not keen on Travis leaving, purely because it is just further evidence of our club being dismantled, assets being sold and replaced by Poundland signings. From a purely football perspective, I’ve never thought he is much of a player, very limited ability wise.

Possible that I am wrong but my recollection is that he said that he had the makings of a £10m player. He signed a 5 year contract in 2022 before the budget cuts and they were securing an asset that they believed had EPL potential, I don’t think he will be on much less that £750k a year.

He was dubbed a £10m player by Mowbray and the club were really keen to secure him on a 5 year deal. No way that he is on less than £12k, my guess is circa £15k.

I don’t rate Pears and Buckley has done nothing but gone backwards for the last 3 / 4 years. The thing that is fairly certain is that they are both towards the very top of the pay scale !

This is really dire, the second goal was just pathetic, far too easy ! I like Yuki, he works hard and like last year will get a few goals but never going to be a real threat, far too slow and just doesn’t have the strength or game to play as a loan striker. Ismael got a massive task on his hand, no doubt with hands tied behind his back by Pasha and Pune.

Eustace building a strong squad, I expect they will go well and challenge for play offs. At this level, Morrison’s strength and Brewster’s pace will cause real problems, and the £7m signing from America to come in at some stage. Imagine Brewster has had to take a huge pay cut and so probable that he didn’t have many options.

The importance of a good pre season, especially for the older players can’t be overstated. Forshaw on signing up was bigging that up and now looks like he is bloody injured before a kicking a ball in anger 😡
